Hello i have installed webserver/webconsle server for archiving recalling service everything was working then i have installed outlook 2013 64bit.and i got this error  i have restarted the tomcat service replaced the i18n from C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\AdminConsole\OEM\113 to C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\AdminConsole\OEM\116 and 119 uninstalled .Net framework and reinstalled again. restarted the server  Restarted the iis servicesand the issue still persist any advise ? 

Hello, im trying to configure Nutanix appliance i have entered the prism ipport 9440 is accessible from the access node the readiness is ready.but when i cannot browse the vms in the vms tab, when i switch to the containers and expand i can see the vms.when i select a vm from a container and try to perform a backup it pop up an error that vm is not found or subclient is empty  attached the vsbkp log from access node contains the error below curl-err:[No error] http-resp:[412] url:[https://10.11.153.100:9440/PrismGateway/services/rest/v2.0/vms/2e2d2a1d-fad6-b949-8b1f-535e4deaf2a2] req-data:[_null_] len:[0] server-resp:[{"message":"This action is not supported on Prism Central","detailed_message":"This action is not supported on Prism Central","error_code":{"code":1101,"help_url":"http://my.nutanix.com"}}] resp-size:[188] your advise is appreciated. 

Hello Commvault Community,  Could any of you tell me about the location for the Commvault Vaultracker configuration? How will they differ, how to understand it correctly, because in the documentation I have not found an answer that fully allowed me to understand it. What is the difference between Stationary and Transit location - is it just a logical difference or maybe I don't understand something? Thanks&Regards,Kamil

Hello Community, #1 Is there a possibility of encountering issues such as performance degradation, resource contention, and conflicts when running both Commvault Azure VM backup (both Intellisnap and regular Azure VM-level backup) and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) on the same virtual machine at the same time(running both Commvault Azure VM backup using Intellisnap and ASR on the same virtual machine) or any side node from other customers that you were aware of  #2 are those two solutions work differently and capture different types of data during backup/asr replication? thanks 

Hello we just upgraded to 11.28 maintenance release 63 and I have noticed that the commcell EVENT VIEWER - ALL Events is no longer displaying “program-JobManager” backup jobs like it use to when we were on 11.24.x.   It does list in the event viewer when the DR jobs runs or if there is are fail logins etc but no longer displays the completed backup jobs.Backup jobs are running successful as I can in the “command center” they have completed successful Any thoughts on why this is happening.  Im still consider myself a rookie commvault user. ThanksBC

Good day everyone,I have a customer that has been doing file arching for few years now. But now they need to massively recall everything that has been archived, but for that they need to provision the space required for the recall.As mentioned on the following thread, I can see the Archive / Compliance Job summary report:And it shows what was archived using traditional Archiving.But, the problem is that the customer switched to OnePass at some point. And based on the customer’s estimation, the OnePass archived data does not show in the report.Is there a way to see how much data has been archived with OnePass? Many thanks in advance.

Hello,I have Commserve backup server simpana version 11.20.85, I have configured setup for backup four virtual machine (VMware virtualization)I noticed that the Data and Index backup of four virtual machine is placed on two separate tapes on the Tape library. This is a limitation because I have two drives on the Tape library.If I have a backup that is performed on another drive, the backup of these four virtual machines cannot be performed simultaneously.Where is it configured, perhaps in the Storage policy or Schedule policy, that the Data and Index backups are placed on two separate tapes?Best regards,Elizabeta

Hi All, our security team ask me if its possible to install the trend micro av software on the frel. We used the ova template from comvmault. If its okay to install the av agent are the normal excludes for an mediaagent under linux enough or did we need more excludes ?

Appreciate if someone can clarify below question,we have critical system backup run mid night and if incase the backup job doesn't complete before working hours we need the jobs to be queued or killed , which one to use  , i can below option for schedule which i can apply for individual task under a schedule , what if I enable total running time but didnot selected kill running job when total running time expires ? and if i set blackout window for client or server groups how it will affect,suppose my job starts at 12 am midnight and i set blackout window from 8 am to 6 pmwhat happends to a job which started midnight and could not complete before 8 , will it get killed or suspended or queued ,?i can set blackout window for individual client from java console can i do the same with comcell console without creating the server group

Good morning,When browsing databases, protect->databases->Databases tab up top.  I’m filtering for Type= SQL server.  It’s displaying SQL server, Postgres, and MariaDB as well.  Has anyone seen this behavior?  Seems like a bug.  We are on 11.30.36.Thank you

We're running FR30.43 and a customer asked us if there are ways to improve backup/recovery performance of a Windows File Server cluster based on Windows Storage Spaces Direct. Our customers manage everything via Command Center and have to access to the CommCell console. From the CommCell console there are/were several ways that allowed you to improve backup/restore performance:Enable the option "Allow multiple data readers within a drive or mount point" Increase data readers Spread contents over multiple subclientsBesides the last one mentioned the other two mentioned cannot be set/tweaked when you use protection plans. So, my questions is what is the default behaviour when using plans and what options can you implement that improve backup/recovery performance for large file servers. 

one of our client need test the one of the backup in every month to make sure that they have a working backup copy , is there anyway we can automate this process where each month end, it trigger a restore operation to using live mount and does the testing and delete it ,and send a report to team, is it achievable using workflow , can anyone help how can i build

is it included in the commvault oracle backup phase , or if a customer want to export and backup this is there anyway to be done it with commvault , instead of backing up the  dumb saved location 

Hi, in the advanced restore options in BOL.https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/34600_restoring_sql_server_data_with_exclusive_database_access_option.html It says : Restore of database fails if exclusive access to database cannot be obtained. In such scenarios use the Drop Connections to Database option to drop all existing connections to the database. By default this option is set to false. But at my customer this option is enabled by default ! Where can you change this to OFF by default ? Thank you,

I have an Oracle Linux 7.9 system that was configured with 1 touch and ive done a BMR on different hardware (same configuration) with a new IP and hostname and also selected the option to clone.  The one touch restore/clone went well on the other server however, a full 1 touch back up on the original is now throwing an error and Im unsure what I can do the rectify the issue.The specific message I receive is:Error Code: [6:966]Description: System state backup failed : [Failed to create a tar archive containing /tmp/initrd.img /boot/vmlinuz-5.4.17-2102.201.3.el7uek.x86_64 /tmp/ARCH /tmp/binfmt /tmp/ver ]Source: Hostname, Process: sr when i look at the server, initrd.img doesnt exist in /tmp.  Neither do the subfolders /ver or ARCHIve tried to reinstall/repair the client on the original machine, but it has not helped.  Any ideas what i can do to get a full backup of the original machine as its still in production and has had some chanages that need to be backed up.TIA for any help!
