Raw device backup and restore was successful for file system but validation is failing. Please find the error. An unrecoverable errors found on the same device.File system state is not clean for one of the file system, state is "clean with errors"

we are already taking a file server backup , now we enabled file server archive with archive plan do we need to run both plan or archive jobs will serve the purpose ?  

Happy New Year! We have recently offloaded the share job results folder for Office365 clients from one of our two Office365 Proxies to a shared storage in order to free up space on the proxy. All seems to work well since the move. I am now trying to delete the old folders from the proxy. Windows looks like it’s deleting the content but all is still there after the deletion.I suspect it might be the Commvault ransomware protection that prevents me, even though these content is not anymore configured in Commvault. How can I remove this obsolete content? Thank you,Zoltan

Hi teams, Have a good day, I needed a help. One of my clients has a backup issue related to indexing. I have also taken help from support but the issue has not been resolved, maybe the experiment is going on. If I delete the data from the problem job and then take a new backup, will it be ok? This is an issue of 20 days jobs. ThanksAmol

We are taking the backup for CIFS share (Netapp) by Commvault NDMP protocol. Need to know , whether NDMP uses file level backup or Block level backup .Because we are running robocopy for the CIFs share with Archive bit clear option to copy data manaully from CIFS share to other location . Does this have any impact for the current commvault backup for the cifs share . BR Sudhir T 

Full scale test instance of Commvault before deploying into production. Getting issues with viewing the contents of Hypervisor VM Groups, changing configuration of VM groups and some items using “view details” on the health report.“Default” Hypervisor VM Groups were created upon adding the hypervisors and the content left at the default / or all unprotected VM’s. Immediately upon creating the groups it is not possible to view the content tab without getting the detail flash very quickly on screen before displaying “something went wrong”. Also cannot change anything in the options section of the VM Group configuration page without “something went wrong”. I have deployed several instances of Commvault for test and this has happened on all instances. I have tried running the install again in repair mode and it does not resolve the issue. Note it is possible to view the content by looking at protected and unprotected VM’s but cant’ modify content from that page. Also issues with the “view

Hi, there seems to be a recent change, you now need to request to access/download the DR-sets.I can see some of the pros and cons, maybe you can tell us a little bit more about the reason and the process, the request is taking on the commvault side.I tried a testrun on friday, requested the download at 7:48 am (CEST) and got the request approved after 8h (at 3:32 pm (CEST).Also the request was sent to the mail-address of the account holder.If there was a real Disaster, i would have had to raise a ticket and hopefully could get the DR-Set faster, but that is another thing you need to do, and if you need the DR-Set, you will have your hands full.To improve the process, I would like to suggest the following additions:1.) Give a timeframe, how long the request will take. At the moment, there is no information and it would be good to get a timeframe. In a Restore-Test or other none vital operation, the 8h response time can be worked around.2.) Lets give us the option to add another Mail-Add

Hi, I see that the stream count is defaulted to 2. But I also read the all restores are single streamed except for a few iDAs. And oracle iDA is not one of them. Regards,Pedro

After I made changes to any standard dashboard(ex: /commandcenter/#/dashboard/commcell) - it becomes inaccessible: “Something went wrong. Server may be under maintenance.”The same if I create a clone of the current one.How to fix or reset dashboards to default?    

Hello, Hope someone can help me understand the OneDrive Active vs Inactive data. Not so long ago, we migrated our users over to Microsoft O365, and activated backup of Exchange Online, OneDrive, sharepoint and Teams.  For OneDrive vi had about 23TB of data for about 22.5K users.   And under Protect > Office365 we could see the “Backup Size” and same with a Dashboard element showing top 5 largest servers.   OneDrive was one of our largest servers.   But about two weeks ago the OneDrive storage dropped from almost 24TB and down to 2.52TB. When i go to OneDrive in Commandcenter and look at “Details” under Backup Stats, i can see that Active size is 2.52TB and Innactive is 21.94TB.  From the Microsoft 365 admin console i can see no problems.  So my question is regarding the Active and Inactive data.   Might this be that the 2.52TB is data that has been changed since the last backup, and inactive is old unchanged data?  Or is it that the inactive data is actual data commvault think has b

Background:I see a single job running in a “Waiting” state that has this as the reason for waiting: “All device streams configured to this Storage Policy including their multiplexing factor are in use. Advice: Please check the jobs currently running to this Storage Policy. Current job will run once a stream becomes available.”Doing some searching: The CommVault docs go into an in depth of what streams are, how to set the maximum allowed streams (at several levels/areas, like at the storage policy level) and all I see of ‘other jobs using this storage policy’ is a single running job claiming to be using 10 readers. The storage policy is configured to use 70 streams, the job stuck in waiting is set to use 8… I’m not sure why there are not 60 streams available….but it got me wondering: Question: is there a way to determine (like with a query or a report not manually clicking on each subclient or going through a gigantic report and manually summing up stream counts by hand) how many stream

I am  backing up a Mongo database that is part of a replica set using  bigdata agent and intelisnap. I have two nodes on site, and one node off site.Can I set preferences for what nodes are used during the backup, currently it looks like all nodes are used. 

Maybe someone in here can help out and straighten out the Plans part for me.The below is going to one stg policy. Several clients schedules attached.How would that pain out if done in a “Plan”How many Plans, backup destinations and so on required?I am not all aboard on plans since I’ve been using the “old” way for the last 10 years.  Thanks for any enlightment//Henke

Hello, I've noticed that in several situations, when somethings is done through the Commcell console, there is lag until that reflects in the Command Center pane.Why?Is there a way to speed up this and have the information in Command center refreshed?Example: delete a few jobs from SP. Command center disk lib usage does not reflect the change in disk usage. Commcell does. Regards,Pedro

helloin my enviroment we have many share with more than 10 milions files and directory to backup.It is normal that in the access nodes the ifind process can consume more than 20 GB of ram ?There is indication about the relation between number of directories and files and memory usage of ifind ?thanks in advance

Hello, Every time I run a Maintenance Failover, I receive the "CommServe Time Shift Detected !" alert. Detected a change in the system time, it is now forwarded by 30 days 22 hours 32 minutes 10 seconds. But there's no time shift between the active and standby Commserve servers… Regards,Pedro

Hello ; I have 2 Mysql Cluster running on the same version “8.0.20” and check configuration have been applied to both clusters and everything is fine. Check readiness is ok for both clusters. Also, FS backups for both clusters were fine, and FS our of place restore between both clusters. The issue in restoring the DB from one cluster to the second one is that the restore is starting and there has been no progress on both DBs cluster and everything is fine and check readiness is ok for both also FS Backup for both clusters were fine, also FS our of place restore between both cluster , the issue in restoring DB from one cluster to the second one, the restore starting and no progress on the job since job started and no data moved but the DB created on Mysql end but there is no progress from commcell side and job last time update was the same as the time of start job ?Commv. version 11.30.48.
