Hello,I would like to discuss the issue with a cleaning tape.Our cleaning tape is marked as deprecated and it is not possible to use it for cleaning anymore. Is it possible to somehow reset the counter for number of uses? We tried to delete the cleaning tape and rediscovered it, but the Commvault remembers the number of uses. The cleaning tape seems to be new, on the tape library there is written, that it was used almost 60 times.Any help much appriciated!

Hi,Do we have an option to deploy HyperScale 1.5 on an environment without DNS? I have CS 11.24 on a cm and deploying 3node CV HS 1.5. I already set the Data & Storage n/w (10Gig bonded), but got stuck at below stage. It do not allow unless you don’t enter a dns? Is there a way to accomplish it? 

Hello guys.we have AIX Nodes we are taking backup from some directories, these directories contains millions of files so we are using weekly synthetic full and daily incrementali got a restore request on a day which an incremental backup was performed so i browsed the job and found no items i checked the size of the backup job and it was 613 kb. backup job status was completed and no errorsand i have checked the synthetic full job which was after this incremental and i found it contains old data no new files was found with the recent day! i know that synthetic full jobs does combine the set of inc jobs to create the full synthtic job then get the delta from the client itself can someone clarify to me if im wrong and explain this behaviour.  thanks

If we enable tiering on a cloud library that lready exists with data in it, is it only new data (writes) that get’s tiered or is the whole path re-arranged?//Henke 

Hi,I’m looking for a document explaining the meaning of Commcell client icons since I’m installing the FileSystem agent as restore-only in two clients in my infrastructure and one of them appears in the list with a penguin icon greyed out with a green arrow pointing downward in the top left corner of the icon, while the other only with the penguin icon greyed out.I was guessing what was the difference between them and if there was a list explaining the icons in commcell console.Thanks!

Hi,I notice that the auxiliary copy do copy random backup data (I’m not sure how it select the data to be copy first). So if the copy is delay, some of the data that from earliest date still haven’t copy but some of the data from latest do get copied. This basically effect the retention of my primary copy. Also effect my offsite copy for DR purposes.Is there any setting that can be use to make data from earliest is being copy first? regards,Fauzi

Is it possible to set the Client Monthly Growth Report to update the data not only monthly but daily ?Somewhere there should be a schedule, which is set to monthly transfer of the data.with kind regardsThomas

Is there any reason (technical or best practise) why the DDB policy can’t backup to tape?It’s defaulted to our disk library which is on the same MA as the DDB.Tape feels a bit safer
