we are not able to visble any of commvault sharepoint archive solution,we can recall that some time back we had the feature but now seem depreciated any one has thoughts on this 

When specifying MigrationAssistant in the laptop content, what is backed up?

i only have about 50 physical servers - all have CV agents - whereas i have about 500 virtual machines that get backed up via a vcenter vm backup.  Question about the honeypot detection … do the 500 virtual machines get detected for ransomware in any sort of fashion or what is the guidance there?  Thanks!

When encryption is enabled on storage-policy or client or sub-client :Does the data is encrypted on source clients and then encrypted data is transferred on network and stored as it is in backup library OR the unencrypted data is transferred over network and encryption happens at media agent side before storing the data in library .  

Hi guysI would like to know if there is a way to make a report of all installed clients and their groups in commvault, if there is any way to extract this general report of clients and groups

Our version is 11.25.11.We recently had an employee move on and wanted to modify the Email ID in the User Properties dialog box for a service account and received an error stating:Another user with email [email address goes here] already exists.Is this a bug? We do have a couple of separate user accounts configured with the same email id so not sure why we are unable to modify?

Hi, I will be very appreciate for help. The problem is with the PST file when using Windows File system agent.After executing a full backup job, the PST file is not backed up in successive increments, despite the daily modification of the file. The client tried to turn off the application in front of the backup window, restarted the computer and the agent was updated as well.From the subclinet side, the settings are as follows, although the PST file is not backed up every day during incremental jobs.Greetings, 

I have one MA that seems to spend all day every day pruning.the opposite MA seems to finish after a few hours every day.all things being equal apart from maybe backup load what settings can be applied to increase pruning?

Index Cache (V2).Yesterday I moved an IndexCache to another drive due to space issues. The index was at the time 293GB in size on a 300GB drive. I moved it with the Workflow “ChangeIndexCacheConfig” to a new destination with 1TB of free space.Today when I check the index today it is 440GB in size, so it growed almost 50% over night.Why would it grow this much? Just normal incremental backups was run over night? No additional clients added or any changes made to clients being backed up by the MA.Index cache settings as displayed below.  BR Henke

How many APP ID’s? How many service accounts? Hi team, we are in  a process of adding one more node and new node is imaged with 2.2 version where as existing three nodes are in HSX 2.1 version.which option would be perfect,1.do we need to downgrade new node to hsx 2.1 or2. upgrade existing nodes from 2.1 to 2.2.  if yes, is it ok to just hedvig os upgrade to latest version using below cmd or is there any other procedure to follow. a. cvupgradeos.py -upgrade_hedvig_onlyb. cvupgradeos.py

Hi Community ,I want to configure my Commserver Reports to be generated over HTTPS instead of using HTTP.In Commserver IIS manager , the default configuration is http.Can any one guide how can we correctly configure reporting over HTTPS using self signed SSL certificate or CA approved SSL certificate ?

I have been reading through the documentation and it states that a QR code can be used to setup the authenticator app however upon initial login it sends an email with the secret key instead. We’re currently on 11.24 and I saw another post that mentioned that this is available in 11.25?  Can anyone confirm that they receive a QR code on the first login after MFA is enabled? We use separate admin accounts and want to avoid giving a mailbox to these accounts… would be nice to know if the authenticator app could be configured without having an email associated.

Hi!In my lab I’m trying to add a Yubikey compatible key as 2FA for a user. For this reason I’ve created a dedicated group, put a user in it and in Manage → Commcell, enabled 2FA for created group. Now I am trying to add a key for a user but this won’t work. I go to a user details, click add security key,answer Yes when prompted and it fails there. This happens even before I’m asked to put anything into my USB port.Is there anything I’m missing here?I’ve tested this on 11.25.14 and 11.26.3 and results are the same.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Regards,Robert 

Hello all I am asking about oracle rac backup , if we be able to distribute rman channels on the 2 oracle nodes in the same time or not ? as while changing no,of channels to be 4 on the 2 the 2 nodes with data backup thresholds 8 , the backup has been failed so please support. 

We are in the process of retiring our old Media Agents and as part of this process we have created all new storage and global deduplication policies to replace our old ones. During the process we noticed that we now have the ability to configure the snapshot copies to utilize storage pools instead of tying them down to a specific library. Question I have is whether there are any downsides to using using a storage pool verses a library. As we have our media agents configured in pairs of two, it would seem that a storage pool would provide more resiliency in the way that if the primary library is down the secondary library in the group can process the backup. 

Hey everyone.our Commvault FR24 customer has purchased a number of cloud licenses based on the “active users” in their tenant admin. Our understanding is that “active users” is what is counted. Period.However, we see that way more licenses are being consumed (about 30%). Only SPO and O4B are in use and backed up, EO is not used.In the CV web based license report there are licensed users listed for OneDrive, that have a backup size of 0 Bytes. These unique users are not “active” users in M365. They do not consume O4B storage, in fact O4B is disallowed in M365 for these users. When the backup is browsed we see one top folder (My Drive) with no content.There is only M365, no other SaaS like SFDC. My understanding is that a for all M365 workloads one unique user consumes one license.Is there a reliable and understandable way to find out beforehand, how many user based licenses need to be purchesed? Hi, I have 2 questions related to the same issue.We have an hyperscale with 3 nodes. When we look at the mountpath we have 3 shares of which 2 are online and the 3th offline. If you validate this share it comes with the following message:Failed to check cloud server status, error = [[Cloud] The request time is too skewed. Message: The difference between the request time and the server's time is too large. Resource: /*******?delimiter=%2F&prefix=*******%2F Extra Details: RequestId 1643106149072049 ]When I gave the command timedatectl we found out that the node was a litte bit over15minutes behind and the other 13min behind. I think 15min is reason to take the share offline for that node.My questions are:Can/may I set the time with the command “date --set”<correct time>” Does this come with a risk? Do I need to stop the CV services first for example? Are Hyperscale nodes not default configured with a NTP server, same as Commserve for example? All my Linux knowledge is from Goog

Hello Commvault Community! I would like to ask you about the topic of Multi-factor authentication Commvault. First Question: Is it possible in MFA to block the sending of e-mails with one-time codes, apart from sending the first e-mail with the code to the authentication application? I guess the solution to the problem should be to disable MFA for specific users, but then that user won't be protected anymore, right? Hello Guys, I need yor help.The Customer has sealed a DDB.However, they ignored the following warning:There was not enough free space on DL.As a result Disk Library is out space of now and the Customer has disabled schedules to not run any backup.As a troubleshooting step we tried to delete some jobs assigned to sealed DDB.AS you can see, there are over 20,000 jobs assigned to this DDB.We deleted over 12,000 jobs.Hovewer, Commvault is still showing the same number of jobs and no data has been pruned from DL.Is any way to force Commvault to free some disk space removing data assigned to sealed DDB?Rgds,Kamil
