 why data transferred ‘0’?

We try backup PostgreSQL files but while we backup job started after a scan phase some temp files were being deleted by the PostgreSQL system. Then CV couldn't find scanned files, after that we took error.We try to additional settings(link down below) for sPGDirIgnoreList but didn’t fix the issuehttps://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/21723_backup_troubleshooting.html Can you  help me to this issue ??  

Hi Guys, Our on-premises Commvault infrastructure is with 2x Media Agents, 1x Tape Library, and few proxies. The backups - Primary on disks and the Secondary on Tapes. We are planning to migrate the Secondary copies over to Azure Storage and here’s our plan,Placing Media Agent in Azure  Placing DDB in Azure (on Media Agent) Switching Auxiliary Job Migrating old data from tapes to AzurePlease provide some guidance and best practise on this.Thanks in advance.

hi alllately i received a lot of mails alert about File Activity Anomaly…i got from one specific server alerts about 4-5 files that found a suspicious file after checking the files, i deleted what i don't know, but there is few files that i know and they needed. i cant delete them. how can i “white-list” them? I still need them on the server, and just need to stop the alert on this specific file. is it possible? if so, how?thanks all:)

as a part of GCP cost saving, can we use small size CommCell server (standby) for HA DR (live sync) feature and change accordingly whenever required before making failover from active to passive server to make it active.

We discovered (the hard way, after doing a restore) that backups taken of vCenters in ELM contain inconsistent data and will likely break ELM replication if they are used to conduct a restore. We worked with VMware technical support to fix our vCenters’ ELM. It was a painful process.See https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/85662?lang=en_us which suggests some limitations of backups of vCenters in ELM. Not an exhausive list.I am wondering if anyone has encountered these limitations and perhaps there is a workflow we could use to conduct an offline backup? This would have to be during a scheduled outage, but it would be helpful to have some baseline clean backups in Commvault as a safety measure. I have opened a Commvault technical support case. I think we need Commvault to request support from VMware to develop an API or fix their broken ELM backup. The other community thread on this topic has an “answer” which is wrong. I can’t update that thread

Hi Team ,I am trying to explore and backup Kubernetes - I wanted to backup the cluster which sits on Azure. Using the second Way - Azure AKS -Direct backup to cloud storage.I have a few questions -What are VS Credentials? Where is this access node sitting?How do we resolve this issue?Following is the SC attached : 

CS Ver FR 24I have on on prem S3  solution. I have presented this to Commvault as a Library, with multiple buckets as mount points. Within Commvault I have limited the size of these buckets  to 100TB (performance tuning for library, decided not to limit buckets on storage side). You can see, size on disk of data in the bucket   Commvault therefore has enough information to calculate  Capacity, Free Space, and Usable Free space when I view my library and mountpath stats, but I see nothing.    Any suggestions?

This is probably a really basic question but I just need validation that this is working the way I suspect it is.I have some huge Exchange mailboxes, some of them containing over 3 million messages.  I also set limits on how long my mailbox archive jobs can run so they are not active during the day and adding load onto our Exchange system.My question is, if a mailbox archive job is stopped before finishing does the next job treat the messages that were done as completed?  For example, a mailbox has 100,000 items in it and the archive Monday night completes 50,000 of them before being stopped.  Does the next job try to archive all 100,000 messages again or just the 50,000 that were not finished?

Hello CC I have an issue with a single node SQL server backup.  Im getting the following error Error Code: [30:403]Description: Failed to register job with Job Manager. Please check the job results directory as it is not accessible.Source: lom1door01, Process: SQLiDA I have checked the jobs location and the permissions and I opened it full access to All Users including our Commvault admin Galaxy account and still i get this error.  Anyone any ideas as to whats going on as Im stuck.  No results when I click on the error code.  Any help would be highly appreciated.

Due to Licence constraint we want to identify the nodes which are using commvault licence but currently not backing up in commvault. Our plan is to remove the licence.Kindly suggest how to generate the above report. Thanks in advance

Hi I need your help, in the initial implementation, the customer added a machine running debian 11.00 as MediaAgent, and it is not supported as it only allows to configure HPE-catalyst storage and not the libraries. Therefore the client uninstalled this debian OS from the mediaagent, and now I see that I can not remove the HPE-Catalyst.At the moment I added the mediaAgent with Ubuntu OS and it manages to see both the disk storage and the libraries.The error is about WORM media data.

Hi Team,  We are receiving the error: "All streams and multiplexing factors  of storage policy copy x are in use" Then all jobs go into waiting state. I have tried increasing the streams on the affected policy copies but its not working. Any ideas?

Hello. Volumes were combined on the storage, the size of the two volumes became more than 50 tb. And now, out of 8 volumes, 2 volumes are not running full backups and even increments are not starting. Job starts, but progress stands still.

Hi Commvaulters, Had a question regarding data aging/pruning on isolated MAs.So, we have an isolated MAs (Air gapped = They are powered on only during Aux Copies, then, when the last aux copy finishes, the MAs are shutdown), the data is Deduped. All jobs concerning the MAs are rescheduled to be aligned with the Air Gap window (Aux Copy, DDB Backup, Data Aging...etc). My concern now, is that the Air Gap window may not be sufficient to process the data pruning on the storage, since the MAs are directly shutdown after the Aux Copies. Can the Air Gap window be an issue for the data aging/pruning process ? If someone gives us some guidance regarding this, that would be great. Regards.

Hi, We are performing several Sybase & SAP Hana restores.One thing I noticed: the progress is in commvault is “completely wrong” slash misleading.It remains at 5%, while in the hana log & sybase log in commvault you can see that it’s for example 30% loaded.Because the progress remains at 5%, people think that the restore is stuck (can stay at 5% for hours if you have bigger databases), and sometimes people kill the restore because of that.Why can’t commvault show the real status of the restore? For sybase for example the clsybagent.log from commvault shows the exact status, so commvault knows that status...so why not showing it in the gui/command center? Even if it’s not exact figure, having that as job status would remove some frustrations for users.  Only a question, not a request to change something :)
