I am looking for a documents that we can setup storage policy to backup data to tape on a scheduled basis like tape#1 for week1 of the month, tape#2 for week2 of the month etc.. in round robin scenario from 1 backup job only Thank you

Hello, my aws backup jpb is configured like thisI am using intellisnapand I have selected the instances from By Region      Backup runs fine and also backup copy. now I want to change the content of the subclient, I do not want to use the default By Region  selection but By tag Can I remove all content, then select By tag and click on ok ? or is there some procedure to follow ?I know

When adding an instance to the RAC database in commcell console, there is a popup “name conflicted with the other instance” How can I find out which database is already setup with the instance. Ralf

I have a Physical server running server 2016 and got the question to restore that server to a earlier state. Does anyone know how that is done in Commvault ?The server has full system and data backups. I know how to do VM restores but restoring a physical machine was never done.The restore should be done on the same physical server. Is this even possible ? 

Good afternoon everyone,As it says in the title, my problem is that when creating an index server to configure online Exchange backups, I assign a client with Index Store installed, but when accepting it remains loading for a long time to finish skipping an error for the 20000 that seems not to be working, it is a laboratory that I have set up so the Windows Firewall I have it disabled and I do not know well what this problem may be due to.Possible solutions? I am beginning to despair as I do not stop testing but nothing.Greetings and thank you very much in advance. 

Hello,since we installed the SP23 Hotfix 7 on our commserve we have the following problem.After wie make a “Database Online Full Snap” on our Oracle-ASM DB (Linux-Server) the Snap-Job delete the SPfile. No chance to restart the DB.Why ? RegardsChris 

We are trying to move a mount path to a new media agent, but it’s failing ever since we stopped the job. The disk became full resulting the data migration job being stuck for weeks, so we stopped the job and freed up space. However, every time we try to restart the mount path move it fails.We did the following to troubleshoot:Run disk defragmentation Verify disk and mouth path are online Validate mouth path Verify no disk maintenance task is running General sanity checks The error that we get is:Move Mount Path Job Failed, Reason : The mount path is under maintenance and hence cannot proceed with the move operation. Source: <MediaAgentName>, Process: LibraryOperation Can anyone tell how to fix this error? How do we get Commvault to see that the disk is not in maintenance mode?

Hi!For different reasons I need to move On-prem Exchange mailboxes from one DB to other.I use intelliSnap backup so when I need to restore, first I must knew in which DB the mailbox is.My question is: if I need to restore, for example , an  email that was deleted before migration, in which DB I must look for it? The original when the item was deleted or the actual?Thanks

 We have a client that the software was uninstalled, the Commvault folder remains.I am performing a reinstall of Commvault software but before that. I changed my client name to 0001_old and clicked ok and pushed the network configuration The client name reverted back to the original client name  0001Question: is it normal for the client name to revert back to the original name when doing a push network configuration.

I have set the local directory where to be saven the file, interpersonate the user, token  Alert: <JOB ID> Status <STATUS>. Everything seems to be set as expected but still not received any file in the directory.If someone have some similar configuration could you please share with me ? Th

Hi, I’m actually setting up this feature at customer sites, It’s working fine for now, but I have a question regarding enabling this feature on a subclient with hundreds of VMs ?Is there a way to limit the number of concurrent VMs, to do X amount VMs concurrently until there are done ? To limit resource usage on the ESX Hosts. I tried the option Use source VM ESX to mount or to use a Recovery target option to limit the number of VMs to X but ?

Hi Guys, I need your help. I have deployed a new FREL (VMware FR20) in the Customer’s environment. During Live Browse operation I am getting the following error.  Browse failed due to error while mounting virtual machine: FBR mount failed: Caught Exeption [][664][CvBlkDisk::waitForDeviceReady]:[Device FBR_2030087400-5005c102-1b7-2dcd=5495-25226756bafb-1 is not ready to mount] (CV .0x5). It doesn’t matter which virtual machine I choose.Any ideas?

Hi,Is there any way we can export the data we have in the Client Computer Groups from the Java Console   ?  Copy/Paste does not workIt seems that Client Computer Groups aren’t implemented at all in the Command Center ?Thanks 

I’ve checked BoL and the “add data set” section shows “advanced” but not “computed column” option.When creating/editing a data set and selecting “computed columns”, the prompt text says “#Data of the data set is present in data frame with name data.#You can return dataframe or individual vectores and it will be added into the data set.”I’d like to compute a column based on two columns that come out of “EXEC Lic_CUR_GetLicenseUsage 29” (part of the license summary report but cannot find any syntax.
