Hello,Is there any documentation available to integrate Bocada into Commvault. This product is used for monitoring.https://www.bocada.com/supported-applications/commvault-montoring-reporting/It looks like the requirement is for a read-only user directly in SQL and not via API authentication.Is creating an account within SQL allowed? Or is there an alternative method to achieve this? Thanks.Ignes
Hi,I am trying to delete a deconfigured client. I get the error “ Detected Media Agent platform. Delete Media Agent before cleaning up the client.”This client is not listed under Storage Resources → MediaAgents.No backup jobs exist for this client. Is there a way to forcefully remove the client? Hello!We are finally testing Indexing v2 for VMs and it seems like it is MUCH faster than V1. We are testing on our 800+ dev/test VMs and we have some random errors:Failure Reason: Mismatch detected in blocks being backed up for certain volumes or disks. The next incremental will resolve the situation automaticallySo yeah, I opened a new case with CV support but… it seems like they have no idea what should be done :)So, now the Support Engineer says that the problem is ...with the incremental backup before Synch Full. Interesting, but the last incremental is green. I am uploading more and more logs for investigation, and there is no answer [yet].So, I wanted to ask the community, probably somebody knows what could be the reason.BTW, using Indexing v1 with the same ESXi hosts, the same network etc we did not have issues like this.
Hi Team, May need you help to identify the error for the exchange index Solr server and may advise is there any fix for this instead creating new index server? actually i already create new index server with vesion 11.28. the old one from 11.13 and start have issue with 11.24. i know there is new index build server from version 11.22. just curios is there any way to fix the old index server? is this cause by the Third party software when we install Setup.exe.

Dear all,we have several VMs included in the same Appaware subclient. I created a new Appaware subclient, assigned a new schedule policy and moved one the above VMs to it. The storage policy remains the same for both the subclients and all the VMs have a recent Full available.The first backup job for the new subclient was set of type Incremental, may anybody help me understanding why it was converted to full? Hello everyone,We are trying to configure backup for Linux PCS cluster, We have installed agent on nodes and configured cluster psuedo client for cluster IP. Cluster psudo client is configured but its not able to find the active physical node. even if we force sync its completing but still active physical node is not updated.I dont have knowledge on how PCS cluster works but our linux admin says in os both nodes will be inactive but PCS cluster manages both nodes and handles the clustering

Hi, Trying to find the best way to set up at Selective Copy in a Plan to be able to send One-Time, Client Specific, Full backups to Tape for external audits. In a Storage Policy this is easy as we can select what Client, or even SubClient, to copy data for. This option is not available in a Plan though, it’s only which Fulls to Copy for all associated Clients.I can create a separate Plan for this and redirect a Full Backup to this Plan but that would mean a new Full backup and these jobs can be up to 30TB which is not ideal to stream directly to Tape in this environment. We want to benefit from Synthetic Fulls from the Primary Disk Copy. Can I create this Selective Copy from the CommCell Console under the Storage Policy section for the Plan or is that not supported/recommended? Or will Client Selective be available in Plans in a short future?Regards,Patrik

Retiring Server, what is the recommended method to stop backing up, while retaining data through the storage policy period and aging data off?
As title implies, I am retiring a VM Server. Currently, this server gets backed up daily, and it kept on local disk storage for a period of 1 month. What is the correct prescribed method using the command center GUI to “stop” the daily backups, and then just have the data age off for the next month until there is no data left and I can delete the VM from the VM group backup. Do I simply change the “plan” the vm is affiliated with to “none”?
Hi all-I have two commcells (primary and disaster recovery) and 4 media agents (2 primary, 2 DR), al running Windows 2012. I will be spinning up a new 2019 environment that I plan to run in parallel until I have everything running on 2019 with no issues. Question: is this the best solution? I’ve seen a couple of nicely detailed posts here about in-place upgrades but since I am also setting up new media agents in both locations, I figure I’d just spin up a new 2019 server for the Commserve in both locations. Does anyone have any pointers or guide on how to do this in the least painful way possible? I’ve been reading various kb articles as well, but I would love to hear from anyone who’s done this so I can get an idea of what’s ahead of me. Thanks everyone.
So,I’m having a project with Commvault and a HPE Apollo 4200 with 24x 12 TB NLSAS drives.What would be a best practice approach when creating the array(and logical volume) in the aerver Raid Controller?I read some people saying that the max volume should be 4 TB per mount point, does this make sense these days ?If yes, that means that I need to create 66 volumes of 4TB each within raid controller.Any beneficts on doing this versus a single volume with 264 TB?thanks

Are there also plan for creating this feature on Ubuntu Linux?or are the other ways to achieve this?

We are running Ubuntu Full FS backup for a client with Backup size ~18TB with ~100+ Crore numbers of files. Which is successful but the backed up date size is only ~9TB. Backup completed without any errors or warnings. There is no exclusions in the sub client content.When we are trying to restore most of the directory are showing empty which is not actually empty in the client server. Can someone suggest why this is happening ?
Hello,Like many, most of my experience comes from using the Commcell Console and I am trying to familiarize myself with the Command Center. However, I’m finding it difficult understanding some of the differences in terminology between the two. I’m looking to create plans to replace the legacy schedule and storage policies, as well as organize the data in the Command Center similar to how it is organized in the java console i.e. Client Computer Groups > Clients > Backup Sets > Subclients etc. At the moment I’m spending a lot of time just trying to find where everything is because the names of certain things have changed i.e. I no longer see subclients or Client computer groups. What is the equivalent of a Backup set or a Subclient in the Command Center? Is there any documentation that explains the differences or outlines “what’s changed” from the java console to the Command Center? Thanks,Enrique
