I’m trying to configure an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage but it’s showing this error:  I already put all the information required to configure, such as: Service Host, Tenancy OCID, User OCID, Key’s Fingerprint, PEM Key Filename and Bucket.Also created a config file in .oci folder.What do I have to do to solve this problem?

Hi,Our CommServe has Command Center installed. If I install a second Command Center on an existing MediaAgent in a remote location, which ports are required between the remote Command Center component and the CommServe? Currently, only the minimum ports are opened on the MediaAgent and I want to know if I can use Command Center without the need for additional ports, for example without the need for ports 443 and 80. I visited https://documentation.commvault.com/11.26/essential/7102_port_requirements_for_commvault.html, but I don't see the specific requirements for target machine “CommServe” accessed from “server with Command Center (and browser) installed”.Thanks!

I am going to be rebuilding my commserve in the near future, and the IP address is going to be changing.  Is there a way to 'bulk edit' all of the DIPs associated with the commserve, or will I have to do them all one by one?  I thought there used to be a control panel feature that displayed all DIPs (and could edit them there) but I don't see that option.

Greetings!I’ve been involved in backups for quite a while, but have mercifully been using drives ~ not tapes.  I’m now having to consider tapes.  We have multiple SLAs, including:A monthly full backup to tape, retention to 62 days, lasts 1 month only A monthly full backup to tape, retention of 365 days - so 12 tape backups  A quarterly full backup to tape, retention of 365 days - so 4 tape backupsThe last full backup of the month goes to tape.  So, I forsee a single tape (or a group of tapes with a mess of… ) consisting of 1 month + 12 month retention times.  Some of these tapes will have jobs that last a year as well as jobs that expired months earlier.  What is everyone’s experience with such a thing?  We have over 750 servers involved here.  CV has but one tape drive currently and an operations group to rotate tapes.   Thank you in advance for any experience you can lend me…  Mike

Hi,I explain my case. We have configured a policy through snap and its subsequent backup copy of an NFS through NDMP. When we do the snap, the size is 0 bytes and there have been changes in the nfs content, so the backup copy is not done. On some occasions that same task has finished correctly 'but without data, and other times this error appears Subclient [default] is protected by snapshots on storage array [NFSUNITY] - backup job [338439] client [win-backup] snap engine [Dell EMC Unity Snap]. and this is the summary Backup job [338439] completed. Hi everyone,I’m looking to setup SAML for a customer using Azure AD as the identity provider.I’ve set it up in my lab (Metallic Subscription plus Azure AD), the default mapping of users works to a role that’s specified General Tab of the Identity Server.  Is there a way to have Azure AD detect the group membership and apply it to a Metallic User Group? I’ve Tested based on what I understand the documentation to be, but I’m probably missing something fairly fundamental.  Do I have to set a custom SAML attribute to map the groups through or is there another way?Thanks in advance.

Hi , currently i am involved in O365 POC for commvault complete software. I realize that even though our documentation mentions that is a search function for what kind of files within a 1 drive user to be restore but i cannot find the search bar within 1 drive restore function . However the same search bars exists for exchange online and sharepoint. i have following scenario.There was a user XYZ whose regular backup was taken and now he left companywe delete his account from AD.So, as per infinite retention Policy , his data should remain in metallic forever? am i right?Now, if AD admin recreates his account with same name then will his existing backups be overwritten?Is there any way to get that data back?

Hi,I have one alert for full and transaction logs backup.I want to separate this alert for full backups and transaction logs ? I want to create 2 alert for full and transaction log backup.I use the same instance to backup logs transaction and full. Now I use alert called 'Client not backed up for X minutes' (https://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/store.do#!/137/683/8936), and I don't have parameter to choose ‘Full’ and ‘logs transaction’ backup.How can i do it ? brAleAle

Recently upgraded the iDA on an HP-UX 11.23 server (from 10.something to 11.24.52).  Server is running Informix 11.50Ever since updating the agent all my backups (filesystem & Informix) are failing.  I see the following errors on both job types: Other end <media agent> encountered failure in receiving data [The SDT data transfer was terminated on a request from the Job Manager.]andDB Token [3184921:3:4] doesn't match with the token [3184921:3:3:0:52679] provided by client. Do we have any global setting or additional setting where we can disable the RMAN cross check globally for all Oracle instances. One of the infra I am working has bunch of Oracle instances and I am looking for an easy option instead of going to each instance and disabling it..

Hi,I am currently testing with Airgap technology to make aux/offline copies to an isolated environment with WORM enabled. To explain the situation bit more this is how it works -- see picture below.FYI; to Power On/Off the MA’s I use the Workflow: Airgap which commvault provided.To make it more intelligent I created an PoSH which checks all the jobs that is being initiated by the AirGap Schedule Policy and if all the jobs contains: ‘completed’, ‘completed with errors’ or ‘failed’, the machines are going down using the Workflow.Now I know there are some Administrative Jobs that has to run as well like;Data AgingDDB BackupsData verificationReclamation etc...Ofcourse I can make this part of the PoSH script before Power Off the MA’s but is it smart to do? Is there anyone who has experience with the administrative processes and this technology below? 

Hello We have a separate VM that provides the Commvault WebServer/Adminconsole.We have now noticed that not all information is available in the web console. An example is the information in the report "DDB Dashboard", here no data is displayed.The only thing that has been changed is the Windows firewall. I have enabled port 443 and 80,81 so far. According to my information these ports should be sufficient. Which ports do I have to release on the CommServe and the WebServer to get all data displayed again?Kind RegardsThomas

This is a new installation. We are installing new commserve server on Linux platform. also planning to install Webserver, CommCell console and command center on dedicated windows server. But while installing CS on Linux, WebServer will be installed as default on Linux CS machine. So, need to move the WebServer role to windows server. what are the steps needs to be taken care to make WebServer installed on Windows machine act as default one.
