 Do we ever reset back to job 1?  In other words, if we have more than X jobs, does the next job ever go back to 1?

Hi, I am new to Commvault and was trying to test some Commcell migration features. But everytime I tried to export from a CommServe, the job gets suspended with an sql failure in the logs. I did try it on 11.26.0, 11.26.8 and got the same results. Hello guys,I have an error below:NDMP Data Connection is on Interface [lif_XX-XX_MGMT] Port [e0M] IP: [xx.xx.x.58] with Speed [1000 Mbps]. Higher speed [10000 Mbps] port is available on the file server [xx.xx.x.58] which may improve performance. Please check with the file server vendor for configuring NDMP preferred data interface.but no port is blocked, a few days ago the backup ran smoothly, and now it's giving an error can someone guide me how to proceed

Hi, I was migrating commserva to a new machine using CommServe Hardware Refresh: Setting Up the CommServe Database in the New Hardware.What went wrong was the remnants of Commserve Life SyncWhen I click Commserve Livesync, what is shown in the picture. I don't know forvery much like debugging it. I bet that some remnants of the previous oneconfiguration. I can't see anything in the logs. 

I need to restore from tapes I backed up to about a year ago. When I put the year old tapes into my library it says they are empty/spare media. I run a full scan and it completes instantly and nothing is updated. Is there a way to inventory the tapes like in backup exec? I am new to using commvault.

Dear Community,Comcell: 11.24.23i want to created a workflow for the UseCase Mailbox User Offboarding. The Form should be trigger with smtp Mail Variable and create a Backup and Restores the Mailbox as .pst to a UNC Path. My big Problem here is that the Workflow doesnt understand the InstanceTyp → Exchange Mailbox there is no Q_xxx that suits for that in the List , when i try with Q_MSECH_MB the jobs goes in pending state with “Failed to enumarate iDataAgent…..”, there are only Q_MSEXCH for 2003,2k archiv,db available but nothing Office 365.Or he says that the Client has not installed the Module …. When you initiate a backup via GUI he uses as iDataAgent “Exchange Mailbox”. Is there anyone out there who managed to get a running workflow for Office 365 Mailbox Backup. Cheers,Thomas

Hi all, Currently user is running v11 SP25, Oracle backup was running fine until user upgraded Oracle firmware and hence the Full backup hit the abnormal behavior, failed and resumed and backup size will grow up to 33tb (actual DB size is 5tb) I am not sure what is causing this issue, from logs I only manage to identified that connection was  15873 460e 02/19 13:15:23 1336308 CCvNetworkServer::ReadThread() - Could not peek for data format. Error:'0xFFFFFFFF:{CCvNetwork::PeekDataFormat(6495)} +  Just wondering if it was network issue it should not be able to run backup at all. I have attached some logs, appreciate if anyone could share some idea which part to check on. Thanks.

Hello Everyone,we have migrated few mailboxes from on-prem to cloud, and we would like to backup these mailboxes one time for long term retention(diff retention from our regular jobs). we would assign o365 licenses, do a backup then remove o365 licenses.in my understanding, whether o365 license is removed, cvlt will continue to keep/protect the data based on retention set?Would commvault license continue to be counted or release along w/ o365 license?thank you for your feedback or recommendations.

Hi, I found one of my colleagues destroyed one of the server we backed up via File System agent without previously de-configuring it in Commvault. That ended up in a backup job stuck in pending status on “scan” phase during days.Is there any way to force a backup to be killed if it is stuck in a specific task and it has no progress after some time, possibly without using workflows?Thanks!

can someone please guide me in creating workflow which will rerun failed backups, and I will want to schedule that work flow at least two times a day.

What is the best migration strategy?1- Prepare a new machine, with a new IP and new hostname, install and configure everything (it is possible that there will be a problem with licensing, because I don't know if we can have two CommServe instances running at the same time) and after everything is ready, point the clients for that new host?Or2- Create a new machine, install and configure all related CommVault services, and on migration day, change that new machine's name and IP to reflect the environment's current CommServe hostname and IP?Obs.: I remember that I would not like to bring jobs, policies, any configuration of the current CommServe, I would like to configure and review everything from scratch, in order to review the entire current environment and eliminate possible gaps.I understand that for my case, option number 1 would be the most ideal, but I don't know the complexity of making all the clients that today point to CommServe A (for example) point to CommServe B, on the mi
