Hi,Is there a way to encrypt the certificate password for the certificate used by the Tomcat server in server.xml so that it’s not in clear text. 

I created a tag set in order to be able to create groups based their tag value, is this possible? I cannot seem to see a way to do it.Clearly I am not getting the logic behind the tagging system.

Hi,I want to do a Full System Restore using a FileSystem backup of a Windows server. Can this be done using Command Center? I don't find the options there that I have in the CommCell Console, like “Type of Intended Restore” (Full Virtual Machine), In Place yes / no and others. It's an Azure VM, but we have a reason to use the FS Agent for backup.Probably I am overlooking something.Thanks!

We are currently testing how we want to redesign our environment. We have started to use "Companies" in our test environment to provide a self-service portal for customers. All this has worked quite well so far. All that is missing now is the assignment of the VM's from the vCenter to the Companies. We have set up a tag in our vcenter called DBA. We also created the same tag in the Command Center under Manage -> Tags. We also used the Tag function in the subclient to include the VM in the backup. It did not work so far that the VM is automatically assigned to the Company.Have we made another mistake here?Kind RegardsThomas

Hello, I have some issue with restoring sql DB to another VM, the issue is that it take to long sometimes almost 1 day for 2.9TB. The sql back used 4 stream and using 5 streams for restore. Hier are some logs for the restore which still running Any idee why its taking so long?

Hi We have Commserver running on HP G10 server with 32 GB RAM, the Commserver componetnts are installed on server are CommServe, Web Server and Web console and  Command Center. as per screen shot attached the memory utilizaton is 80% and most of utilize by Appache serviceCommvault version is 11.28.24 Thanks

I recently worked on a project which was an implementation of workflows for deleted backup jobs and polices that require email approval. The workflow works in a way that any backup job deletion, for example, requires approval before the actual deletion can occur. The CV admin would delete the jobs and then an email is sent out to all the users configured as approvers and once approved the phase would move on to delete the jobs or not if denied.The question was is there any way to get an audit report of who requested, who approved and what was done? 

Hi!We’re currently testing in our Dev environment with Sharepoint Subscription Edition. I’ve configured it like i normally do, and when i do a “Validate Account” it says everything is fine. However, when i tested doing a full DB backup, it “Completed with errors”. So i did a little bit of digging, and found out that there are a lot (~15) of service-accounts in use for this sharepoint installation, so just for testing purposes, i added all service-accounts with access to the Job results and Log Files directories, and then the backup completed successfully.So, it seems to me that there needs to be more accounts that needs to be given access to those folders. So i started doing some more testing, by removing 1 account at a time, but i ran into an issue where it seems some of the account/account-info is cached, because the job would fail, and i would add the account back again, and it would still fail for the next couple of times,

i checked Backup History. but backup display is [VM Admin Job(Backup)] It used to be marked as a backup, why display VM Admin Job??  When i View media on VM Admin Job I can't see where the media is backed up.

Management has found the CommVault Cleanup Report and is reviewing it monthly to ensure I’m looking after CommVault properly.  One of the sections shows the Disabled Subclients which contains 39 entries, 29 of which are “default”.  When I go in through the java GUI, there’s no option to delete these even though there are no backups and they are not part of a schedule.Question:  Is there a way to delete the “default” sublcient?KenP.S.  The client doesn’t have a Plan within the command center nor does the default subclient.

If I needed to have more disk storage pools (in order to have more storage policy copies with different retention), I would need to have more deduplication engines. Is it possible to create multiple deduplication engines within one disk drive? Are there any limitation for the number of deduplication engines on one disk drive? Thanks in advance for your engagement!
