how do i set up alerts for killed jobs. The current options only send alerts for failed, skipped , etc. but not for killed. any advise

I am attempting to create a workflow to disable snmp monitoring on a particular alert.I have successfully used the http-client custom activity to toggle the alert enable/disable.My issue is that I am attempting to email the http response from the activity, but I cannot figure out how to pass the response from the activity to the next downstream activity.the docs say… “7. Click the Outputs to retrieve the output from the XML operation activity...” Anybody have any insight or example that utilize the http-client activity in a multistep workflow? Thanks, Ken

Hello Guys, I need your help. The Customer protects two VMware vCenters. During backup job of any subclient and any vCenter they are getting the following error:  I tried run backup using diferent VSA but I got exactly the same error.

HelloIs it possible to modify subclient using command line/powershell?The backup content name changes every day and i would like a way to update the subclient content automatically without me having to upgrade the file to backup.We are running commvault v11.22.13

In a standard Backup Set/Subclient (File System agent), when you check Extend storage policy retention (Subclient Properties of… > Retention tab), it is possible to select one of two available modes: Job Based Retention and Object Based Retention. With Job Based Retention mode, there are some recommendations about archiving. With Object Based Retention, there is no recommendations about archiving, but the documentation cites stubs (Stubs are files that point to backed up and archived data). On Commvault world data functions as both a backup and archive copy, but It seems to me that both modes are related to File Archiving function, not traditional backup. Why are they here? I'm talking about a standard Backup Set, not an Archive Set.

Hi,I’m having an issue with Sharepoint Document backup and am wondering if anybody else had this issue before. I have configured an app-aware  (SQL) VM backup and the initial job ran successfully and pushed out the required agent to the VM and subsequently backed up the SQL instance however the schedules initially assigned to VM look to have been applied to SQL subclient which causes the job to fail on next run and every run thereafter as the application is trying to be backed up both as an app-aware VM but also a standalone SQL backup.Has anyone else had this issue with SQL app-aware backups?

Hi,I’ve needed to delete - create again the DDB and I need to use same partition paths as they were used before (disk was formatted). Currently I cannot create a DDB as I have message: “The specified mount path os already in use”Well I know that it’s described here:http://kb.commvault.com/DD0051 But do you know somebody if there is way to force cleanup and do not wait 24h ? The data aging is not doing the trick. Thanks

I have a customer who upgraded 4 of their Hyper-V hosts to new hardware (2 sockets per host).I installed the VSA on the 4 new hosts and released the licenses on the old hosts.2 of the hosts have not reported back to the Commserve indicating they’ve been released. I retired the clients, with no change.I restarted Commserve Services and ran a Data Aging Job.The license summary report is still reporting over use.

Hi! I have a subclient that I use for ad hoc testing of backup/restore etc. Today I wanted to test the outcome for various job alert settings since the upgrade from 11.20 to 11.22 brought about some unwelcome changes to the emailed alerts. Rather than make a change to the job alerts for the many already defined jobs/schedules and then having to wait for the normal job run to see the result I figured it would be better/faster/less disturbing to test the alerts on an ad hoc subclient - one without any schedule.To perform the test the steps I followed were :Right click the subclient and select “Backup” In the “Backup Options” dialog box click the “Advanced” button In the “Advanced Backup Options” dialog box click the “Alert” tab There is no alert defined so click the “Add Alert” button Define the alert as you wish. I gave the alert a “Display Name” of “Ad Hoc Test” Complete the backup and observe the results.

Hi Just like a ‘Plan’ can be created as a base plan and additional plans ‘derived’ from the base plan….Does/ will  such a concept exist for VM Groups The idea ofHaving a ‘base’ VM Group creating multiple derivative VM groups, with partial optional overrides   then having the derivative VM groups ‘update’ when the base group is updatedThis would be incredibly usefulPS: There are mechanisms to come up with a ‘coded’ solution to this (and there is a subclient cloning process), but having a solution within the Admin Center would be ideal       

Hello,I have a doubt in setting up DDB Creation in awindows cluster environment.2 physical servers with installed media agent and a virtual storage (starwind)1) can the DDB be on the storage shared by the nodes of the cluster?2) Can I use only 1 DDB for all nodes (MA) or should I have a DDB for each MA? 

Hi All, I have an environment having issues using NBD Transport getting the old “VDDK Deadlocks” (FR21 with VDDK 7.0.0), VMware Environment is 7 U1c.Has anyone used VDDK 7.0.1 or 7.0.2? Also, is there any plans to include these VDDK versions in later FR’s/MR’s? Thanks & Regards,Michael

Hi, We have 2 Windows Commvault Servers.Previously, none of them could do a LiveBrowse for Windows VMs during a Guest Files and Folders restore task. After we put Commvault exclusion on our anti-virus (SentinelOne), and turned off Firewalls on them, the LiveBrowse is now working on Windows Commvault Server No.1, but still not working on the Windows Commvault Server No.2 which always fails with LiveBrowse error code -6, failed to initialize VM disks. The 2 Servers are very similar except thatThe No. 1 uses local disks as disk library, whereas No. 1 uses a NAS as disk library. The No. 1 Commvault is 11.20, whereas No. 2 Commvault version is 11.14Just to see if the NAS is the issue for No. 2, I’ve setup a local drive as disk library for a test backup, followed by a LiveBrowse restore, but failed again with the same error message. I’ve logged a case with Commvault support, but the engineer couldn

Hi All,We are completely installing Commvault setup from scratch for 100+ sites. I am looking your assistance to generate the report as per mgmt report.I need to populate the data in CommServe Dashboard only for migrated clients/media agents. For example I have one remote site and the report related the sites such as Disk Library growth Media Agent load, SLA , Job Summary and etc.. should be included in the commvault reports after migration. As per my understanding, I can exclude particular client  or group from SLA report. Hi,Recently I twice created an Office 365 app using Command Center in 2 different CommCells (both SP22.13) and they didn't show up in the Java CommCell Console. Is this expected behavior or should they become visible in the CommCell Console? Type of 1 one of them is SharePoint Online (as opposed to SharePoint Online (Classic)).Thanks!
