Hi,Recently I twice created an Office 365 app using Command Center in 2 different CommCells (both SP22.13) and they didn't show up in the Java CommCell Console. Is this expected behavior or should they become visible in the CommCell Console? Type of 1 one of them is SharePoint Online (as opposed to SharePoint Online (Classic)).Thanks!

V11 FR22HiI have a new ESX server at a remote site which has been integrated into our vCenter, there is no backup infrastructure at this remote site.As I understand it, I am sending all the traffic from the remote site to my Media Agent (which is also the Proxy Server) at the central site, which then does the deduplication workIs there a way to get client side deduplication working at my remote site, to lessen the load over the network and speed up the backup, would a local proxy server do the trick?Hope that makes senseMany thanksMark  

hi, it seems everytime a customer of ours is trying to restore a Synced Object to his azure AD. it will not work. it seems to only happen with synced objects and as i cannot find this stated in the documentation that it is not supported, i thought i would ask here. the error we recieve when restoring the object captured in the cvaadrestore,log is: ApplicationData::AADUtil::GetEntry() - GET  [{"error":{"code":"Request_ResourceNotFound","innerError":{"client-request-id":"0483b272-9b6c-486c-b4b3-eebeebc9d3d2","date":"2021-03-16T14:34:08","request-id":"0483b272-9b6c-486c-b4b3-eebeebc9d3d2"},"message":"Resource '532aebfa-c31f-46b5-bfa6-3a9af9f3be6e' does not exist or one of its queried reference-property objects are not present."}}] failed! and then it skips the item:RestoreStats() - [Total:1  Restored:0  Skipped:1  Failed:0  Received-Bytes:11109] does anyone know the current support status on synced object restores in azure ad?the customer is on Version 20.40. kind Regards, Thos Gieskes.

Hi Team,  I want run the backup only once in a week, my CVLT version is 11.21.20 there o option to  schedule the backup on weekly basis due to no availability of “ Run incr backup before sytheticfull option” can some suggest how can schedule weekly backups without daily incremental.

We’d like to restore emails from Exchange Online archive that were deleted by the user during a specific period of time.We are able to see all the messages he deleted in the Deleted Items folder, as our retention policy is 7 years from deletion. That’s a lot of messages, but we are only interested in the ones he deleted last week. Commvault must have a time tag on message deletion, otherwise it wouldn’t be able to purge based on deletion date. However, I’m unable to find this time tag and identify which messages were deleted last week.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thank you!

Hello,we implemented endpoint backup succesfully for our Laptops.Everything works fine except of one thing:When a computer name resolves into a wrong IP address due to old or wrong DNS entries, then commvault can’t reach the computer and it can’t be backed up. So far it makes sense to me.However when we delete all DNS entries for that computer name and reset the local DNS cache from our Comserve, Commvault can reach the computer and it can be backed up.Or in other Words, when our Comserve can’t resolve a computer name into a IP adress and then the client starts automaticly the backup job, the backup can successfully be made. Apperently the client sends his IP address to the Comserve. When i then check the readiness from the client it says “ready”, even without a DNS entry or name resolution.Is there any kind of additional setting that we can set, that Commvault always ignores the (wrong) DNS entries and only takes the IP adress from the job?Regards,Kilian  

I have upgraded the commvault service pack on media agent from SP 18 to SP20. it is upgraded successfully and i can see on process manager. but it is not updated on Comcell console even i have reopen console multiple times

I've had multiple instances of duplicate client computers showing in the Comcell Console when using an In-Guest agent and then later including the VM for backup. Whilst I know (and have successfully) merged clients to remove the duplicates i would like to understand  how Commvault decides when a discovered VM is the same as a client that is already discovered/configured for backup in a different way (ie with an installed agent in the guest).Thanks in advance.

Hi,I am checking out Commvault ‘Analytics’.First remark: I don’t know *** about that.One of the reasons is also because I don’t see many posts about that, so I think it’s not used a lot. (this is the first Analytics tag :p )That said, I have a question regarding that, and I apologize for the end-user question :) (no, couldn’t find it in the docs).within Commvault Analytics webconsole, I created an object (cube?) within the File System data source, and Commvault did crawl the data.If I open it, I get also the data...great. So far so good Within that view, I get the data that I wanted.My question: how do I export this to CSV?When looking in the docs, I only see that export for the “file analytics” & “email analytics.

