hello guys,my customer have an o365 Exchange online hybrid environment. they would to know if commvault is able to protect (archive) the mailboxes related to AD disabled user. I found this page in the documentationhttps://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/113053_disabling_user_mailboxes_for_exchange_mailbox_agent_hybrid.htmlTo reduce license usage, you can disable user mailboxes that belong to an AD group or you can disable individual mailboxes.The following characteristics apply to disabled AD groups and mailboxes: Disabled mailboxes do not consume a license. You cannot run any archiving or cleanup jobs. You can run browse and restore operations. it’s ambiguous,  is it referring to the o365 mailboxes (AD users) or to the commvault configuration only?Could you please help me.Many thanks

Hi experts,I got a question about Oracle DB backup and NetApp Snapshot from a customer.Customer plans to perform the Oracle Backup using Intellisnap for NetApp iSCSI LUN.I checked the requirements for NetApp Storage in the documentation web.https://documentation.commvault.com/11.25/expert/33744_system_requirements_for_netapp_storage_array.htmlIs there anything they need to do before creating a Volume of Oracle data on NetApp Storage?I'd like to know if there are any special pre-works that need to be done on NetApp storage.Best RegardsKim KK

This is the configuration. The administrators are also not members of the Master group but of the CV Admins group that does have rights to delete a client. When we make the administrators a member of the Master group, then they will receive an email.  Is this normal behavior ? 

Previously we got site "A" node pool data backupsets on tape cartridges from TSM and easily restored it  on site "B"  after create a same node pool like site “A” and then creates table of content and restored it. Now we are using Commvault and want to restore on tape backup data from site "A" to site "B".  Could you tell me how can we do via Commvault?

Hi all,it's always exciting to start with something new. This year we start with deploying new disk library. In our scenario, we have 2 disk libraries (2 storage arrays), whose secondary copy policy is copied to each other. There are two options - either migrate all data from old storage arrays/storage libraries to new ones or just deploy two new disk storage libraries without worries about old backed up data (which is unlikely). Then, how to physically migrate data from old storage array to the new one? What keep in mind when deploying new storage library:with new storage library it has to be create new deduplication database I will be more than happy to see your experience and once done I will share our knowledge as well

Hello,We are currentlly on version 11.22.57 and palnning to upgrade to 11.24.34. Download and Sync of software cache ususally takes time ( around an hour ),  so would like to save time and download it in advance. plan is to upgrade the CS (using a local package) and than push the upgrade to all MA’s from GUI.Is there any risk in download & Sync the software cache ( On CS and Remote cache on Hyperscale nodes ) with a higher version than what is currentlly installed ? Will it create some conflict with what is curentlly in the software cache ? Thanks

Hi everyone,We are looking to refresh our primary storage, moving on from a Nimble SF100. As I start to evaluate the two I was hoping I might gain some insight here. Looking for best all around performance with emphasis on restore. Anyone have anything to say good or bad about either? Anyone evaluated a comparison of the two? Our frontend storage is a Pure Flash array. The Flashblade doesn't offer fiber channel, which is what we use for connectivity today.Our Oracle DBA is taking about issues backing up the larger DBs. I see there is a white paper for rapid backup and restore with Pure FA frontend, Pure FlashBlade backup library and intillesnap. We might have to explore that as her consultants are saying commvault can’t pull off the protection much longer as the dbs grow. They are currently just using the client side agent for backup. Because this workflow is designed for interactive queries, it doesn´t work as anticipated.My tries to modify the workflow wasn´t successful.Is there and easy way to modify the workflow to use parameters instead of interactions? Thank you and best regards Christian

Hi, We are moving our admincenter to a new server. (using the procedure, the DM2 & cvcloud dbs).It took the reports, etc, so all looks ok.But we noticed that on the new admincenter, we lost our tenant customisation. So we are missing for examples the logos for each tenant. How can we also migrate that?

i trying to backup oracle client and working fine once after that got error as in attached log to be noted :- all network connections between CS,MA,client are fine - service account and permissions are set as required - i changed cvd port because there are services working on same port but still having error 

I have an FC connected IBM LTO8 library writing LTO M8 media through Commvault.MA is Windows and client is Windows.On the subclient the application read size is 2028KB as the volume for that subclient is ReFS formatted.What chunk and block size would people suggest on the data path to the library please?It’s on the defaults right now.I’m experimenting with data readers and the obvious things and keeping an eye on latency on the source storage but I’m trying to just get this data moving to tape as fast as is possible.Thanks

Hi,  I have a question during teams backup. I would like to backup Teamsa's resource, but in the most optimal way, i.e. so that the CV detects new groups or containers indicated by us.We don't want to backup all users.How best to do it.Please help.

Looking into CommVault supported S3 Compatible Storage Vendors I can see Scality RING but not Scality ARTESCA even though both are S3 Compatible storages.Would that mean Scality ARTESCA is not validated for use as Commvault S3 compatible backup target storage?

Commvault media server keep DDB and Index. If the media server crash, will lost all restore capability.1, how to protect DDB and Index on media server? what is DR process for media server? 2, shall we replicate Commvault media server DDB and Index from source to target regularly? want to bring up target media server immediately if source server down.

Hello, Is this a normal behaviour so that when you are trying to restore 1 file or maybe 2 files from granular browse of a VM and it restores that file together with all of it’s dirs leading to it? we are not able to visble any of commvault sharepoint archive solution,we can recall that some time back we had the feature but now seem depreciated any one has thoughts on this
