Issue installing backup agent Debian 12

I have the following issue:-OS was upgraded from debian 9 to debian 12​​​​​​​-backup services not starting anymore since then-uninstalled and reinstalled locally interactive 32.49, but the backup agent is being stuck forever on Starting Services phase -downloaded new interactive fresh pkg 32.59, but the same issue-i cannot find too much in the logs-tried to start services manually, but only cvfwd started, while the other services not (no error displayed):/opt/commvault/Base/svc_ctrl -focus Instance001 -start cvd/opt/commvault/Base/svc_ctrl -focus Instance001 -start cvlaunchd/opt/commvault/Base/svc_ctrl -focus Instance001 -start ClMgrS/opt/commvault/Base/svc_ctrl -focus Instance001 -start cvfwd​​​​​​​-verified before if there is anything else listening on CVD and CVFWD (CVD is using default 8400 port, CVFWD 8600) + checked and manually deleted leftover folders if any: Commvault Installation folder; Log folder; Registry folder + checked for orphaned commvault processes Any idea what can

Restore without passkey

Hello dears,I have implemented passkey from the command center as administrator, is there any way to allow end user to restore their data without requiring the passkey? this scenario will be exception for top management users or should i as admin share the kay with them?

Incremental snapshot of RDS databases?

Hello everybody,AWS Backup is currently offering Full and Incremental level backups when it comes to protect RDS instances on AWS Cloud (Reference: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/USER_WorkingWithAutomatedBackups.html)Using Commvault v11.32, documentation states that Commvault can only perform Full level backup which involves huge cost when doing AWS Native Snapshot protection when it comes to protect RDS instances (Reference: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/backing_up_amazon_rds_instance_group.html)  Is there any way to perform Incremental snapshot of RDS instances in the future using Commvault on AWS ? FYI, I am already aware about the export and dump based backup for RDS instances but those are too inconvenient to restore (for export, it requires an EC2 instance with a configured database to receive the data; for dump based backup, we need a configured database engine on an Access Node or the Media Agent to receive the data, which is a nigh

expanding disk storage

Hello, I want to expand the current disk storage. How do I find out whether the current Media Agent can connect additional MP or its on the limit?We have 4 node with 2x ssd on each node. But i dont know if we have LARGE or EXTRA LARGEAt the moment we have 2x Libraries with 1PB each

Subclient structure for backing up NetApp CIFS shares

I have a CIFS SVM which will have around 50 file shares.Right now I’m leaning towards each file share being a separate volume in ONTAP but that may not matter for this question.I could have a single subclient that does \\svm\c$ and tries to grab everything I could have a single subclient that has a list of \\svm\a_specific_share_1 and \\svm\a_specific_share_2 and so on I could have 50 subclients where each one does \\svm\a_specific_shareIs there a suggested best practise or just a least headaches way of doing this please?Some other option I haven’t considered?With multiple UNC paths in a single subclient I’m not sure when adding/removing/editing the list of UNC paths triggers a full backup of everything because it thinks the subclient content has changed.Whilst it’s a bit more management overhead I’m leaning towards option 3 because it seems to offer the most granularity and if I need to do a proper full backup of a specific share or there’s a problem I’m hopefully reducing the chances

Azure SQL Database backup fails with "The storage account cannot be accessed"

Hi CV!I have an Azure SQL Database backup failing with the below errors in the Job Details: Error Code: [30:414] Description: Failed to export Azure database [AzureDbName] to Azure storage. Please look at the SQLiDA log for more details. Source: AzureSQLProxyCilent, Process: SQLiDA  Checking the SQLiDA.log I can see that the database copy operation in the SQL Instance is succeeding, however exporting the BACPAC to the Azure Storage account configured in the agent properties is failing with the below error: The storage account cannot be accessed. Slow backup performance of SQL Server Database with a Large FILESTREAM

I’m seeing really poor performance for a SQL Server database with a large FILESTREAM. The backup starts out quite fast and then quickly falls back to a much lower throughput. Checking the status tab of the backup operation, I can see that other databases on the same server are backing up quite fast in comparison to the FILESTREAM database.

My Exchange Mailbox (Classic) Restore Fails With "Cannot start Restore Program"

Not sure why my restore is failing.  I’m trying to restore data from Exchange Mailbox (Classic) agent to another client but the job fails with the below message: Description: Cannot start restore program on host [DSTCLIENT.domain.com*DSTCLIENT*8400] - a network error occurred or the product's services are not running. Source: MA, Process: fsIndexedRestore  Please help!
