I'm stuck trying to restore Guest files and folders on an agentless VWware client.It seems to be an authetication issue.The VMware tools are up-to-date on the client. Hi,I’ve been running some tests with customer lately and we came across some very troubling situation during out of place restore of Oracle database. Specifically restore out of place is trying to delete source database redo logs. Hi all.Just wanted to share here that although Okta is not officially supported we have been able to get it work for 2FA as a basic Other standalone time-based PIN. We set 2FA against a group and then place users in one at a time. I wrote a couple of docs about it if anyone would like the details.

As a new user of Commvault we would like to rely on your experience.We are planning to upgrade our vCenter from a windows based vCenter version 6.5 to an appliance with version 7.0u3. The plan is to do an in-place upgrade of the vCenter, name and IP-details stay the same.As the vCenter will change OS from windows to Linux based, The Commserve could see the vCenter as a new client. We would like to know if this update can trigger a Full backup on all VM's in this vCenter..? Hopefully some one has done this before and knows the impact. 

Hi all,I am looking for some hints and tips to configure vCloud director as a restore target.We added a MA with VSA at the vCloud location.Added vCloud director as hypervisor to CV. I know that Storage Policies do not flow into Plans in Command Center, but there is a workflow in the Commvault Store where you can select the Storage Policies to migrate to Plans. My question is what does automatically migrate to Command Center from the Java GUI? Client servers? Alerts? Events? Job Controller information? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hello Commvault Community, Today I need information on data protection in Google shared drives. Commvault licenses are purchased under which the drives of Google Workspace users are backed up.I want to change the Google Workspace package that allows me to work with shared drives. Does Commvault backup Google shared drives? If so, do the current licenses we have (Cloud Apps) allow backup of Google shared drives or is it necessary to purchase others? How should I configure a shared drive copy in Commvault (needs documentation for SP20)? Thanks&Regards,Kamil

The Quick DDB Verification Job identifies all the files that can be defragmented and logs the details in the DDBMntPathInfo.log, but Is there a Commvault log where I can find the space reclaimed after a DDB space reclaim job is done?

Hello everyone,I have some VMs that are being protected, and for these VMs, a Plan was created for them (as we are MSP, and each VM has a specific schedule, a specific Plan was created to protect them) and the Plan was associated for them.With this, two of the VMs it was necessary to configure the DR, and a Replication Group was created as should be, and the VMs was associated with this Replication Group.I know that for the Disaster Recovery work needs to perform a backup job first in the source and with this backup job update the destination. Still, one thing came to my mind looking at this scenario: What happened with the Plan I created and associated before? The backup will be running as expected or only the DR? Also, after creating the Replication Group, both VMs are in this Replication Group, and I cannot manage the Plan as I can do with the other VMs in Command Center.Does anyone have any idea about this? Thanks, 😊.

Hello,What is the Metallic Infrastructure needed on AWS?I mean, the customer will have to deploy (and pay) for compute(ec2)+storage (S3) resources on AWS.Regarding the compute part, I am understanding that Backup Gateway (EC2) is required. What about the Media Agent. Is it also required?Any other compute node is required beyond the GW?Thanks!Cesar

Hi guys, Hope everyone is doing well.I have a workflow that I scheduled to run once per day, the workflow may take time to complete (Over a day sometimes depending on the data to process).I need to have only one workflow job to be running at the same time, and I wonder how can I prevent the next scheduled job of the workflow to be canceled if the today’s one will keep running until the next day. Found the “AcquireLock” activity, which I tried to use at the start of the workflow, which works fine to prevent the next scheduled workflow to execute, however it remains in the waiting state, while I want it to end directly if the previous one is still running.Is there any way to force the AcquireLock to process to the next activity even if it didn’t acquire the lock ? That why, if it didn’t acquire the lock, I can end the workflow directly. Regards. 

Hello team,Just want to confirm with Commvault that all users from V1 will not have access to the webconsole once they have been migrated to Exchange online or if there is a workaround for this issue ?Issue:after migrate mail archive v1 to exchange online, user can't view their emails through webconsole and gave java error The issue is now that all the users who have been on Mail Archiver V1 do not have access to view their emails through webconsole but only through the search option.All Mail Archiver V2 are able to access their mail through the search function as well as their webconsole.  I think the Indexing in both V1 and V2 is different and that could be the cause of the issue we are having.
