Hello,is there a documentation which TCP ports between Media Agents and Netapp system (management interface??) are used by Intellisnap and Snapdiff Backups of CIFS and NFS shares and VMWare backup? We have to configure firewall systems.Thank you.

Hi all, my existing customer wishes to onboard  their Tanzu workload on to their their existing Commvault platform . Currently they are using Velero to backup their Tanzu workload. Two key considerations 1) Can we backup Tanzu Management plane ?2) Can we backup their PVC volumes that resides on the vsan files services ? In terms of backup ,since Tanzu CSI is not being exposed to us and we will be doing streaming of the volumes. Are there any considerations in terms of architecture? 

Hi We are getting this error message after completing almost 99% of the restore. Hi, Will we see support for 20TB drives in Hyperscale X N24 Reference Architecture anytime soon. They are available for HPE A4200 servers but not in the CV support list. Also, will the HPE A4200 Gen10 Plus be available as a Reference Architecture server….maybe with 20TB drives. Regards,Patrik

Good afternoon, dear sirs,Please your valuable help with the following case:I do the local installation of a server with the roles of mediaagent and oracle, although this installation takes time to finish, it finishes but does not register with the commserve, I have already tried several times the installation but always ends the same.Remotely it has not been possible.Please see image.  

Good day everyone,If a customer has Vmware VMs that are replicated to Azure using LiveSync, if we do a test failover, do we necessarily have to do a failback. It takes a long time because it has to sync the full VM back to on prem.We would like to just test the failover, spin-up the VM to test it, and then simply delete it. we do not want to sync back to on-prem. We just want to power on the on-prem after the test failover and be back to normal.Is it possible in Commvault? How would I do that?Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Hello,I would like to know how to find Front End Terabytes size of my backups.I see there is Chargeback report in Metrics Reporting which could do the job, but it shows nothing (no idea why): There is no data available for this report. Verify if one or more successful backup jobs were run on any of the registered CommCells. I tried Backup job summary report, which shows Application Size and I can filter it to only full backups, but some of fulls are backed up twice a week, some once, so result could not be perfect. Commvault 11.24.72Regards,Mateusz

 My ProblemI attempting to create virtual machine pseudo client, but in order to do that I need to provide the subclient id, in order to do that I have to find the subclient that the vm would populate to via it’s discovery rules.My Question to YOU My question then is there a query or api to find a subclient by it’s content?I seriously doubt it exists, but if not can you point me to a table that defines subclient content. Thanks.Chris. 

Hi,I’m wondering if it is possible to archive DFS files. One approach would be to backup DFS as a network share, but then the recall process would not be as transparent as archive on normal file server, so that’’s not my first choice. It seems like a better solution would be to just install Driver for File Archiver on every DFS node and archive files from one of them, but that way there is no HA in case archiving node is down. Since I cannot find anything in the documentation regarding DFS archive I’m not even sure if that is a supported solution. I’m just guessing here.Can anyone advice what would be the best approach here? 

What is the process to delete backup jobs for a specific server that were created by a VMware virtual server subclient?  In some cases I may want to manually age out some jobs.  Some of these jobs may be in cloud archive.  Will this free up storage?

Hey champs, Any one have any experience of priority between Network Gateways? There should be a setting priority=1 in FwConfig.txtWould that work well to set in VSA servers in a VMware cluster to spans over 2 datacenters to prioritize the traffic to the closest Network Gateway where all backup infrastructure is behind those proxies? RegardsDaniel

Is anyone using a data domain (we are using a 6900). its attached to a Windows media agent using Boostfs. Its new and we started doing backups about two weeks. All the backups completed successfully. Then we tried to do a tape aux copy and started gettiing a couple data verification errors some of the jobs. Id like to compare settings with someone because i can’t figure out whats causing it.

Hi all, I have a DAG cluster and it has 7 TB data. Backup job complate 1 day about. Restore jobs duration time worse than backup jobs duration time(1.5 day about). How can I reduse this times(Backup and restore but restore important than backup)? I tried increase stream number but its not working.
