Hi, i would like to remove all copy that going into drcommvault from all storage policy (Image Attached). Is there any proper step before deleting it to avoid any issue later on.

Hi @all, maybe this is a very easy question, but I didn’t found the solution for it.It’s about Windows Clients (File System) and Windows Cluster (File System).In the CommCell console from a cluster perspective, it is very easy to find out, which servers belong to it (right-click on “Properties” → “Advanced” → check tab “Cluster Group Configuration”). But what is the procedere to find out, if a specific client is member of any cluster? Many thanks in advance! BRJan

I want to classify certain subclients in a Virtualization client using tagI see that we can add tags at subclient levelFor ex: certain subclients would belong to Application : Group Asome are in Group B, some are in Group C  With this I want to run Backup summary report using that tags, there will be 3 reports each for Group A, B and C I don’t see an option to achieve this I’m not able to segregate/ select subclients in report using subclient tags. Also while creating client computer group , we can have automatic mapping with criteria Clients with tagsbut there is no option to create a group with subclients with tags

Just a question, We busy in the process in configuring backups for office 365, exchange online to particular and i see i am getting this error in the Logs when it tries to scan for mailboxes. “ Failed to get Oauth2.0 token for powershell”. We also configured for onedrive and sharepoint and those seem to be working 100%. We on Version: 11.24.34

Hello community!I’m running into issue with AuxCopy job for one of my Plans in Commvault.This job is a selective secondary copy, which should copy weekly friday fulls into Qnap repository.The destination library is a Qnap library, which was added using uncpath (\\qnap.dns.name\commvault\) and dedicated user with full access permissions for this share.I have configured a MCSS Cloud library also, and create the same secondary selective copy, with the same configuration - and for cloud storage everything is working fine.Qnap firmware is the newest possible (we have updated it few days ago, believing this would solve the problem). We also disconnected every other shares from QNAP (now it is dedicated storage for commvault, for keeping additional copies of backup).The job ends in copy as Partially Copied, when I manually run another AuxCopy job it actually completes without any issues and make a copy job status as “Available”- but it’s not a solution to run an additional aux copy job manual

Hello, The Incremental backup runs log over the weekend causing the Synthetic backup to fail to start.  How do I set the Synthetic backup to queue until the incremental backup completes?  Thank you.

Hi our security team are complaining about microsoft.net core 2* eol installed on our cs server.We have now upgraded our cs environment to sp11.24 which should switch over to microsoft.net core 3*. So what i wonder is if its safe to uninstall the old microsoft.net 2* versions?

Hi there,in our case it is not possible to import tapes back from the outside location to the library. It seems, that Commvault is not aware of putting tapes to I/E ports. Is there any setting, that handles importing of the tapes? Indeed, it is strange, because opposite direction - when exporting the tapes to the outside location via I/E is working fine. On the tape library we can see that a tape was put to I/E slot to be imported, but Commvault cant recognize it. All tries were done with empty tapes.Do you have any idea how to investigate the issue further? 

Wanted to upgrade software to newest one. Many MediaAgents and Windows Servers installed it sucessfully, just one server of them not. I always get this error:Error Code: [68:514]Description: Install/Upgrade job failed as installer could not execute WMI query. Please fix the WMI and resubmit the jobSource: vie50, Process: DistributeSoftwareGoogle did not help me at all, perhaps some of you know this problem? Is there really a problem with the WMI of this server, never had any problems though. Thanks!

Hello Commvault Community, I would like to understand how the SLA status logic works and possible changes for the days criterion in the Plan. We noticed that when the SLA Status is set to 30 days, for example, the virtual machines have a "Met" status, but if we change the days criterion to a different one, the SLA Status for each of the virtual machines changes to "Excluded". Initially, even when returning to the previous setting of 30 days, the SLA Status still indicated "Excluded", but we assumed that it must reload and in fact after 24 hours the status changed to "Met".By way of further tests, we changed the days criterion to 37 days and after 24 hours, the SLA Status for virtual machines is still "Excluded". I want to understand how the whole mechanism works and according to what rules, because I didn’t find a direct answer to these questions in the Commvault documentation. Screenshots in the attachment showing the SLA status 24 hours after changing the days criterion. If we change

Hi, I ve noticed one thing about index server ports. The customer reported me that one of his index servers not working. He has two instances of index server. Instance001 is using port 20010, Instance002 is using 20000. Instance001 service didn’t start. I ve noticed that process of instance002 datacube.exe is listening on that port. There is also 20000 port used for datacube.exe process for instance002 - that’s correct.So I am assuming that index server is also using some dynamic ports. When I ve stopped instance002 then I was able to start instance001, then  restarted instanced002. After that both instances were running: instance001 was using port 20010 - correct, instance002 was using 20000 -correct and 20020. I didn’t find anything about that in documentation. Looks like sometimes it needs additional ports and it checks if its free. If not it check portnumber+10 etc. I am not sure about that. Is it possible to set up range of ports for index server? Regards,Lukasz

Hi,I am using the commvault tool first time and I have added my window machine in commcell, now I am going to install the agent on that machine but getting the below error, Failed to install Base Package. Failed to access the remote registry. I am using Windows 10 OS there is no AD this system on the workgroup network and the machine was on the Azure portal.username is: workgroup\commvault For more information please find the screenshotAlso how I can download agent software from commcell and install it manually on window and Linux machine

Good day allI guess this question is two-fold and I’ve not really been able to find a way this can be done using a Plan.We’re running SQL Plans that backup the DB’s in the traditional Full/Diff/TLOG format.We have 1 SQL instance that mustn’t have it’s TLOGS backed up. My assumption is that it would need to go into it’s own Plan with TLOG slider switched off?The second portion to this same instance is that the backups of the various DB’s don’t happen at the same time due to their size?Is it possible to configure an instance that a DB will not start backing up until the prior one is complete and they keep cascading in this manner.I understand you could create multiple sub-clients within each instance and assign different schedules. However, this would potentially mean that if a DB finishes sooner than the next one is scheduled to start, there’s an unused portion of the backup window. Conversely if one schedule overruns into the next, then we have 2 jobs running which we’re trying to avoi
