if I’m not wrong, the reports in feature release 11.21 the reports were generated with name alongwith the jobid, in 11.22 it again changed back to just the name that we provide. Is there a way to append the jobid of the report alongwith the reportname (Report custom name) that we provide

  When following the document on how to stop/start a Hyperscale X appliance node https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/133467_stopping_and_starting_hyperscale_x_appliance_node.html I get to the step unmount the CDS vdisk, and after getting the proper vdisk name and running the cmd# umount /ws/hedvig/<vdiskname>i get the message ‘device is busy’.What’s the proper way to remediate this and continue?ThanksG 

Hello everyone,I am trying to push the company I work for into retiring Tape Backups and get more into cloud storage.  I am working with our Reps for pricing, but I do have one question that I know will come up to a degree.  Currently we backup our VM’s over multiple tapes,  The jobs do a few VM’s depending on what they do so one job may backup 7-10 VMs and span them over a tape or two.  If we point these Aux to the Cloud instead of tape when I go to restore from the Metallic Recovery Reserve will Commvault need to download the entire “tape” of that backup or can it pick what it needs from that one file?  Also if it does have to download everything where does that get stored while its restoring.  The reason I ask is if I will need to redo my VM backups and just put them all on separate jobs.  It may be a simple question but I figured I would ask here about it.  Thank you for any info you can give.

Hi, maybe you have an idear :)  We are migration index V2 from 1 vm to another vm. the index is used only for Exchange Online Backups.  The migration time is very slow ! We had 750 Mailbox so 750 Indexes and it takes 15 minuts for each mailbox. I looks like an timeout or an wait ore something like this.  The side effect is that the recall is not working for all mailboxes. 

 We do see aux copy completed with error because of skipped jobs But we dont see the job id gui  not even in the logs. is there any way to see the job when it say job is skipped ?    

Hey all,I’m adding a non-domain connected vSphere to my existing Commcell (via the Commserve) and when I connect from the CS box to add the client, the connection failed immediately with:“failed to get member servers as proc APPGetVSMemberservers returned empty result”That error occurs after I hit browse on the subclient to view the VMs.I’m using a full admin vSphere account XXXX@vsphere.local - and I’m thinking this is not a Commvault problem but a domain/vSphere prob. So I’m kinda asking for some insight for those who have added non-domain connected boxes before. I have no issues logging into vSphere from a browser on the CS box (full admin, create VMs, delete VMS, etc) - but from CS console on the same box - I get the above error.

On Gmail backups, some of the user backups are getting failed due to account is offline or something? is there an easy method to find out the failed users list from the backup job.

Hi I have started to work with a new customer, and this customer are using Commvault LiveSync, and one thing that are making my attention, and there for this questions.  When looking into the client group “CVLiveSync”, I can see mutiple groups with or without clients inside. I can of course see the client group called “CVLiveSync”, that have the active and passive node.But I can also see other client groups, that have normal Commvault Clients inside.  Is that normal for the client group “CVLiveSync”, that you put also normal Commvault clients into this client group? I would except that this client group “CVLiveSync” would only contain one group only contain the active and passive node. Or am I wrong here? Thanks in advance! 

Hello all,we had to delete some mountpathes a few weeks ago without problems. Now we get some jobs “DeleteMountPathAuthorization”, but the pathes are deleted already. Is there a way to get rid of these jobs? After killing the jobs we get the jobs queued again after a while. Thank you.

Hello all,maybe you can help me!?The following situation at the customer:Linux system with HANA DB (all HANA specific filesystems connected via NFS)the customer has one IP for the host and one VIP (+DNS) for HANA (same subnet). The idea is that he can move the HANA system to a stronger host at any time without having to change anything in the HANA configuration (hence NFS).How do I manage to add the system 2 times in Commvault (1 x under its real host name for OS backups and 1 x as virtual system with the VIP and the HANA DB name (DNS entry for the VIP) for all HANA specific connections? So far Commvault takes sometimes one and sometimes the other IP as primary IP when I create the client and when I want to include the other one I fail. Under Dataprotector this was easy, because there was the possibility to enter a virtual host. So the DB integrations could run over the VIP (and it didn't matter where the DB was running) and the host backup over the host entryBest regards Frank

Hi! I wanted to test out the hardened Commvault image available to download from the storehttps://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/#!/130/704/20288 I have downloaded the ova and deployed it to VMware environment. During deployment I have specified new hostname and password, but I cannot login to the VM because the password I set don’t work. The hostname is changed only after a manual reboot but password is not working.OVA deployment is pretty straight-forward and it is something I am rather familiar with, but I cannot get this to work. I’m wondering if anyone has similar experience or am I missing something?
