Hi, We have two environments.Staging and development.On the development commcell(11.35) we are able to create a kubernetes cluster.But on the staging commcell(11.76), we are not able to create the kubernetes cluster.It gives port connectivity error.Unable to create kubernetes cluster with details provided.Failed to connect to kubernetes end point https:x.x.x.x:6443 from access node.Port is open from VSA node,Can you guide me which logs on which machine I have to check to investigate further. 

I have issue that the CV snapshot on our netapp array is not automatically removed and it causing to overflow the snapshot reserved and taking the actual of NAS space.can you share how we can fix it.

Hi Good Day,We have recently upgraded CommVault server to latest version 11.36.35 which use the Dotnet framework version 8.0.11. This was to fix the Dotnet version 6.0.16 vulnerability issue.Even after the upgrade the security scan detect 6.0.16 package on the CommVault server. When I check the add/remove program it shows both 6.0.16 and 8.0.11 packages. Not sure why, as it supposed to be maintained the version 8.0.11.Appreciate your help on this matter. How to fix it.

In CC ( Protect → File Servers → <item>-->tab Configuration (down&left) a list of servers that use current node as Access Node is displayed. I would like to get this list using an API, but I am not able to find the API.Is there an API that provides this info ? Thanks in advance !!

Hi,Does the Dataserver-IP feature require any special libraries, packages or customization on Red Hat 9.4? like here: I have 2 Media Agents and I want to share mount paths (LUNs mounted to each MA). But there are some errors eg. with Data Verification or backup:Cannot connect to Data Server, please make sure desination MediaAgent is up and running and there is no network / connvectivity issue between source and desination Media Agent.In NFSTtransport log:3dfs server @ [cv-ma-g02] failed to start, reason: Services/3dfs are not reachable or refusing connectionThere is no firewall between them, there are able to cummunicate, services are running but still problem exists. There is no NFS service installed on this server - should I install it?

Hi Team, i have a 3 node HSX cluster and a tape library. unfortunately no FC HBA on HSX nodes. i want to do Aux Copy the backup from HSX to Tape library. Meanwhile MA to tape libary is connected using FC. Tape Library MA and HSX are both connected to Commserv , so how we can establish the data connectivity between MA and HSX, and run the Aux copy to copy backup from HSX to Tape

We have upgraded Commserve from 11.28 to 11.36 recently. When we are trying to run the qscript we get following error. One of our vendors suggested that AWS changed something in a recent SDK which can affect (break) S3 communication. On RHEL8 MA’s I see nothing that seems to resemble any sort of file or package relating to any such SDK, so, can someone tell me if AWS’s SDK is being used or if your connection to an S3 compatible storage target might be affected?I only see some sdk’s relating to lib* but nothing that looks like “AWS” specific.thanks

We have some clientes on worm storage policy. Those clients have been shut down. we do not need that clients and their backup anymore. How can I delete them from Commvaut?I I tried manuel deletion, I tried to mark backup job as bad , and I tried to delete via RetireClients worfklow but IT did not work.we need to delete all those clients and their jobs from commvault 

Hi all. After upgrading to 11.32.13 we are sporadically starting to see the below error when doing Vmware snapshot backup. The backup job fails or completes with errors: “Snapshot creation is disabled on [Server name] by [].”   Snapshot creation is not disabled for the server, and when backup is re-run everything is working. Have anyone else seen this behavior? Regards-Anders 

Hi am i correct in assuming that we are restricted to 10GB restores and if greater than that a file server agent must be installed to complete the restore. 

Hello,Current Infra CommCell 11.36.41 Linux on COmmserve & HSXI'm going to get closer to Commvault to have an answer but in the meantime I want to share my questions here.I am working on an interested project to :add redundancy on the dedicated Command Center (HA) Allow access to end user teams to perform cross restore tests etc …I have some requirements from SOC  :the API endpoint must be protected by API Managet like TYK the API calls must be secured by MFADoes Commvault support the use of an API Gateway like TYK ?Does anyone now if we can implement MFA over API ?Thanks ! 

Hello, I am trying to test the application validationfor the first attempt some flow have been blocked by physical firewalls, I opened the ports 2049, 2050 and 111 from ESXi to HSX nodes.I still have the issue, we checked on the physical FW logs and  we see that the ports are allowedIs there any flow to open on the internal firewall firewall-cmd ? 2049, 2050 and 111 ? Thanks !

Dear Commvault Experts In Commvault Doc, it defines Data Aging as: “Data Aging is the process of removing old data from secondary storage to allow the associated media to be reused for future backups.” Q1:What is “secondary storage” ??If I use an EMC storage, such as EMC VMAX array as a destination to save the backed up data, is this EMC storage array “secondary storage”? Q2:If I set storage policy’s retention to be 7days/1 cycle, as well as enable the “Enable Data Aging” feature,  in or after 8th day, will the backed up data be erased from the EMC storage? Thanks for any hint or direction!

 It appears with 11.36 keytool is cranking out 3072 bit requests. Even if I specifiy-keysize 2048 the CSR is exactly the same as the default with no keysize specified and can’t be accepted by the CA (2048 or 4096 allowed). I did open a support case but since this question came up for the windows cvcerttool as well seems like many of us would like the ability to specify keysize.Does anyone know if this is by design or if there is any enhancement request in the pipeline yet?thanks

Hi Guys,We are using on-premisse solution, on version 11.28.56. We have several SAP HANA servers which are backed up without any issue. I am attempting to restore messages from a user’s Recoverable Items folder, but it doesn’t show up at all in the backed up mailbox. I found instructions for enabling the backup of the Recoverable Items folder, as if it isn’t enabled by default. Unfortunately, these instructions are for v11sp16, and we are on v11sp28, and the properties boxes don’t have the settings described.Do I need to enable that option somehow, or is it enabled by default in my version?If the Recoverable Items folder is being backed up, how do I find it when performing a restore?

Hello, Is there a way to set the below value globaly to be higher than the default ( 10K ) ? The Page Size option allows you to specify the number of objects to be displayed in the browse window. You can browse through each page list by selecting the appropriate page number in the Browse window. Once the default is changed, it uses the same page size which was used in previous browse request until changed again. In the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Agent. Right-click a backup_set or subclient, then click All Tasks > Browse and Restore. From the Restore Options dialog box, click the Advanced Options tab. Enter a value for Page Size. I scheduled FS backup to run at 6pm and created a blackout window between 6am and 5:50pm for weekdays. This is a large backup (many TBs) and it wont be finished for weeks. The idea is that the running backup job that started at 6pm will run to 6am the 2nd day. Then it goes into queue state and resumes automatically at 6pm. However backup jobs continue to run after 6 am in the morning and I have to manually stop it. After some research I found below. https://documentation.commvault.com/11.20/blackout_window.html  "If any operations are already running within the time window, then the operations are not affected. The window rules are applicable only to the new operations that start after the time window."  Is there a way to achieve what I need?

Hi community,we have a lot of LTO9 tapes with only few Index Jobs on them (Jobs are in megabyte range) and I would like to re-use these LTO9 tapes (17.58 TB) for other tape-out copies. When these jobs will expire, nobody knows.  Is there any way to copy still valid index jobs to another tape?Pick for refresh, tape to tape copy…?Thanks