Please can someone point me in the right direction to the log file which contains the information on the Failed Folder on a File System backup.The backup job shows as completed successfully however the Failed Counts show as 1 Folder 0 Files. Thanks

Hi There.On an MSP Environment where tenants' servers communicate with the backup infrastructure via cascading gateway, where would you place the Exchange Index Server required for Mailbox backup knowing that:The Web Server located on MSP environment needs to communicate with the index Server directly (not sure we can via gateway proxies) Does the index server require to be on the Tenant Domain? Can it be located on MSP environment and still manage indexing of an Exchange Server located on Tenant network and/or on O365 ?Thanks Abdellatif 

I have question about how to perform clean Dedup Reconstruction. What is de first stap do you take? Do you need to mark disk libary offline for Maintance mode first?When the Dedup DB reconstruction running what kind of jobs can interupt the proces?  In my situation MA got crashed and after the crash started restore and then after restore automatic Dedup DB reconstruction. Sometimes is going wel but like today in the middle of the add record phase its failed with error: Unable to communicate with Auxiliary Copy process on MediaAgent. All commvault processes on the MediaAgent where running. After the fail i stopped all processes on The MEdiaAgent en did restart. After restart the restore started again. 

Hi community!I have faced the error like this recently:Failed to recreate OFM snap; Continuing with live data only, error=0x80070306:{COpenFileManager::CheckAndRecreateShadow(118)/W32.774.(One or more errors occurred while processing the request.)-Maximum OFM snapshot retry count reached, RetryMax=3} The job was configured to fail if the VSS fails. But the job finished successfully. Looks like smth. blocks access to the files included to the VSS snap. Did anyone see the error like this? Thanks in advance! 

Hi, We are currently implementing Commvault, transferring from TSM, and Teradata is part of this. The plan was to use the Commvault Workflow integrating with the arcmain utility.arcmain is going end of life and customer will update to the new dsa integration for exporting (backing up) data. Is there any plans from Commvault to provide an updated workflow for this any time soon./Patrik

Hi all,Is it possible if some explain the process of committing chunks to lib and signature in ddb. I read somewhere that chunk will keep on noting all data blocks even it is repeated. Actually m confused with that statement . Might b my understanding is wrong but need help to understand exactly when ddb signatures will be committed to ddb and when will chunk will get committed ?

Im a rookie commvault user. What does the “\” back slash represent for the Default subclient of a Windows agent.  Does this mean it will back up all local drives  (c:\, D:\ and e:\ etc...) along with system state?..   Well I see system state is check box is selected so thats a no brainer..  Our server has has multiple.. local drives (C, D, and E) and I didnt know if I needed to create subclients to back these drives up?   I know I could just run a test backup but we arent there just yet with our s3 bucket...Thanks in advanceBC

I am facing the same issue but in our case neither of the jobs are working. We have Oracle 12 în a windows environment. Now regarding the “ File Duplicates Dashboard” (or other dashboards).The docs regarding this dashboard: https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=118036.htmThis report you can export to pdf/html.But that report only contains the “collapsed” first page:  So it doesn’t show all data in the report, and it’s not expanded. So pretty useless.Of course, that’s maybe expected for pdf/htmlIs there a way to export that in csv in order to have all information? 

Hi All. We are planning to deploy commvault marketplace image in Azure for backing up azure services. What could be the approximate license cost for backup azure services? Just need a approximate one.

I have a problem with IndexServer object for one storage policy. For some reason backup of Storage_Polixy_IndexServer started failing (its in running state and never completes). No events listed in the job window. Last synthetic backup failed for all clients for that policy and its probably because Index issue (not 100% sure). Is it possible to create a new one. I know that is created automatically when storage policy is created. Anyone had done that before?CommVault ver. 11.20.9Thanks.
