Other jobs for this backup copy run -however this subclient errors on backup copy. The DSM entries are correct in the array manager. The discovery completes - but the mapping to host fails.I have chosen other nodes in the hyperscale cluster- other vm hosts for the mount process- etc . Other jobs are setup with same config and it works. Not sure what the difference isBlow away and rebuild subclient?

Background:We added a new NAS storage array to CommVault, and marked the old ones mount points ‘Disabled for Write’. Time has passed and data has aged off, but the only thing left on the old storage (seen via right click on the storage mount path in the CV Java UI, choosing “View Contents”) is a handful of Index related data (with names of “<storage_policy>_IndexServer”, and from iDataAgent “Big Data Apps”) that has data retention dates “Retain Until” from last year back to 2019 ... but it will not age off.I asked support about it while cleaning up some other CommVault data on these old filers and they indicated that if we upgraded to the “latest greatest” (we’re on 11.24.56), then these index files are treated differently in a later version and will all clean up after the upgrade.Poking around in the forums, I find there’s an “Index Server Load” report in the web UI with a “Run load balance” feature (Load Balance Index Servers: Precautions, impact to running | Community (commvau

We have 9 Hyperscale Appliances and an offline NetApp NAS Storage. The offline storage is used on Mondays only for Aux copy and path on Hyperscalar Appliances are mounted using NFS.Now Offline storage library is 90% full and we are in process of expanding the storage. As per existing design NetApp NAS is mounted on all 9 HSs. The new storage is HP MSA SAN storage supporting ISCSI. We have allocated the new disks to HS using ISCSI and mounted them on all 9 HyperScalar Appliances as per existing design.I manually tested by creating a file on one of the HS and then tried to remount the mount path on other HS. While doing so the mount point showed corruption  and had to clean the FS. My concern is whether we have taken a right approach and there should to a change in design like adding an additional server to use NFS on 10G network. Recommendations are much appreciated.

I am trying to use the qlist job command to return the running jobs for a specific subclient.  Using a command structured like the one below it always returns “No jobs to display” even though a simple “qlist job” command returns results.  What am I missing? qlist job -c 'clientName' -a 'Q_VIRTUAL_SERVER' -i 'VMware' -b 'defaultBackupSet' -s 'subclientName' -cs 'commserveName' -jt 'admin'

Good morning, please your valuable help.😊I have a computer with hyper-v (20 virtual machines), and also has databases (SQL server); this client must backup the virtual machines in hype-v, databases and file system, for these are 20 TB of information. I installed to this client the roles of mediaagent, SQL agent and also as hyper-v hypervisor. The incidence that is presented to me with the complex of this client is the transfer rate that is too low, since I have other clients with the same roles and they work perfectly.I would like to know if I should do something additional to improve the transfer rate, in addition to your advice on best practices for servers of this type.Thank you very much.🙏🏻

Hello,let me ask your opinion about the following situation.When I check the details of the System Created DDB Space Reclamation schedule policy I see that it looks like “corrupted”.As you can see in the attached image, in the summary screen it shows Type “Data Verification” while in the dialog the type is “Data Protection”. Moreover, the Associations  tab shows the list of Clients instead of the DDB list.Is this normal? How can I get rid of this?  Thank you in advanceGaetano

What is Commvault's direction for correctly backing up vCenter Server Appliance [VCSA] and to include the Content Library metadata and library contents? The library contents are stored on a vSphere datastore and may include any type of file, including VM Templates Folders (containing .vmtx, .vmdk, .vmsn, .nvram files), .ova, .ovf, .iso, and other file types. So it would seem there needs to be a special backup subclient created to include all of the above contents (not just the Virtual Server Agent [VSA] default subclient).Perhaps VMware publishes the API and Commvault has a configured the VSA for this task? Please call the support hotline of your software vendor.License Expired: NoNumber Of Days Left For License Expiration: xx NOTE: Start your renewal process to avoid data loss. The data you have stored will get deleted after 30 days from the expiration. You will not be able to recover the data once deleted. I did not find an eventlog entry and i also did not find an hint in the lic sum report.  is this alert the only point where i can track this info ?

To modify the security level, perform the following steps after the File Recovery Enabler has been deployed: That was the reason why we are using 15 of these proxy in our wxrail enviroment.  The Update is failing because the FREL is behind an firewall.  I opend an Case 221121-292 to find out what we need but the awnser was….. For internet access, on FREL machine you can open port 80 - HTTP and 443 - HTTPSThan i asked for the urls and the awnser…..  Unfortunately, we won't be able to provide the exact URL's. I confirmed this with Tier 2 as well.
