how to identify whether SQL plug-in (CvSQLAddInConfig.exe) is configured or not, without login and checking from SSMS on servers ? 

Hi I have started to work with a new customer, and this customer are using Commvault LiveSync, and one thing that are making my attention, and there for this questions.  When looking into the client group “CVLiveSync”, I can see mutiple groups with or without clients inside. I can of course see the client group called “CVLiveSync”, that have the active and passive node.But I can also see other client groups, that have normal Commvault Clients inside.  Is that normal for the client group “CVLiveSync”, that you put also normal Commvault clients into this client group? I would except that this client group “CVLiveSync” would only contain one group only contain the active and passive node. Or am I wrong here? Thanks in advance! 

Hello all,we had to delete some mountpathes a few weeks ago without problems. Now we get some jobs “DeleteMountPathAuthorization”, but the pathes are deleted already. Is there a way to get rid of these jobs? After killing the jobs we get the jobs queued again after a while. Thank you.

Hello all,maybe you can help me!?The following situation at the customer:Linux system with HANA DB (all HANA specific filesystems connected via NFS)the customer has one IP for the host and one VIP (+DNS) for HANA (same subnet). The idea is that he can move the HANA system to a stronger host at any time without having to change anything in the HANA configuration (hence NFS).How do I manage to add the system 2 times in Commvault (1 x under its real host name for OS backups and 1 x as virtual system with the VIP and the HANA DB name (DNS entry for the VIP) for all HANA specific connections? So far Commvault takes sometimes one and sometimes the other IP as primary IP when I create the client and when I want to include the other one I fail. Under Dataprotector this was easy, because there was the possibility to enter a virtual host. Hi! I wanted to test out the hardened Commvault image available to download from the storehttps://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/#!/130/704/20288 I have downloaded the ova and deployed it to VMware environment. During deployment I have specified new hostname and password, but I cannot login to the VM because the password I set don’t work. The hostname is changed only after a manual reboot but password is not working.OVA deployment is pretty straight-forward and it is something I am rather familiar with, but I cannot get this to work. I’m wondering if anyone has similar experience or am I missing something?

Hello, I am still trying to configure vaul tracker policy but I did not succeed. The goal is to export tapes automatically and receive a report with vault tracker reporting. I followed this steps, are these the correct steps ? create the locations create the copy to tape policy create the schedule to run the copy to tape (last day of the month) (I’ll do it later) create a vault tracker policy create schedule to run the vault tracker policy to export tapes.  (I’ll do it later) Here is the detailed steps  : created two locations : transit and Stationary I Created a new copy to tape policy (the copy will be scheduled at the end of the month)

Hello friends,I need help for some time now my commvault had an error in the nCVDPORT record it automatically changed the port 8400 to 100, with that it was generating some failures, to carry out a troubleshooting we changed the permissions of this record of the session folder so that no one could change and we restarted the commvault services, from then on the services did not go up again even returning all the permissions in the attachment follows the error log, it was tried in several ways to return the commvault services until trying to run a DR on another server, but also verified that the DR it was not 100% functional not finishing the installation. Hello,I have this use case I would like to discuss:Our customer has Oracle databases on AIX (all combinations - RAC/no RAC, ASM/Filesystem).They would like to implement forever incremental backups (especially for the larger databases - about 100TB).We have implemented this before (another customer) but only with Oracle RAC ASM on Linux…Since there are more combinations here and a different OS, I would like to confirm the following:Will it be supported? Hi All, today i saw in one enviroment with the following setup: Each Oracle Server has 3 Subclients: Archivelog, Default, Selective and the jobs goes to  1 Disk Library2 Sync Tape3 Selective Tape We had oracle Subclients which takes Daily Full and hourly archive log backup and monthly selective.  I Checked the jobs in the Selective Tape Copy and i find for each month double Jobs. The normal daily full was written to the selective copy and also the selective copy was written. Is this normal ? Becasue than we did not need the selöective subclient any more.  My standig was that only selctive db backups can copy to the selective copy.
