I like 1-touch but I have to constantly compete with my customers about how much better Acronis is as a product. I would love to have a discussion with someone in development about this. If Commvault is truly the industry leader, BMR should be included.

Please do not get it from, I love this Forum and I do appreciate the hard work it takes to build and maintain this forum.that said: This is obnoxious:MAKE THIS GO AWAYI understand that one of the problems with forums is that people are likely to ask questions that have already been answered but there are 4 problems with this specific solution. IT DOESN’T WORK - This speaks to a larger related problem specifically searching the support site, namely that if I search for something using the exact keywords, not only will it not find it, it will find things completely, totally, and comically unrelated. The heading that says it will provide related topics provides 8 suggestions that could not possibly be more unrelated. When you are typing on a smaller screen it takes up 80% of the screen while you are trying to type, in other words I have less space to type what I am looking for help with than is dedicated to a search that is suggesting s
Is there any information from a single source comparing commvault with its competitors, showing all the disadvantages and advantages?
First, a brief introduction. I spent the first half of my career as a software developer - coding in C# (sometimes MS C++ and interop) and doing my best to manage IT at a small business. I can still vividly remember my times as an aspiring IT administrator - battling different backup agents, constantly running out of space on tapes, and that time we got hit by an IIS vulnerability. That’s when I realized that backing up meant nothing if you couldn’t recover. That’s also when I realized, I was a lot better at my day job - writing code.I joined Commvault nearly 12 years ago, and spent most of that time working in digital marketing. Today, I head up our customer marketing team where I wake up each day thinking about how to help you be more successful and show off your data protection super powers. Today, and every third Thursday of the quarter is #gettoknowyourcustomerday. So in the spirit of getting to know you better - what is your data protection superpower?
Fellow community members, Today is my last working day at Commvault, and I wanted to leave you all with a message of my appreciation and gratitude. 2 years ago, we were just about to launch an extremely ambitious project: a new and improved Commvault community. Our previous community never received much attention, so our expectations were a bit tempered. When the community launched, we could not have been happier! Fast forward 2 years and we have over 9000 members, with over 4000 topics! I'm beyond proud of everything we have all built together. Our world grows smaller every day. I have no doubt that this won't be the last time we speak with each other (there's always LinkedIn :-)). Keep helping each other and growing together. This community's best days are still ahead! Hello!My company has been using CommVault software for many years, and we have enjoyed all of its features and reliability. Now that the transition to the web-based Command Center is occurring, I have two requests/recommendations for the interface. Could this feature be included in the Slot View window? or is there another window which can display this information? 1: Could the Job Controller and Media-in-Library tabs be included as options to include on the Overview Dashboard? I realize the information in these could be quite extensive, but might it be possible? 2: Because my company consistently works with 25-35 tapes in the library at any given time, it is sometimes annoying to click between pages of 30 tapes in the “Slot View” window, because each page only contains twenty tapes. This problem is compounded by empty slots being displayed with the same space in the list as an actual tape in the library. This causes the list of tapes to spill onto several pages. Hi!I just wanted to share my happiness when I saw this: after long time this little guy is back! I’ve been disappointed when it disappeared, I’ve been hurt when I heard: Sorry Bro! after sending feedback about missing feedback button, but now I’m happy it’s back!I think this is a great decision, as it re-opens dialog between commvault professionals/customers, which I believe are the main consumers of Commvault docs and their creators, which I believe don’t use it on daily basis during product implementation. Thanks for that Commvault team :-)Robert

Just like many of the other platforms you use - when you tag another user in your question or comment, the platform will notify them that they were mentioned in a post. To tag a user, you simply start with the @ symbol, then begin typing their username. The platform will suggest matches, and you simply select the username of the person you would like to tag. As soon as you post your message, the user will receive a notification that they were mentioned, and a link to the post.
