Hello, I am still trying to configure vaul tracker policy but I did not succeed. The goal is to export tapes automatically and receive a report with vault tracker reporting. I followed this steps, are these the correct steps ? create the locations create the copy to tape policy create the schedule to run the copy to tape (last day of the month) (I’ll do it later) create a vault tracker policy create schedule to run the vault tracker policy to export tapes.  (I’ll do it later) Here is the detailed steps  : created two locations : transit and Stationary I Created a new copy to tape policy (the copy will be scheduled at the end of the month)  The copy to tape copies the last full of the previous months to tape (The customer want to export the tape whathever is 100 % full or not) with retention 390 days. After the copy, the operator move this copy to safe deposit box. create a new vault tracker policy I selected the copy to tape I have created before  I specified the library  I am not sure

Hi All, We have configured extended retention for the Aux copy at policy level for the oracle CLI backup.But it looks like the Aux copy is only retaining based on the basic retention. How do we setup extended retention for the Aux copy for the CLI backups? Thanks.

Hello friends,I need help for some time now my commvault had an error in the nCVDPORT record it automatically changed the port 8400 to 100, with that it was generating some failures, to carry out a troubleshooting we changed the permissions of this record of the session folder so that no one could change and we restarted the commvault services, from then on the services did not go up again even returning all the permissions in the attachment follows the error log, it was tried in several ways to return the commvault services until trying to run a DR on another server, but also verified that the DR it was not 100% functional not finishing the installation. Hello,I have this use case I would like to discuss:Our customer has Oracle databases on AIX (all combinations - RAC/no RAC, ASM/Filesystem).They would like to implement forever incremental backups (especially for the larger databases - about 100TB).We have implemented this before (another customer) but only with Oracle RAC ASM on Linux…Since there are more combinations here and a different OS, I would like to confirm the following:Will it be supported? Hi All, today i saw in one enviroment with the following setup: Each Oracle Server has 3 Subclients: Archivelog, Default, Selective and the jobs goes to  1 Disk Library2 Sync Tape3 Selective Tape We had oracle Subclients which takes Daily Full and hourly archive log backup and monthly selective.  I Checked the jobs in the Selective Tape Copy and i find for each month double Jobs. The normal daily full was written to the selective copy and also the selective copy was written. Is this normal ? Becasue than we did not need the selöective subclient any more.  My standig was that only selctive db backups can copy to the selective copy.

So it is possible to copy hana full backups to an selective tape copy and are there any things wich must be set ? Or is it not allowd ?

We have a storage policy with aux copies that was sending disk backups to a tape library. The library in question that contained all these tapes has been decommissioned. A new library was stood up and all tapes were put into this new tape library. However the aux copy that represents this data belonged to a different media server and physical library. We are trying to figure out how to take the data sent to the AUX copy in the old storage policy and move it to a new Cloudian array that has been configured as a Cloud library.

Do aux copies start after the backup copy time retention time was reached. Or do Aux copies start at the same start as the backup copy but just to a different location? I am aware Selective only does Full  and Synchronize does Incremental and Full

Hi Allwe run POC for Mail Archive using Commvault all on one OVF SP 11.26.8.1- we finished all prerequisites.2-  add Mailbox client and can discover User Mailbox.but when we try to configure Recall Services on the client as per the below linkshttps://documentation.commvault.com/11.26/expert/29231_configuring_recall_services.htmland try to test it received error: recall service returned with response code : 500 as per the attached image. 

Hi All, Can someone help out with this question of mine:Can I have a new host installed with private metrics/webserver package to also be a licensing server to my commservers? Do my new host mandatory needs to have commcell package also? Previously I definitely knew that comcell package was not required… Did something change along the way? I previously had to create new host (VM), install metrics/webserver package mssql,iis, restore CVCloud db and that was it (even licensing which was configured also transferred with the restore of CVCloud db on the new host), in every commcell change the upload url path to this new host and that’s it - it was worldwide metrics host for my commcells.  I got a ticket 220726-122 raised but it confused me even more...

I need to check SNMP port for alerting and ticketing purpose. But I can not see on commcell or command center. 

We have a HyperScale 1.5 Storage Pool with 3 nodes Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 Server. We plan to upgrade Operating System from RedHat 7.7 to RedHat 7.9 (using Commvault workaround well documented). Since the firmware is not updated since they were first installed, we would like to update it, but it's not clear from the documentation if we can update all HW components or we have to check a compatibility matrix first. Hi, It’s my first time  with installing commvault on linux. I managed to install system core and media agent but file system icon is grayed and can’t reconfigure file system. Hi All ,Wanted to check if there is a way to scan PSTs in Activate ?Customer has data in PST format (size around 144 GB ) that needs to be scanned . Is it possible if this data is moved on to a file server can it be scanned/analyzed from live source using Activate FSO ? 

Good day all I have an issue with a Hyper-V cluster.I have 6 nodes that are all VSA’s.Three of the nodes were upgraded to Windows Server 2016. The remaining three are on Windows 2012 and are pending an upgrade.Since the upgrade it seems that the hosts in the cluster do no communicate with each other during a VM backup.If I use the upgraded nodes as the only VSA’s then I have on issue.Is this issue due to different OS versions? I’ve checked the account permissions on the cluster and the nodes and they’re all correct. The error is see is the normal authentication one usually associated to a permission issue.Error Code: [91:50] Description: Unable to connect to virtual machine host [CORE01] as user [xxx]. Please ensure that the access node is able to communicate with the host and that the user account and password are correct. Hi, I wondering if anyone has a multi-customer environment setup where some Commvault admins don’t have access to certain customers. That could be something like restoring data from a specific customer.As much as possible the admins need to be full blown admins in regards to handling infrastructure specific tasks like restarting services on a media agent.Is there perhaps some good approach to this way of working without it being too complicated and difficult to maintain?I’m hoping that Commvault permissions and restrictions options work in a similar way like Microsoft access control list on e.g folders. Meaning that even if a person has read/write access to a folder based on AD group membership then this can be overridden by adding the person explicitly to the folder and deny the read/write option.Also I would like to know how people differentiate or group the customers in regards to separating admins. We have customer groups which is used for e.g. network settings but I’m not sure if
