Hello everyone,I have a situation that I couldn't find in the documentation and in community here in how this could be done properly.We have a attached disk as DAS in the Media Agent and we have the need to move all the backups of the VMs to another place which will be a Cloud Storage.Is it possible to move all the backup data and after this change the subclients to this new Storage that we need as well?(Sorry for my bad english, btw ).

Newbie Alert! Hello Everyone I am new to Commvault I took over an environment which has more than 200 storage policies. These policies were created as a result of plans created using command center. We have more than 2000 VMs and 200+ filesystem clients and Databases. I was wondering how should I approach the cleanup. Is it a good idea to use plans for larger environments, because as a result of single plan there are multiple configurations created automatically.  Thank You

Hello,  In Commvault 11.20 Commcell I have a number of hosts that have user files and folders located on OneDrive attached as a contents of drive C:. As a result of backup job I face the following messages  [C:\Users\user1\dir1\subdir1\file1.pptx] [0x18B 395] Access to the cloud file is denied.[C:\Users\user1\dir1\subdir2\file2.pptx] [0x18B 395] Access to the cloud file is denied.etc.  Is there an elegant way to filter these OneDrive content out?  

We started using Active later last year, ( Amazing for those who have not deployed this yet) and while the file system projects are useful and abundant, I am wanting to add our exchange servers. Does anyone know if you can use just the DB of the exchange server ? or does each mailbox have to be collected within commvault for the crawl/scan to work? 

Hi fellas,I want to backup all Office files on Laptop Clients. I added %Office% as Content but I saw that it backed up all txt files, xml files, acl files etc.. What should Content be to backup all Office files?  Best Regards.

Hello, this might not be enough info but I’m trying to restore a VM and keep getting this errorError Code: [91:32]Description: Unable to register virtual machine [SERVER]. Possible reason includes datastore was not mounted correctly.Source: CVMA01, Process: CVDLater these errors only occur: Error Code: [32:392]Description: Volume Operation in Progress : [One or more volumes are being processed by other operation. VolumeId [543702]]Source: CVMA01, Process: CVDI have the job log files but can’t really make sense of it. Its pretty much nothing but errors and fails.

Hello, I need to know the minimum permission to be able to see a server in a user webconsole please? I see “end user access” in a role’s permissions, but clicking it + view permission is not enough (and associating this role with the client) I can allow this access by setting the user as owner of the client, but is there a possibility through roles please? It would be more easy and efficient for me to manage it at this level. Thans in advance. Regards.

Hello Commvault Community,Referring to my previous topic which was marked as resolved. Link below.  The problem reappeared. There was single problem with the job, but it worked properly later. However, looking back to the past, this problem occurs cyclically all the time, for no major reason. This time it showed up with a specific error code. On June 3, an error occurred while generating the HealthCheck report. (screen 1-2). The problem was marked with error code 35:481 - the description is very general and does not indicate any particulars.I have reviewed the logs initially, but I cannot determine what the problem may be. Hi All, maybe you have an idea. We have the problem that all laptops and workstations are re imaged with sccm. So The clients get an new operating system. What happens in the commcell is that we get duplicate clients. new Clients are generated with name xxx____1 . When you check the backup history for both clients you can see that new clients are backuped to the new object. The problem is that the users cant access there old data. The strange part here is that not all clients with the new name xx____1 have the new backups. Hello Commvault Community :) I’m trying to set-up backup for GlusterFS. I have v11FR22 (11.22.17). On sub-client level I can do “discover” and I’m able “to see” GlusterFS resources, but I can not backup them. During backup I have error message: “glusterfind command could not be executed on host : [localhost] volume : [/mnt/gv06-sec/] due to error : [Function failed during execution. (ERROR_FUNCTION_FAILED.1627), glusterfind command failed. There wasn’t problem with it before, but it ended with a mistake twice. I analyzed the logs and there was only an error about connecting to the console. Hi Fellas, Sometimes I see CvDiagnostics.log under the Commvault log directory and it says that a lot of information about the server is collected in the log. CvDiagnostics ran once, maximizing server CPU and causing application interruption. Why is this process running automatically? Best Regards.

Hi all! Jobs related with storage policy, that backs up data directly to the tape (primary copy to the tape) start with failing error output No resources/ No Resource: AllocatedHowever, there should be enough tapes in the scratch pool. Nothing useful found in logs of the job.Do you have any ideas what could be wrong there?

ok, so I’m trying out activate - file storage optimization, with a tenant admin user.I gave the tenant admin the data controller permission on the index server & of course on activate.The tenant admin can create the plan just fine, but the ‘inventory’ part is a problem.If I click add inventory , I can fill in the name, I can select the index_server, but the name server...nothing is there in the drop down box (if I just press save without name server, nothing is being created.Any idea what I’m missing?
