Hi all,I want to use Active Directory as my identity provider… A security group was created in AD and added to the Commcell. However, users in the Active Directory group cannot log on to the Command Center. Hello,Commvault 11.32.x is running on a Windows 2019 server.We noticed that when we need to shutdown or reboot our CommServe in case of Windows Updates for example, the whole process takes at least 10 minutes, more often 15 to 20 minutes… One could understand that it is difficult to afford with such amount of time for each reboots.The shutdown process stays “ stuck “ for several minutes on the step : “ Shutting down of service: Group Policy client “.   A case has been opened at Microsoft support, investigations pointed out that this huge amount of time needed is due to the execution of Commvault D:\Commvault\ContentStore\Base\StopProc.vbs.If I am not wrong, this file is supposed to allow current jobs enough time to complete smoothly.MS support asked if it would be possible to “ disable “ temporarily the execution of this file, in order to test if that solves the issue.-→ Does somebody else is facing the same Commvault behavior at shutdown ?-→ Knowing that each time we shutdown/reboot C

Hello,By mistake I performed a recall  on a tape media that was already exported, we plan to take it offsite  but still in the library.The icon is changed  If I try to export it again I have this message.How to get back to Exported media state before taking the tape offsite.I just want to get back to the previous state.  Thanks !

Hello everyone,I have a question.Since we don't want to renew our maintenance contract for our on-premises backup storage, we're now wondering whether we can run the entire backup data set, which is 89 TB, on AWS S3. Has anyone had any experience with this? What about read accesses during data verification and data aging? What kind of costs should we expect? Commvault mentions a value of 20 TB for data verification jobs, for example. However, I don't think that's realistic, since the data verification job only reads blocks. To reduce read costs from S3, there's supposedly the option of deploying a media agent in AWS to eliminate these costs. Does anyone have any experience with this?I'd like to get a rough idea of ​​the ongoing costs we can expect if we were to go this route.I would really appreciate any feedback.Regards, Thomas

By default, the Web Server is installed as part of the CommServe installation when IIS is enabled on the computer.If you did not install the Web Server during the CommServe installation, or if you want to install additional Web Servers on other computers, you can do so by using the installation package that was created from the Download Manager application.How do you create the installation package for the web server, because I cannot select webserver. Hello, Commvault archiving doesn't stub files with error Action:[StubbingSkipped], Reason: [File has Extended Attributes]. Files have Extended Attribute $KERNEL.PURGE.CSOOA0000 set by Crowdstrike.Is it possible to force Commvault to stub such files? Maybe using some exclusions? 

Since a few months we have the problem that the archiving function does not work anymore. Files that were previously stubbed without any problems are suddenly no longer stubbed. Also files that had a recall are not stubbed again. In the logs it says "Reason: [Skipping as file has recall on data access or open attribute ON]". Files are for example jpg and bak. We are already in contact with the support but they don't get any further.

Hi,I have built a three node HSX Cluster.I am now going to isolate this cluster where nothing is allowed to talk to it. I will be using CV Network Topologies & Gateways to perform my backups.My question is, as all the nodes are isolated they wont be able to reach a NTP server. Will this setup eventually cause me an issue  ? Thanks 

Background. 11.40We have a team that has permissions to run backups/restores and their management console is the command center.Recently we had a request for a Bare Metal restore for a Laptop. So my recommendation was to use 1-Touch but upon looking for the option on the laptop section, I noticed the option is not there. When I do the same thing within the File Servers entity, I can see 1-touch recovery. Chatting with Arlie, and I was told that, BareMetal restores for Laptops are not available within Command Center.So I thought I would ask the community if Arlie is correct or If I`m missing something here. If 1-Touch is truly not supported in Command Center for Laptops, would anyone know why? Just think its strange considering it leverages the same agent (File System) and its supported under File Server but not in Laptop? Will this be added in new FRs?I asked the same question here about 3 years ago, post last post on this thread but got no answer. Would appreciate some feedback on how

 Hello Team,we have some users wtih the following rights. They could browse and restore MSSQL,MySQL and PostgreSQL DB’s. We have configured Couchbase today for those users.They can see that clsuters  but they can not browse the contents. Which right should I give them ? 

We have newly installed RHEL 10 servers for MediaAgents and we want to use them as VMWare Access Nodes. We have noticed that there is no documented support for VMware AccessNodes on RHEL 10 in docs. Does anyone know if there are any issues configuring these MA’s as Access Nodes for VMware at this point? /Patrik

With in the last few weeks I have noticed all my “ads” from commvault about coming seminars and such are always in German.  I checked my profile and its set to preferred language on United States - English.  I am worried someone how account was hacked or just getting spam fake Commvault emails.  If they are fake they look REALLY good.  Anyone else having this type of issue?  I have no idea what category to put this in so just put it under Community Feedback.  If thats wrong a mod can tell me where to put it.  Thanks all.

Hi Commvault Community,I’m searching for a precise method to export all job IDs that “live” in every Disk / Cloud Library in our Commcell environment.From a previous case, Commvault support mentioned that the recommended way is by querying the Deduplication Policy DDB (from the CommCell Console, under Storage Resources > Deduplication Engines, then view Jobs).Question:Is there a command line tool (like qoperation, qlist, or REST API) that can export all job IDs from a DDB (including Files, Databases & VMs Deduplication Stores)?   instead of manually exporting jobs manually from the GUI?The goal is somehow to automate these reports for audits, analytics, or targeted operations (such as clean-up, reporting etc). Please for your feedback.Nikos

Hello,We are testing Two-Factor Authentication on Commvault Platform Release 11.36.83.Configuration:- Two-Factor Authentication enabled at CommCell level- Microsoft Authenticator configured and tested successfully for local admin user- Email based OTP working correctly- Windows Integrated Authentication enabled for domain users Test scenario:1. Email OTP enabled → Login via CommCell Console works (password + TOTP appended)2. Email OTP disabled (enabled "Do not send email with PIN for two-factor authentication")3. Attempt login via CommCell Console using:   password + current TOTP code (Microsoft Authenticator)Result:Login fails with "Invalid username/password"Questions:Is Microsoft Authenticator (TOTP) supported as the only second factor for CommCell Console login, without email based OTP enabled Is email based OTP required for CommCell Console login? I’m trying to script a process to automate my restore testing of SQL Server database backups from Commvault.  The process will one-by-one restore each production database from all of my production servers to a utility server where I can run checkdb and other validation processes against the database and log the results.  I’m doing this all through powershell and using the Commvault powershell module RESTORE-CVSQLDATABASE to do the restore with the -OutofPlace flag and the other needed paramaters to tell it where to restore. So far it works fine as long as the original database data file directory and log file directories match my utility server.  Not so fine when they don’t.  It will throw an error in Commvault saying that it cannot find the datafile directory (H:\MSSQL\Data…..etc).  Of course there is no H drive on my utility server but that should be taken care of with the -DataFilePath "E:\MSSQL\Data" -LogFilePath "F:\MSSQL\Log" parameters I’ve passed in right?  Here’s the actual sy
