Hey guys,The client is asking me for the last clients inserted in the last 90 days in the backup policy, do we have any reports with this configuration in the commvault?Note: He informed if possible to have the creation data and data from the last backup in the report

How to force update on the Disable Subclients report

Hello everyone,Last week I looked at the WebConsole Cleanup Report and noticed the Disabled Subclients section listed 39 subclients.  I cleaned up many of them by promoting an existing subclient to be the default subclient then deleting the unused “default”.  That was three days ago but the Disabled Subclients report still shows the original 39 entries - including the ones I’ve cleaned up.Question:  Is there a way to force CommVault to refresh the data within the Disabled Subclients report?ThanksKen

Changing Retention times - Estimating capacity

I am trying to estimate the capacity I am going to need when changing the retention time on my Global Deduplication policy - Primary copy from 30 days to one year.If I look at the capacity of the storage policy now, w/ the 30-day retention period, would multiplying that by 12 give me an accurate estimate on capacity I will need to keep that primary copy for one year?  Ex - Primary copy w/30-day retention period = 300GB - changing to 365-day retention period = 3.6TB ?

Enhancing security of emergency local user

Hi, Our security department requesting the following:Create emergency user with admin role (local) blocking any other admin from changing password/edit roles for this specific local user.The idea is to cover a scenario where an admin user has been hacked, the hacker wont be able to change anything or even see the emergency user.We did it with the user`s associated entities but it`s creating another issue - after granular deselecting the Emergency user from the User Group of our admins, any new users that been created are not shown to admins. We have to login with the emergency user and edit associate permissions to add those new users. There is no way to say “All users except specific user” The question is if there is any workflow or built-in mechanism for emergency users so no other user will be able to reset its password, except the emergency user itself.I`d appreciate your assistance

Delete a Cloud Network Storage Pool discarding all the data

According to the documentation, you can delete a network storage pool and when you delete a network storage pool, the software automatically deletes the library associated with it and the data in the library will be lost. URL: https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/9138_deleting_network_storage_pool.htmlI got a little confused. does the software automatically deletes the library associated with it and the data in the library will be lost or do I need to retire the mount path as It contains dedup data?Anyway, what happens to the data that is in the cloud? Commvault will prune the data?

Network Bandwidth Throttling (Do we need to restart Jobs in progress to have the setting changes to take effect?)

I had a remote sight with with bandwidth issues recently upgraded. Will I need to restart the jobs copying to that sight in order to take advantage of the bandwidth throttling options being set back to automatic?

Can a file server be added to Compliance Search

Hello everyone,The Privacy & Risk Management team at my company has asked if our in-house file server could be added to the Compliance Search within CommVault.  Currently, it only searches M365 emails.Can a Windows file server be added?  If so, is there documentation on how to do it?Thanks in advance.Ken

Configuring Privacy on Group or Plan level

Hi, Following documentationhttps://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/97847_privacy.htmlit’s possible to configure Privacy on Commcell or Company level, but recently customer made a case that this won’t be ideal in their environment and they would rather apply it on user group or plan level. Since documentation doesn’t mention it, I assume it’s not supported, but wanted to ask here anyway in case there is some hidden magic setting that allows it. So I guess the question is: is it possible?

Python - List file

Hello, I need your help to understand how to do a browse through files with python. The ArchiveSet=MyArchiveSet1A have 14day retention period.We want to preserve diferent versions of the same file. NDMP restore with intellisnap snasphot problem

Hello we were doing an NDMP restore of some CIFS files.The snapshot we needed is present on commvault, visible on the array and also on NEtapp. We are restoring from vault. NDMP credentials are configured both on priamry and secondary site. restore fails with a nonsense error: “Operation failed for path [/de04xxx022fsa01/v_c_msql_BD_PROD_VV_1/.snapshot/SP_2_3566761_348xxx_1694037804]Please check if volume [/de04xxx022fsa01/v_c_msql_BD_PROD_VV_1] and snapshot [SP_2_3566761_348877_xxxxx37804] exist. “I can browse easily from snapshot when using recovery in commvault. Files are visible. Snapshot is healthy. Different media agents were tested. When restoring i have checked the box “restore from snapshot” but also tried without checking the box. The issue is the same. We are restoring to the same SVM /machine/ but also tried to restore onto our Media agent but it failed to. I am wondering where is the problem. Greetings all,It has been a few years since I deployed our Linux VSA and I do not see where to download it from. I went to https://cloud.commvault.com/ but do not see anything similar to what I downloaded years ago. Has the name changed for the appliance or has the process changed entirely?Thanks.

Oracle backups are missing in the recovery point calendar

Hi, I normally back up my oracle instances, a full weekly and incremental the other days. All backup jobs are successful, but I don't understand why I don't see any available backups in the recovery point calendar. Can you help me understand what the problem is? ThksDario

recover email backup to another computer

Hello, I have problems with recovering information from an email, which needs to be transferred to another computer but the computer that has that backup is no longer online but it still has its information, but when I want to send the recovery of the email The option to send it to another team is not displayed, but if I try it with another team it can be sent to another team. In this part I do not know if it is because the equipment is turned off. I appreciate your attention and I will read your comments
