Hello everyone! I would like to confirm if MySQL and MSSQL database cannot be restored per table like Oracle databases?If not possible can you share with me the alternatives if client wants to restore per table in MySQL and MSSQL. Thank you!

I need to create more aux copy on the same tape storage pool. When I create the first aux copy I no longer have visibility of the same tape storage pool. Previously I also had the option to add the tape library directly, now there is only the choice of the storage pool.Until the SP24 version I still had the ability to create multiple aux copies.Thanks

Hello Commvault Community! I know there is an option to upgrade the hotfix version locally for the Instance Failover using CMD which doesn’t raise Commvault services. In addition to the command itself, please let me know if there is anything else we need to consider when upgrading the hotfixes for the Failover Instance. I will just add that on the Failover server one of the instances already has the correct version, but the one responsible for Failover, unfortunately, doesn’twant to get up and I have to do it via CMD. Thanks&Regards,Kamil

This is causing an issue with both the backup and software updates as the communication has been lost between Commserve and client. 

Hello,I’ve set up a new media agent, v 11 SP24.34 and installed the CV MA software. I’ve created my Maglib also. I’ve created a storage policy and my primary copy. What i want to do now is to create a secondary copy. I’ve done that but when i click ok i get an error : “Internal Error. Incorrect parameter passed to the SIDB engine”. When i click ok to that error, i get another error : “Invalid library []”. My secondary copy does not get created. Has anyone experienced this before?RegardsFergus

HiWe are going to purchase endpoint backup solution from metallic, we want to know how to configured backup policies and define backup storage, this is installation and configuration from scratch. Is there any document to configure Metallica tenant, endpoint backup policies etc.Thanks

Good day all I hope everyone is doing well.This one is a bit of a strange one.Customer has two VM’s (in Azure) that are clustered with IP’s assigned as expected.Servers were accidentally destroyed and rebuilt at an OS level only. No data drives were added. The request was to just to an ‘In Place’ restore and overwrite the two rebuilt VM’s.Once the restore process was complete it was noticed that the IP addresses of the two nodes swapped around.I am not convinced this is something that happened in the restore process as the job logs of both servers show the correct IP’s during the restore process.I’m not an expert in Azure support, so it is possible something in that stack could have caused this, or would the ‘In Place’ option have something to do with it?I do need to mention that the IP’s are assigned statically by Azure.I hope that makes sense.Thanks all.Mauro

Hello!I would like to ask about the best processor options for a MediaAgent.Right now we have followed the MediaAgent hardware requirements from the documentation. So I have a XL MediaAgent with 16 CPU cores.Backups run just fine except for this big database (more than 100TB) that runs a synthetic full every two days. It takes about 9 hours to finish. Although the customer is happy since the old backup solution would take days for the same result, I would like to know if that time could be improved.Performance monitoring tells me that the bottleneck is the MediaAgent’s CPU. All 16 cores run at 100% while the synthetic full backup is running. So… I would like to know the following (for this current setup and also for the new MediaAgents that will be added to this CommCell):Will adding more cores help? For example, adding a second processor with 16 cores to the current MediaAgent (although it would double the recommended hardware requirements fr

Hello, We need to use the chargeback details report, but we also need to create alerts that report.Within the chargeback details report, we can configure alerts per server (within the chargeback details window). But how can we create alerts onthe “chargeback summary”? (for example on total media size). note: no, we cannot use the standard chargeback report for that, as that on a private metric server, and not accessible by endusers.  

Hello Commvault Community, I am looking for a report that will help me extract information in an easy and comfortable way (for example during the audit), where I can see what, when and where was restored database, similar to those virtual machines (VM Restore Details Report). If it matters, I mainly care about reports that include SQL Server databases. VM Restore Detailshttps://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/#!/135/661/16848 Is such a report available somewhere? We have SAP HANA running on SLES VM on ESXi and we are getting Commvault Backup & Recovery For Virtual Machines but now realize that SAP HANA is an in-memory Database. Will commvault force memory to commit to storage when starting a backup? What other commvault options have we got?
