Hey all -I was under the impression that if we install a SQL agent on a VM, it does NOT use capacity. This capacity licensing is ear marked for a main frame backup. Thoughts? Do we need to open a ticket? Thanks!
I hope this is simple to answer for someone. I looked in the Azure portal but was unable to find what I was looking for. We’re new to using Azure archive for our secondary copies, and the billing seems higher than expected. Actual billing is showing about five times higher than estimates. We’re wondering if some data is in hot or cool rather than archive. Is there an easy way to identify what is in hot, cool, and archive by a chart or something in the portal?
Hello,I want to centralize the view of all my commserve located at different site.Each commserve is independant with their own libraries, media agent, clients.My infrastrucutre is composed of1 commserve on premise hosted on Head quarter1 commserve DR on AWS 5 sites with their own commvault environnement is it possible and how to achieve that ? does it need additional servers ? The most important thing is to view all the reports at te same console I have seen a post were this option is mentionned :https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/essential/133198_viewing_service_commcell_information_at_global_level.html also I have seen :GRC and Universal Command Center Thank you very much !
How can I force a client to use microsoft vss during backup? the backup is trying to use a different one
I have a customer that has asked about the protection of Azure Queue and Table storage, I can’t see anything on documentation about it so I assume it’s not supported as yet. Is there anything I’ve missed? They’ve also asked about classic storage accounts but I’m pretty sure they’re no longer supported.Any guidance on these would be great.

We make daily incremental backups and weekly full backups with the retention period of 4 weeks. We wanted to do a yearly backup with a retention period of 3 years and should not impact the retention of daily incremental / weekly full backups.
