Hi , currently i am involved in O365 POC for commvault complete software. I realize that even though our documentation mentions that is a search function for what kind of files within a 1 drive user to be restore but i cannot find the search bar within 1 drive restore function . However the same search bars exists for exchange online and sharepoint. i have following scenario.There was a user XYZ whose regular backup was taken and now he left companywe delete his account from AD.So, as per infinite retention Policy , his data should remain in metallic forever? am i right?Now, if AD admin recreates his account with same name then will his existing backups be overwritten?Is there any way to get that data back?

Hi,I have one alert for full and transaction logs backup.I want to separate this alert for full backups and transaction logs ? I want to create 2 alert for full and transaction log backup.I use the same instance to backup logs transaction and full. Now I use alert called 'Client not backed up for X minutes' (https://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/store.do#!/137/683/8936), and I don't have parameter to choose ‘Full’ and ‘logs transaction’ backup.How can i do it ? brAleAle

Recently upgraded the iDA on an HP-UX 11.23 server (from 10.something to 11.24.52).  Server is running Informix 11.50Ever since updating the agent all my backups (filesystem & Informix) are failing.  I see the following errors on both job types: Other end <media agent> encountered failure in receiving data [The SDT data transfer was terminated on a request from the Job Manager.]andDB Token [3184921:3:4] doesn't match with the token [3184921:3:3:0:52679] provided by client. Error :[The job token is for an older attempt than that of the job. I see the jobs starting to write data at the beginning, but then they just…. die.  Doesn’t matter which media agent I use (we have 4 to pick from).  We do have an active case open with support, but it’s moving….slowly...and not really progressing. we’ve configured a 1-way firewall (didn’t help) and tried not using a firewall at all (also didn’t help).  The client and the media agents/commserve have DIPs on the same vlan.  any ideas?

Do we have any global setting or additional setting where we can disable the RMAN cross check globally for all Oracle instances. One of the infra I am working has bunch of Oracle instances and I am looking for an easy option instead of going to each instance and disabling it..

Hi,I am currently testing with Airgap technology to make aux/offline copies to an isolated environment with WORM enabled. To explain the situation bit more this is how it works -- see picture below.FYI; to Power On/Off the MA’s I use the Workflow: Airgap which commvault provided.To make it more intelligent I created an PoSH which checks all the jobs that is being initiated by the AirGap Schedule Policy and if all the jobs contains: ‘completed’, ‘completed with errors’ or ‘failed’, the machines are going down using the Workflow.Now I know there are some Administrative Jobs that has to run as well like;Data AgingDDB BackupsData verificationReclamation etc...Ofcourse I can make this part of the PoSH script before Power Off the MA’s but is it smart to do? Is there anyone who has experience with the administrative processes and this technology below?   

Hello We have a separate VM that provides the Commvault WebServer/Adminconsole.We have now noticed that not all information is available in the web console. An example is the information in the report "DDB Dashboard", here no data is displayed.The only thing that has been changed is the Windows firewall. I have enabled port 443 and 80,81 so far. According to my information these ports should be sufficient. Which ports do I have to release on the CommServe and the WebServer to get all data displayed again?Kind RegardsThomas

This is a new installation. We are installing new commserve server on Linux platform. also planning to install Webserver, CommCell console and command center on dedicated windows server. But while installing CS on Linux, WebServer will be installed as default on Linux CS machine. So, need to move the WebServer role to windows server. what are the steps needs to be taken care to make WebServer installed on Windows machine act as default one.

Hello guys,The Customer purchased:40 x 10 Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery for Virtual Environments 8 x 10 Commvault Backup & Recovery For Virtual Machines, Per VM (10-Pack)They’ve already used:Virtual Operating Instances: Total: 480; Used: 46Protected Virtual Machines: Total: 480; Used: 371As I know, Commvault now allows to install iData agents on virtual machines without backinkg them up by VSA.Does this mean that if Customer is licensed for 480 virtual machines, they can protect 480 virtual machines by VSA and additionally install iData agent on another 480 virtual machines? Rgds,Kamil  

Hello again ;)I have implemented vaultracker to execute a copy to tape for each of our storage policy.The copy occur the last day of the months at 8:00 AM and copy the last full of the month to tape.It works but I don’t have any report or email that say, “tape 1 2 and 3 can be exported you can remove them” from the library.Is there any option to have this ? Thanks ! 

I would assume that it is a just a list of commvault.msgs.CvEntities.ClientGroupEntityThis object appears to just consist of a clientGroupName string and a clientGroupId integer. 

Hello Team,few months ago, we were on version 11.24.28 and we had a bug (restore from storeOnce failed)Commvault provided a patch that fix the issue, but before the requirement was to update to 11.24.38Today I updated from 11.24.38 to 11.24.60, the bugs appears again, it seems that the patch was not included on the MR.Talked with the engineer, asked me to try to execute the patch on 11.24.60 but now services won’t run. What is the procedure to revert back to version 11.24.38 + re apply the patch ? remove all packages from the MA and reinstall again FS FS core, VSA and MA package 11.24.38 + patch ? the patch used is v11SP24_Available_Diag4474_linux-x8664.tar Thanks !

We want to keep only Vmware Snapshot backup and sql agent inside the VM.Do you have any clue on where to find the rights commandsWe use ansible, and actually it works only for linuw machines. Thanks !

My organization is considering enabling the Delete and Restore Authorization features in Security IQ. This will constitute a big change in our restore process because of how rapid our customers tend to want their restores completed, and requiring secondary authorization will slow down our process quite a bit, especially in the case that those authorized are either on PTO or otherwise unable to approve restores. I was wondering what methods the community uses to prevent slower service when it comes to restores that require secondary authorization? I’d like to hear how other organizations might prevent slow/loss of service when needing multiple users to be online in order to perform restore requests so maybe we can improve our process.

What can replace the "Get-CVVirtualMachine" PowerShell command in the Commvault REST API?I use the "Get-CVVirtualMachine -Protected" command to get a list of virtual machines that are being backed up so that I can start a restore.Looked at the API page on my Commvault server (https://CommvaultSRV/webconsole/sandbox/apiexplorer/#/Virtualization%20Operations) and I couldn't identify any GET command that would give me the same result as the PowerShell command. Does anyone have any idea how to get a list of all protected VMs from Commvault REST API?
