Hi team,I need a recommendation for our vmware backups.Our situation is as follows;Definition 1: With DefaultBackupSet, we back up approximately 1000 VMs with a large number of subclients every day with incr and on weekends with Synthetic Full.Definition 2: With another BackupSet, we are backing up VMs with 1 tag in Vcenter every Friday. There are about 2500 VMs. Jobs work as incr on Friday, we can't run full because backup takes too long. We shorten the time by taking incr and Synthetic Full works after the subclient is finished.Both types of backup are done with NBD, not suitable for our SAN and Hot-add environment.We use 10 virtual proxies in total.Since backups working with Definition 2 start incr, if it has a new VM tag, it automatically converts to Full. If there is a VM backed up with both definitions, it continues as Incr.Now the config made here may be wrong, but I need this, what do you recommend?- As in Definition 1, I have to back up about 1000 VMs every day.- As in Definit

Hello We are planning an Commvault upgrade from FR11.24.xx to FR11.28.5X. We still have a lot of 2012 servers and SQL2012 servers. Wat would be better? Let the agent on win 2012 on FR11.24.9x,  or upgrade the clients to 11.26.xx.Commvault 11.26.xx is the last Commvault version that supports Windwos 2012 and SQL2012.  If we use additional setting we could upgrade the client to FR11.26.xx  Thanks in advance!

Hello Good morning,please help, I have a backup of a Hyper-V with Job Id 30030 which backs up about 100 Virtual machines, according to the images attached, I just need to copy the VM Job 30084 (only one machine of the 100), from disk or tape to another tape completely with a different retention this from the console and not from the command center, because according to customer requirements are not used plans. this is the backup job of the hyper-v with the 100 machines 👇 and this is the VM job 30084 from the copy of the virtual machine that I need to send to a completely different tape  👇

Hi Team,we have a MA, which has four mount points all comes from backend SAN. out of four, one mount points are showing error while writing the data. i checked the disk management, disk was showing as read only than i have rebooted the MA and made the disk read/write. created test folder on the disk which working fine. but when i run the storage validation, it gives below error. did anyone had these kind of issue ? 7944  173c  09/09 10:20:44 685427 Scheduler  Set pending cause [Failed to mount the disk media in library [LIB05] with mount path [C:\CommVaulttLibrary\503] on MediaAgent [cv5]. Good day All.I am busy with an implementation to configure WORM from Commvault and writing to HYDRAstor. The solution makes use of both Intellisnap and streaming backups.The challenge is that the requirement has requirements for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly retention.What is the best method to configure this?I have seen that the Snap Primary copy and Primary copy needs to have the same retention. How do you cater for the extended retention requirement? Is it possible to enable Extended Retention on the Primary copy or is the only way to create secondary copies for each retention requirement and enable WORM on those copies/storage pools?The challenge with HYDRAstor is to reduce reads as much as possible but when Aux copies run between the copies it initiates reads in order to write to the next copy for the new retention.I understand that the jobs/storage pools can be deleted If any of the copies were configured incorrectly but Support would be required? Any advise will be appreciat

I built a workflo that I would like to deploy on another commcell and its coming down as a .TML instead of a .XML.I thought maybe i did something wrong- but all the workflows i have built even the built-in ones are exporting like that. Anyone else having this issue?

The scheduled Data Aging report is now sending a zip file instead of a HTML.  This was not set by the administrator.  Where would I go to edit the report to send HTML instead of a zip file.

Hi Team, i am having issues with Data Aging. Basically the setup is following 30 Days 1 Cycle on on SP7 Days 1 Cycle on another SP Daily Incremental and Weekly Full / Synthetic Full Basically moastly about 2000 VMs which gets destroyed from time to time. As i do not have an impact when the VM is destroyed i can not fullifill the Cycle and some data will never age.  Is there a automatism if a VM is not found anymore and Data “should” age out that the client and all the corresponding Backups are freed up?  thanks

I am trying to follow the ansible documentation for ansible request. I am trying to figure out a way to stop the services, it seems that there is only a way to restart them. I cannot figure out where the other actions are listed within the documentation. Can somebody point me in the right direction?  I know that ansible request contacts the API, but I cannot find a references for this command within the API documentation either. I also cannot find documentation for the acceptable parameters within the “payload” parameter. https://github.com/Commvault/ansiblev2#commvault.ansible.request
