Hi, Can we run content indexing/analyzer while doing an aux copy from tape to cloud OR if we can restore indices from tape media to local disk and gain access to file level analytics reports ?Well, i’m looking to move all tape data from on-prem (tape) aux-copy to S3 deep glacier archival for long term storage. Before moving the data, I need to get file level details so incase if we need to restore we have the details. (I would like to go direct to glacier due to the chunk size being larger and not stage it to on-prem or normal s3 bucket.) Another method/suggestion to index information post aux copy or reading from tape would be good to know.Thanks !

I’m a fan of the Console but I’m told it is no longer going to be supported. I’ve been instructed that I need to stop using the Console in favor of Command Center. Just a couple questions about that though.Do I need to recreate my configuration as Plans on the interface? I’m finding that my Console jobs are running, and I can manage the job, but I don’t seem to be able to make changes to things like policies.If I do setup plans and get everything going in the Command Center, will that override the Console settings? Do I need to do anything in the Console other than to stop using it?I’m also open to any suggestions, tips, etc. that you can provide.

Hi,Currently this is the only 2 options available for Agent types in our Restore job history.Seems there’s no option to select other agents unless you use the Java GUI built in reports.

All restore jobs would still need the old MA content Lib alive, which is we do not want it . So what ‘s the best way to move these Content to the new MA ?ThanksKent Old MA Lib New MA Lib 

Hi Vaulters, Regarding SAP HANA, we’ve got two sites, first one being replicating its SAP HANA to the second (using HANA replication). With commvault, how can we manage this type of scenario ? Do we only need to back up data in the first site, or do we need to implement another MA on the second site to back up the replicated data also ? It's more of a design concern. Any provided suggestion would be appreciated. Regards.

Hi,We will be adding 2 more expansion modules (160 slots and 16 LTO8 drives in total) for out tape library. I haven’t done this task before, so I wonder do I need to stop the Commvault service on all of my Media agents when I do the detect the new expansion modules with the Expert Storage Configuration? Thank you.

Hi,What are the plans for adding OS patches to the Commvault software repository? Same as hyperscale?i know there is a CMR for it for a while. We want to prevent that we need to redeploy the FREL’s each time or do manual actions on the FREL for regular basis. thanks

Hello  In Commvault, the available snap engines for HPE include HPE 3PAR, HPE EVA clone, and snap. HPE MSA is not listed among these supported engines. so question arises: Does the Commvault HPE IntelliSnap engine provide support for HPE MSA? if yes, which one need to select? thanks

Due to the lovely time of the year (which is all the time) we have auditors wanting to know every nook and cranny of Commvault. The current ones are wanting to know the full list of each specific process and Services that Commvault would be using on the client and media agent. I found this document <Click Here> inside the documentation which displays certain services and processes, but still missing a few like BlrSvc and CIMgrS. I just need to compile the name, if its a Commvault or OS process or service, and a brief description of what they do.  Is there something like that somewhere? 

Hi,We have a Domino 12.0.2FP1 server, what has succeed daily Notes database backups (Incremental, Full), but transactional backups failed with error: [CreateIndex index processing failed - no index archive files.]::Client [OST0VWMA02] Application [CreateIndex] Message Id [234881129] Error code [14:105]Our Commvault version is 11.28.56The Client and MA have enough free space on disks, MA was restarted. Transaction log backup running for seven hours, error messages are repeated. Uploaded logs are from a short trying, what was killed. But error messages can be seen.Most interesting part of the JobManager.log for me is: “ArchiveMgr Failed to get valid archive file.” and “Set pending cause [CreateIndex index processing failed - no index archive files.]”Can it be any Domino Server issue? Because it is an upgraded Domino server.We have an another Domino 12.0.2FP1 server, where tran log backups has no any issue.Does have anybody any idea?Thanks in advance.

Good Day Community,I have a customer that has been using Content Indexing for several years. Now we want to move to the newest Indexing methodology using the NEW Index Server.I know there is absolutely no migration path from one to another. But luckily, the customer has all the backup data sitting on disk. So my strategy is simply to re-index the data using the new methodology, in a new Index Server. I should end up having the same results doing a search since all the will be re-ingested.Is there something else I should be aware of? Or is this the best approach to achieve this?Many thanks in advance for your input.

Hi, I’m looking for some clarification on backup and retention of Onedrive version history. If I’ve understood the backup correctly it will only back up the latest version of an object at every run. As described https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/130942_backups_for_onedrive_for_business.htmlWhat is the reasoning for this limitation? Retention is configured to be kept for a certain time, say 6 months after deletion, how does this affect the version history? Is versions removed from retention 6 months after being overwritten by a new version, or are they removed when the last version of a file is removed?  Regards,John Robert

Hello, TeamI am having this issue when running backup on an oracle database.The backup runs but when it gets to about 80%, It throws an error and goes into pending state. What can be done to resolve this?See error below:  

i am trying to install commvault agent using push method from commcell console, but job fails with below error. i am using commvault version 11.32.23 with free licenseError Code: [68:574] Description: Required media version [11.32] with transaction Id [5494260] is missing in the Software Cache. CommServe may be installed with a lower version media. Please check the media in Software Cache and try updating the CommServe before updating clients.
