Hello GuysI’m trying to Restore an Active Directory Object.Following this documentation: https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/105744_objects_not_restored_in_place_using_active_directory_application.htmlNeed to change the value of UPDATE PRIVILEGE.How is this change in value accomplished?  

I have a list of many users to restore and would prefer not to have to go click happy to restore the users.Ideally something simple like powershell and a foreach loop for the usernames.The rest api would work to but I saw no reference in any of the tools to restore AD Objects? Please Advise.

Hello everyone, We are creating a Server Backup Plan in CommandCenter that creates a plan and backup destination (storage pools for primary copy and secondary copy) and schedules. We select the schedule for full and incremental and plan creation completes successfully. We can copy the API code of the above tasks and see the JSON file that creates then we programmatically create backup plans in batch via PowerShell. When we review the schedule in Java client. We see that it creates Synthetic Full schedule as well but this is not visible in commandcenter. We cannot use Synthetic Full in our environment due to storage limitation.What do we need to add o

Hi All, short question. We are using VSA for hyper-v in some jobs some vms are reporting failed to create production checkpoint but the hole job is shown as completed without errors.  is there an way to change that ? We would like to see this jobs as completed with errors in the jobsum report and not as completed. thanks

Hi guys,I have a tape (ultrium-v7 LTO7) that stuck in a drive of my tape library (HPE StoreEver MSL6480). The drive will be replacing, but there’s no way I could get the tape out. The tape has some data in it. So, my question is can I copy the data in that tape to another tape?Version: 11.28.44

Hi Team, 6 storage acc which we are using for backups it comes under compliance. TLS version need to change from 1 to 1.2 and Allow Blob public access need to be disabled. They need our confirmation to do these changes and they ask us to check after doing this will it affects to backups? 4 are ZRS and 2 are GRS.Can you please check and let me know.

Dear Team, I have question about aux copy moving. My daily aux copy size on all storage policies around 1 TB but we have 60mbps peer to peer link primary site to DR site. It's not enough to transfer that size of data daily. There for we have created backlog of data daily.   This time we cannot increase link. Do we have any method to copy the data to the DR site using a disk on a weekly basis from the commvault side?(I am talking about a method of storing the data for a week in a disk in the primary site and taking it to the DR site once a week and copying it to the DR disk) Please help me to figure out these.

hi all.i got fresh commvault install 11.28 (2022e)by default i see that i have index v2 for everything.setup hyper-v client and i cannot see option to “collect file details” in subclient properties of virtual server in comcell console.found option “Index files after backup” in web command center “Protect” → ‘Virtualization” → “VM Groups”. where VM groups = subclient in comcell console.is this the new and the only way to enable this in command center? no more option in comcell?  

Hello,I was changing the permissions of a user in Commvault threw an Active Directory group. I was wondering how long it will take to synchronize from AD to CV and if I can change the sync time or start a push from Commvault to immediately start the sync.Thanks

Commvault 11.30.25HyperV 2016 & 2019 Until recent, we received the windows system event 153 when Commvault backed up our virtual domain controllers.153 = The IO operation at logical block address 0x95e8e70 for Disk 5 (PDO name: \Device\0000054c) was retried.The device id would change per event. The disk counter would always be one or two higher than the actual disk count on the machine.The Commvault log confirms that disk 5 (in this case) is being used for mounting a VM snapshot. It seems that when Commvault dismounts the VSS snapshot, Windows isn’t quite up to date yet when monitoring some IO. I never understood exactly what the problem was or why it only showed up for those machines. However, from the beginning of this week, we’re seeing a lot more of these events, i haven’t counted them out yet, but there are enough that it might be one or more for every VM. So this needs to be solved, because

I have emailed to license@commvault.com requesting for a new license however i have not receive a reply yet. I am thinking of attempting the creation of a powerbi data connector, and I just wanted to know if anyone has done it already. The process doesn’t look hard but it doesn’t look easy.  I have been doing powerbi transforms on CommVault reports and it’s a huge hassle. So I was thinking if I made a connector it would just make it easier.I am a powerbi novice so I may be going about this entirely the wrong way. Thanks.Chris.

HiWe have different subclients marked as Plus or Basic - all depending om retention.Some of the basic subclient don’t have any servers (at this time) so the jobs are marked as failed. Is there any option to get this job marked at completed with errors / completed - or don’t run the job when there is no vm’s

Hello, I am an engineer working in Korea.I am working on one project.In the configuration of the customer, the backup server and the MYSQL server are connected by SAN zoning.The MYSQL server and NetApp Storage are connected by San zoning.The MYSQL server is an MA (Media agent) server.After configuring the array, the proxy server was assigned to MYSQL, and the array access node was assigned to the backup server and MYSQL server.But it says snap is not created.If any of you have had an experience like this, please ask for help.

Hello,Can we configure selective copies to use same Global Deduplication?Let’s say we’ve 5 storage policies hence 5 selective copies, can this newly created global dedup be used for all these copies?
