is possible to deploy active active at CommServe level or required MS Clustering and if MS Clustering is required more license for node 2 ?

Hello guys, The client would like to perform delegation of some mailboxes from the admin level.However, when we try the following procedure, we cannot see the 'Exchange' entry under 'Protection / Applications' section. https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/essential/107643_delegating_mailbox_or_folder_using_exchange_mailbox.html  The Exchange Mailbox agent is properly configured in the CommCell Console.CommServe is running 11.25.x My question is, is there any way to migrate Exchange Mailbox settings from CommCell Console to Command Center? Rgds,Kamil

As maybe know the last day’s a lot of actions needs to performed regarding the Log4j vulnerbility. Is this also been used in the Commvault software?If so is there a patch/fix upcoming?  

Hi All, we are looking for an easy way to check, if a Hotfix provided from support is included in the upcoming MR Release.In the past we could compare the numbers, but something changed and now the numbers doesn’t match anymore.Currently we want to check if the v11SP24_Available_Diag3055-Hotfix already made it into the MR 16But the Number doesn’t match anything from thelisted https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/assets/service_pack/updates/11_24_16.htm,Anybody knows, who to translate the Diag-Patch Numbers?Or do we have to create a Ticket with Support to get it checked?

I started looking at the MFA on Command Centre and baffled as it is flawed. If my domain account has been compromised, I would be expecting the second factor to be the 2nd line of defence. But no, you can request a new pin that gets sent to your compromised domain account e-mail address. I then looked to see if I can amend my account by adding an external e-mail address, but LDAP pulls this from the domain and can not be edited. By editing the e-mail script we can omit the pin, but I think this hasn’t been thought through by Commvault, considering that backups are supposed to be the last line of defence against a cyber attack the two factor serves only to delay the time it takes for SMTP to deliver a new pin.

For Windows File System backups, 2 System State filters are being deprecated in 11.21:{One touch files} {Offline files}These are being deprecated going forward since filtering these items will limit the ability to perform One Touch Restores.  Going forward, these filters cannot be added, though existing filters will be honored.Please note that if these filters were added as a workaround and are removed, they cannot be re-added.  If errors arise as a result, please create a new discussion, or comment below.

Hi,Do we have an option to deploy HyperScale 1.5 on an environment without DNS? I have CS 11.24 on a cm and deploying 3node CV HS 1.5. I already set the Data & Storage n/w (10Gig bonded), but got stuck at below stage. It do not allow unless you don’t enter a dns? Is there a way to accomplish it? 

Hello guys.we have AIX Nodes we are taking backup from some directories, these directories contains millions of files so we are using weekly synthetic full and daily incrementali got a restore request on a day which an incremental backup was performed so i browsed the job and found no items i checked the size of the backup job and it was 613 kb. backup job status was completed and no errorsand i have checked the synthetic full job which was after this incremental and i found it contains old data no new files was found with the recent day! i know that synthetic full jobs does combine the set of inc jobs to create the full synthtic job then get the delta from the client itself can someone clarify to me if im wrong and explain this behaviour.  thanks

Hi,I’m looking for a document explaining the meaning of Commcell client icons since I’m installing the FileSystem agent as restore-only in two clients in my infrastructure and one of them appears in the list with a penguin icon greyed out with a green arrow pointing downward in the top left corner of the icon, while the other only with the penguin icon greyed out.I was guessing what was the difference between them and if there was a list explaining the icons in commcell console.Thanks!

Hi,I notice that the auxiliary copy do copy random backup data (I’m not sure how it select the data to be copy first). So if the copy is delay, some of the data that from earliest date still haven’t copy but some of the data from latest do get copied. This basically effect the retention of my primary copy. Also effect my offsite copy for DR purposes.Is there any setting that can be use to make data from earliest is being copy first? regards,Fauzi

I would like to ask some opinion on this option.   Upon the request of our Oracle DBAs in our small company we are disabling the Archive deletionwithin the Oracle database backup. We will let our Oracle DBAs manage the Archive logs including the deletionI would like some opinion/points on this before we even proceed.   I am not an Expert in Oracle and would like some advice Any help is appreciated

Hello everyone,I’m backing up a MS SQL Server, and a DBA asked me to disable the maxtransfersize of the backups.Taking a look at the configurations of the Subclient I found the option to disable the log consistency check, and I checked the box as you can see in the screenshot below:My question is with this box checked, the maxtransfersize will be disabled too? Or do I need make anything else to disable it? Thanks, 

anyone give me a quick idiots guide to configuring a backup of an azure blob storage account from start to finish. I have an onsite commvault hyperscale configuration with 2 media agents in azure. I believe  i need to install the cloud apps software onto a host but should this be on one of the media agents in azure ? Tried following the guide and can follow bits of it but could do with a single list of steps do this then do that and so on ...

Hi All, Our customer scanned 8403 on our Media Agents and detected that these ‘prohibited’ protocols are in place and causing alerts on their end.Is it possible to disable all except TLS 1.2?Many thanks in advance.
