Hello, We ar we are planning to upgrade our Vcenter to 8.0.2 but commvaul support only 8.0.1. Anyone know when Vcenter 8.0.2 wil be supported?  Our Commserver running on SP 11.32.28. 

Hi, Our MySQL DB admin has removed some transactions logs from DB side. No we recieve following error in incremental backup. our full backup is a snap backup. So after the full, incremental are also failing with the same error. what we can do to fix this without purging logs from D side ? Really appreciate the help at this point.

I am working on automation which installs SQL iDataAgent on new clients and also creates AG (Availability Group) Instance.I have found this API endpoint to push install the MSSQL iData Agent on the servers but I can’t find an example of creating AG Instance via API.

All,I’m looking for some guidance. There is a report that can be installed from the CV Store that claims to show “Active Jobs” and it does so, but only backup type jobs. Is anyone aware of a report like this but that shows Administrative type jobs as well? Essentially what I’d like to do is create a custom dashboard that would show any jobs that would be running in the job controller plus some other data/metrics. I want all this data to come from the Metrics Server’s CVCloud database. The table is there for the Admin jobs, so I know the data is there. I unfortunately don’t know anything about the report builder and/or MS SQL to build a customer report. It would be nice if this came as a canned report, but I haven’t found one. Thank you in advance for any and all guidance/input. Adam Davenport 

Is there a way to enable the Root User on a Hyperscale 1.5 node from command line? It was disabled when we deleted the storage pool and I was unaware we cannot run the umount command as the cvbackupadmin user.

Hi everyone please i need some help, i try to discovery RDS SQL instances but is not occurred.I have open many cases in support, and they work in issue but they are not finding a solution.All system requirements are OK, but what's even stranger is that it lists every other technology, just SQL, which doesn't.The message in cvd.log and the Command Center is: "All SQL Server instances are configured."i put the screen in attachWe have already exhausted all possibilities for resolving this problem.Pleeeeasee i need helpbest regards for all!!Sandro

CV 11.32.43Recently upgraded from 28 to 32 and immediately noticed more than a single backup job running for the same snapshot.A little more context -  Run a full snapshot job on a VCenter Client, then a Backup Copy. Job started no problem.Few hours later, the automatic scheduled kicked in and another backup copy job on top of the one I started manually started as well (two running simultaneously for the same snap) - the new job, picked the VMs that were still waiting on the first job. While looking at the FR11.32 documentation I found the link below. Hi Folks,First, many thanks for the information here. I’ve solved a lot of issues just reading answers found here.Ok, here’s the rundown. We changed the Commcell service account password on the AD side. We thought we went into Commcell Console and updated the credential there. Everything was working fine, until a short time later and now we cannot login using our AD account (If I’m reading correctly, is that because the service account can no longer connect to the AD for an LDAP lookup?)Looking into the EvMgrS.log I can see this entry### EvSecurityMgr::userLogin() - processAdUser returned [-105], "Failed to connect to the domain server. Hello all,I just hit a situation. When trying to change the LiveSync default storage policy, documentation told me that the new user defined storage policy for the commserve livesync feature should be NON deduplicated.Happens that this environment has as storage options an HSX RA appliance and tape storage.HSX RA is per design a deduplicated storage pool.Has any one faced this situation? I did not want to create another disk pool to satisfy this NON deduplication necessity. Is there any way out?Regards,

Hi team,Im facing an issue witg exchange 2019 Backup is running good no issue But when i try to restore a database it failed with error vss writer errorI checked the vss writer no errors.Checked event viewer log and found an event id 8194 access denied I have added the network service user to COM security and rebooted the exchange server and performed the restore again i got the same error but the event viewer log hsa changed to id 4356exchange, application, service VSS writer, failing restoring a backup. Has anyone faced this issue before ?  It is a dark site and i couldnt get the logs.

Cannot update copy with override retention when storage pool is using Storage WORM lock property set.It is only possible to add/remove associations when we remove the option of WORM storage lock?I know the procedure.@Commvault feedback: It is maybe better to make possible that we can add. I also completed the Advance Configuration course and received the Advanced badge.My issue is that I am unable to see any of these in my Commvault learning dashboard and if I click on Detailed view, it says there is no matching Education Advantage account. Where can I see my Certifications to provide to my employer? Many thanks,Rich

We have large RDS SQL server in our environment and currently backup is not using multifile option and backup is very slow. I check the AWS documentation, it says that for large large database it support multifile backups.Importing and exporting SQL Server databases using native backup and restore - Amazon Relational Database Service Amazon S3 has a size limit of 5 TB per file. For native backups of larger databases, you can use multifile backup. example:Example of multifile backup exec msdb.dbo.rds_backup_database @source_db_name='mydatabase', @s3_arn_to_backup_to='arn:aws:s3:::mybucket/backup*.bak', @number_of_files=4; My question is Does Commvault support (v11.32) multifile backup for RDS SQL server. Best Regards

Commvault client was installed on the new server and connectivity between Commcell and new server is working fine. Check Readiness on the the existing pseudo client is ok. However when connecting to the instance it is showing “unable to establish connectivity with these instance properties. instance properties validation failed. Please check DB credentials”. Hihow can i identify which users impersonate to SQL backup for logshipping job?(Subclient - CvFailoverLogShipping) its suppose to be in the SQL the installed on the Comserve itself? if so, i can identify it? i want to switch the user that do this backup, i created a specific user that cannot lock...just need to configure it in SSMS :)Thanks
