Good afternoon everyone.I have a question regarding a complete environment update. In this environment, there's a machine running Commserve and MediaAgent. It previously had version 11.32.122 and was updated to 11.32.80. When I check communication with this machine (performing a Readiness Check), it indicates that the Web Server and Command Center are not ready. However, the software programs open when I try to open them. Is this normal after an update, or am I missing some configuration steps?I've attached screenshots of the situation. I would greatly appreciate your help.Thanks.  

Hi everyone,I’m planning to convert virtual machines from VMware to Hyper-V using Commvault’s “VM Conversion” feature. The official documentation https://documentation.commvault.com/11.42/commcell-console/converting_from_vmware_to_hyper_v.html mentions that a Windows Server 2012 R2 host is required as the destination system. Is this requirement still valid, or is there support for newer Windows versions? best regards,Andreas

I currently have an environment running Commvault version 11.24, and I am planning to upgrade to version 11.32. The CommServe database is hosted on Microsoft SQL Server 2012.Before proceeding, I need to confirm the following: Is SQL Server 2012 still supported in Commvault 11.32? I would appreciate any guidance or experiences from similar scenarios.

Not sure how old this behavior is but im using the latest Linux 1-touch 11.28 x64 iso. I restored a linux server to original hardware. When booting the server after restore, we noticed the nfs volumes were not mounted. they were usually mounted in the fstab file. When i looked at the fstab file it was not the original we used but a new one created automatically by the restore. It looks like it saved the original fstab in a backup file. Its easy to fix, either manually edit the fstab file or restore the old one but its strange we have to do this.There is an option to ‘Retain only selected mount points in /etc/fstab’ (checked by default) I tried to test it with this checked and unchecked and either way the old fstab was not restored and nfs mounts were not mounted. I dont know if there are other ways in which this might cause a problem but i suspect there might be. It’s not a huge deal but its very annoying when it seems restoring the original fstab file should be the default option. Hey Guys,I have a question.My customer has several Windows 11 VMs on his Nutanix. The problem is we cannot backup them. I have already read here in the forum that you should simply remove the vTPM. But this is not possible for this customer. Does anyone have this case?Surely it must be possible to back up the VMs anyway?

I noticed that the latest price list no longer includes Threat Scan for VMs and Risk Analysis for VMs in the SKU list. This effectively means both services can now only be purchased or consumed based on the amount of processed FET.We recently added Threat Scan to our internal catalogue as part of our upgrade to FR40, and this sudden change is quite disruptive. Unexpected adjustments like this significantly impact MSPs and resellers, making it harder to position these services to customers because the cost becomes highly unpredictable.I’m curious to understand the reasoning behind this change, as in my opinion, it does not seem to support upsell, sales growth, or revenue generation.

Via MS TEAMS >Workflows>Manage I’ve created a workflow called Send Webhook Alerts to a Channel and copied the URL created. I’ve then go to Commvault Command Center>Manage>systems and created a Webhook and provided a name and used the copied URL. I’ve then sent a test alert from Commvault to the webhook however the status of the Webhook in Commvault remains in red with error he status 401 Unauthorized with the message{"error":{"code":"AuthorizationFailed","message":"The authentication credentials are not valid."}}I’m not providing any credentials. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

  Dears,I am trying to add a standalone Hyper-V host (not joined to a domain) into Commvault, but I am facing issues with the credentials during the hypervisor configuration.The Hyper-V host is not part of the domain, so I entered the hostname, local administrator username, and password.I also added the Hyper-V host and Commvault server entries to the hosts file on all related servers.However, the system fails during the connection and validation process.Below is the exact error message:Failed to connect to virtual machine host [CommvaultSVR.xxxxxxxxxxx.com] as user [.\Administrator] from access node [commvaultsvr]. Please ensure that the access node is able to communicate with the host and that the user account and password are correct.I would appreciate your assistance in identifying why the access node cannot authenticate to the standalone Hyper-V host and how to resolve this credential/communication issue.Thank you.

I ask because how is this achieved if a different user and group own the each DB2 instances? We have been experiencing checkpoint backup failures for VMs on Hyper-V Failover cluster. The CSVFS volume is having 30% free space. How much is the free space needed for the VSA backups to complete for Microsoft Hyper-V Virtual machines. In VMware it is recommended to keep 10% free space on the datastore.

hello,i m planning a CommServe + Media Agent  all in one migration with hardware refresh, OS change (Windows → Linux), and version upgrade (11.28 → 11.40 LTS)I m want to migrate on linux because the windows version is depreciate.Can you advise me on the steps to take during the migration ?I would like to use the bare-metal version of Commvault 11.40 LTS, or would you advise me to reinstall using Rocky Linux and then install CommServe + Media Agent ?Thank you for your help

Dears,,I created a new linux virtual machine and installed the Commvault Virtual Server package on it in order to use it as a VSA Access Node for our vCenter environment. However, the server does not appear as an available Access Node, and I am unable to use it for VMware backups.

Hi, I raised https://github.com/Commvault/cvpysdk/issues/191 for the immediate need we have, but in general I would like to raise more awareness to ensure Commvault SDK’s do not keep on using deprecated API calls going forward. Could someone please own the SDK updates in case a specific API call is deprecated to ensure the correct API endpoints are being used? Thanks!
