Hi guys;i need some help about this, I perform a feature release update today, but after that my main production cluster server stop working telling me that one of the server in the cluster is in another version of the software, which its true.But my questions is If I perform a DR restore to the moment before the update start will my commserve perform a downgrade to the version it was before the update.

We are thinking about to have the importands VMs from the company vbackup to NetApp volume which has SnapLock enabled, reason to be save for a ransomware attack. my question now is it possible to start a live recovery of the VMs  as the snaplock storage is readonly? we running v11sp24.34, vm backup wth v1 indexregrads Jürgen

I have a question about “quick look”.Two different users perform the same operation and click the "Quick Look" button in Outlook without the add-in and the effect is that one user generates such a link and it works (the message from the archive is fine).and another user generates such a link (which does not work)I don't quite understand why these two users have different link syntax. Oracle OCI required Ports when CommCell is on premise

HelloI need to upgrade our 11.22.62 commvault version to the 11.24 feature release. I can just do this via the commcell gui correct?   Kind of like the way I install the maintenance releases etc except this will be a feature release.?   I plan on doing commserve/media server first then the clients.. or are you suppose to perform the feature release upgrade a different way? Please advise.. thanks in advance!BC

hi,i created VM and after that i installed Commvault agent.The backup succeeded a number of times and then it failed with the above error, can anyone tell me what the problem is?on this VM we are not working with Key Vault

Hey,I need to re install software(in this case mysql agent) on one of my client computers.Repair isn’t helping in this case so I wanted to completely remove and reinstall the mysql agent. What happens to all of my previous backups when I uninstall the software?Will it be kept and be able to restore after I reinstall the software?Thanks

I installed the Linux Package. (file system, MediaAgent) Media Agent is online immediately after installation. But after about 5 minutes, it becomes offline. (Not working on anything)Do you have any advice?  

Hi,We have a NAS Share Backup (NetApp) configured to use IntelliSnap to create the initial snapshot and afterwards, run a backup copy to copy the data to disk.We were assuming that Commvault would backup the data from the .snapshot folder on the original volume. As the customer is using a virus scanner (vscan) on their NetApp shares, we created shares on the original volumes specifically for Commvault/backup where we would disable vscan.However, we found out Commvault isn’t backing up from the snapshot folder under the original volume, but instead is creating a volume clone from the snapshot. On this clone, Commvault also creates a share. And you guessed it, vscan is by default enabled.This causes all kind of problems. Slow throughput because all files need to be scanned, occassional hickups from the virus scanner where it’s quarantining files, …Is there a way for Commvault to use the snapshot folder under the original folder, instead of creating a clone? Hi, we got a question from a customer, if it is possible to use the Oracle Managed Files (OMF) for a restore of a Portable Database (PDB).The customer would like to let the OMF handle the file location, just point to the OMF and start the restore. Is there some switches or additional setting the customer can use?If they input the file location by hand, OMF wont recognise the instance.

Hello,We are currentlly on version 11.22.57 and palnning to upgrade to 11.24.34. Download and Sync of software cache ususally takes time ( around an hour ),  so would like to save time and download it in advance. plan is to upgrade the CS (using a local package) and than push the upgrade to all MA’s from GUI.Is there any risk in download & Sync the software cache ( On CS and Remote cache on Hyperscale nodes ) with a higher version than what is currentlly installed ? Will it create some conflict with what is curentlly in the software cache ? Thanks

(using the procedure, the DM2 & cvcloud dbs).It took the reports, etc, so all looks ok.But we noticed that on the new admincenter, we lost our tenant customisation. So we are missing for examples the logos for each tenant. How can we also migrate that?

i trying to backup oracle client and working fine once after that got error as in attached log to be noted :- all network connections between CS,MA,client are fine - service account and permissions are set as required - i changed cvd port because there are services working on same port but still having error

Hi,  I have a question during teams backup. I would like to backup Teamsa's resource, but in the most optimal way, i.e. so that the CV detects new groups or containers indicated by us.We don't want to backup all users.How best to do it.Please help.

Commvault media server keep DDB and Index. If the media server crash, will lost all restore capability.1, how to protect DDB and Index on media server? what is DR process for media server? 2, shall we replicate Commvault media server DDB and Index from source to target regularly? want to bring up target media server immediately if source server down.
