Team,We had an issue with application today when started file-system backup for directory mounted on host. The underlying storage for that directory is an NFS export .We started fil-system backup of specific directory from commvault through an on-demand sub client and observed that log files are started converting to .gz format .Is this something expected behavior when CV backups up lot of small log/bin files with underlying storage as NFS ?  Should i not take file-system backup for NFS through unix idataagent ? Hi all, after applying new license for Azure, there are failing backups with the error - Enterprise backup capacity license is required to run jobs. (For Oracle and VM clients). Before uploading the license there were no such errors.To run the backup it is needed to manually release-reconfigure the client after each backup.Is it possible that new license could somehow overwrite the previous/default one?Is it good idea to reapply the old licence and than investigate why new license is making problems? Cheers!

Hello Guys,  At the beginning, I would like to say that I wanted to escalate this case to the Commvault suppot, but I do not know if it will not be closed due to the specific behavior of the Commvault system and possible problems with the Oracle database itself. Jobs performed from CommCell Console finish without errors, but errors appear at the Oracle database level. Oracle 11.2.0.4 database on a linux server (Oracle Linux Enterprise 7.9) in the Oracle Grid 18.3 Standalone environment. There were two problems: Restore an Oracle backup to disk (image_001.png)The restore job is running correctly and Commvault saves files to the location specified during the job configuration. hi, Someone knows in which logfile the start of atuomatic schedules is being logged? I mean: we have machines with automatic schedules active (every X minutes, but also based on size),  but the automatic schedule isn’t working anymore [was working before]. I wonder in what logfile that should be logged?

Hi, In Command Center I have created an Office 365 app for SharePoint backup. I left basically everything default and configured 10 Azure Apps and 10 Service Accounts for backup.The backup, although very slowly, runs. Schedule is default (daily 9PM), I created 1 Office Plan and 1 Server Plan However, I notice the backup uses only 1 stream. What can I do to make the SharePoint backup automatically use more streams, or how can I divide the SharePoint sites (5000+) in something that would be similar to the SubClients in the CommCell Console? Again, I have not used the CommCell Console, only Command Center,Thanks!

I have 2 mailboxes that are consistently failing.  I have run the backup individually on them and they have both failed and the logs are showing the following error.  Failed to process mailbox. Error message [The server cannot service this request right now. Try again later.]]  Any ideas? Thanks

Right now the synthetic full backup on CIFS Share backup with IntelliSnap is not supported. Any way that this can be enabled? 

I just had to have my NVME card replaced and now I need to build a new vg and lvm’s for ddb & indexcache. Is anyone aware of a file under /opt/commvault that may show me how those were created by the install scripts?

Hello,We did notice that when we login to web console and when we click Command Centre we got all blank page. We did try to restart Commvault cell even all server, but still was unable to see it. I did opened the case and hope the support will find what is a problem.Regards,

Hi Fellas,I have some questions about the Splunk’ s data backup. According to the documentation Commvault can take backup Splunk Indexes. But the Splunk has some specials files called “hot buckets, warm buckets, cold buckets, frozen buckets”. Our data aging jobs are not completing correctly.  all indications are it’s Oracle but has anyone got any advice about what to ask.Apologies am a newbie here.

I am delegating access to my DBA group so that they can manage their own clients, including pushing agents from the Commserve.  I’ve granted their role access to:  However when these users open up their Commcell GUI, the “Install Software” button (under the Tools menu item) is not there.  If they log in to the web (admin) console - they *can* push the agent that way.  But we would much prefer for them to be able to manage everything from the same location (i.e. the commcell GUI) rather than flip back and forth.  Is there some other permission that I’m missing?
