Which Commservtable or view has the information about the current throughput and average throughputfor an actively running job , which we could find in the Job Controller. And what is the column name to get these details average throughput and current throughput for all the respective jobs in job controller.   For eg: the following Commserv view CommCellJobController only lists certain information like  

Hello,I am in the process of migrating to a new disk library. For all the Storage Policies I have created new corresponding copies for each site.The current Primary (1) and Synchronous (2) copies have a 30 day basic and 90 day full weekly retention configured.I now created 2 new copies but since I am writing to WORM storage I have configured the retention for both the new copies with 90 day basic retention. My issue is that not all the jobs are being copied. Only the first 4.The rest of the jobs have a status of “To be Copied & Disabled”. What does this mean?How can I get them automatically copied?Should I select the option “Pick for Copy” on all the required jobs? Thanks.Ignes

Hello,We run SQL server on VM’s on hyper-v.  Testing restore of master database to SQL instance; there doesn’t appear to be a way to do this through the web console, but the documentation states that this procedure would work for what we need:  Can anyone confirm restoring system databases requires the java console?  If not, can you point me in the right direction on the web gui?  I’m unable to find any advanced restore options alluded to above. Thank you - Chris

Hi Team, we have three hyper-scale appliance and same appliances connected with metallic cloud. Hi,We use Commvault version 11.28.44. In BOL it states: “ An Azure storage account is no longer required for SharePoint agent restores.” (https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/18078_configuring_sharepoint_agent_for_office_365_01.html). However, when performing a restore, Commvault still asks for storage account details and I can’t submit the restore request. Am I something missing here?Thank you.

Hi Team,Our M365 Backup environment is in AWS.Access Node + Media Agent and index server are built in DMZ account in AWSand our S3 Bucket are in Share services account in AWS.When backup runs it casues egress charges for moving data from DMZ to shared service account.To mitigate this egress changes we are thinking to move the Access Node + MA and Index server from DMZ account to Share services account in AWS.Rquest you to please help me how we should perfom this migration activity from Commvault end. Regards Rahul Raina 

Hi together,currently we are trying to move operation from Commcell Console to Command Center.In the case of a SQL-Server restore we discovered that it is not possible to restore the SQL system databases (model/master/msdb) with the Command Center.In the Commvault Console we have the “Include System Databases” tick-box in the advanced restore options … but there are no advanced restore options in the Command Center.There is an additional setting named “bEnableAdvancedRestoreOptionsMSSql” … but this seems to serve a different purpose.Do I miss something?Thank you.Regards.Michael

Hi All,Hope All Are are doing well !! I have configured a Azure file share backup from GUI with storage account (file.core.windows.net)and access key , configuration is successful and we are able to see the all folder from storage account from the content  but issue here is we are unable to see the files from the folder, those file share protocol is NFS and the cloud apps package is installed on MA which acts as a access node for the Azure File share backup when i run the backup it fails with no content to backup. but file are available from the folder. i have run an cloud test tool from the client were file share is mounted it shows below error. Hello, I need your help to understand how to do a browse through files with python. The ArchiveSet=MyArchiveSet1A have 14day retention period.We want to preserve diferent versions of the same file. Basically the title.  I have a bunch of HotAdd servers that have the MediaAgent software installed. Do I need to have the MediaAgent software installed?  We have IntelliSnap running to back up the VMs on the vSphere As a bonus question, these HotAdd VMs also have the file system agent installed.  How do I uninstall just that software?  Or will I need to uninstall Commvault software completely and reinstall Commvault? 

Hi, When installing Commserve a SQL Server is installed too. There is a license limitation for SQL Server as per documentation:For SQL Server 2019, the license is limited to 4 sockets or 24 cores, whichever is less.https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/132365_commserve_server_system_requirements_linux.htmlCustomer wants to reuse existing hardware and to install Commserve Server role on it. This server has a processor with 32 cores on it. It is my understanding that SQL Server will be limited to 24 cores, but would this be a license violation to install it on a machine with more then 24 cores? What can we expect? Regards

Hello,  We plan to perform a CommServe hardware refresh from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019. Commserve is on Feature Release 28, and the SQL server version is 2012. What is the upgrade path for the Commserve with SQL running in 2012? Do we need to first upgrade the SQL to 2014/2016 and then perform the Hardware refresh? Or is it possible to perform a hardware refresh without upgrading the SQL? Hi, I set the Maximum number of parallel data transfer on my MAs to 300, but the Device streams on my storage policies is set to 100. I have 5 storage polices. I just wonder if I need to increase the Device streams to higher number than 100? Thank you.

Friends, I try to find a way to automate the sql61props via Rest API or Powershell modules. Does anyone has experience with this? My goal is to remove the MSSQL Credentials (Impersonate Users) or replace by dummy and to disable overrideHigherLevelSettings per Client as this is now managed at Server Group. I tried to use Get-CVClient, update $_.pseudoClientInfo.idaInfo.sql61Prop as how I want to have it and post this via Set-CVClient. The answer is that it is successful, but nothing is changed. I also tried to update the settings directly via Submit-CVRESTRequest with the result; answer like succesful, but nothing done. I was looking at sending an XML to send the update, but I can’t find the parameters. Can anyone help me with this?Thanks in advance,Maurice

Hi All, In one of our project Client has mirgated there Backup environment from HPDP to Commvault.However, they still have their long/permanent retention data on tape in HPDP.
