Hi,I want to collect or check how much capacity is consumed each client. is there any scripts or automated way rather than check every client’s job history?

During a routine check I found that Commvault is reporting many of our customers’ Teams azure apps are missing permission “ChannelMessage.Read.All”.I requested a couple of customers to check, and they are saying it’s not missing.Anyone else seeing the same? Know why?This is 11.28.63

Hello!Customer has this TL that is partitioned. There's a partition for Commvault. Originally it had 11 slots and some drives.Customer added 30 slots but they don't get recognized by Commault (and so the tapes on them).Full scan does not update the slot count.What must be done to recognize the new added slots?Regards,Pedro 

Running DB2 agent level backup, backup size is about 1.9TB. Four tablespace, one tablespace is about 1.2TB. First hour backup performance is good(about 250Mbps), Commvault is backing up the 4 tablespace in parallel. From 2nd hour, Commvault only backup the huge tablespace, backup performance is only 100Mbps with one session.How to backup one tablespace with multiple session? or any other way to improve backup performance?

Hello Everyone, I am looking for some advise based on your experience as there is no standard guidelines from Commvault. My customer has Large DB  between 2 TB-6 TB and is looking for a faster recovery time.We are considering to increase the backup streams , the question is how many streams should be added ? Is it based on the size AND if the DB has multiple files? 1 stream per data file ? Number of streams for DB with single fileAny best practices to fasten the recovery time is appreciated, thank you !!

We ran into issues with our vault tracker (VT) reports not being send following the upgrade to FR30. While running the schedule report the scheduledreport.exe crashed. Following conducted research and conversations with development it turns out to be the case that they assumed the stylesheet option wasn't being used by customers and they were already planning the phaseout of the underlying code path. There are no intentions to fix the current implementation but to look for the ability to address it via the report engine. So, beware you can run into issues and that there is no immediate solution. 

On all of our storage plans we have an auxiliary copy that is uploaded to an S3 bucket, we have been doing some DR scenario testing recently which has involved  failing over to our CS server in AWS.How does the indexing work when doing a browse and restore operation? We have no index server in AWS however for the restores i’ve tested (when using the S3 data copies) it appears to be running a restore job & completing successfully, is the indexes stored in the s3 buckets?

My exchange backups are running long again like they did when I first started backing up. My backup health is at 76%.Does anyone know why this would happen?

I’m trying to restore a OneNote notebook and it’s not restoring in Teams. The error suggests to check “Notes.ReadWrite.All” permissions in my Azure app and I’ve confirmed that the permission is there and valid.

Hi all,I’m trying to do a restore from an old domain to a new one from an Archive mailbox, I was wondering why the restore keeps creating another folder and going to the old domain?

I have 3 LTO7 tapes that were previously used for Microfocus Data Protector, then we wanted to use them for Commvault backups. But strange things started to happen with those tapes.1. Commvault recognized them as completely empty tapes, despite having information from the other backup tool.2. When I launched the copies the first 2 were filled with 6TB and 300GB.3. The third tape fills up with 2TB and goes into append state and doesn't let me use it by asking for a new tape.I already formatted it twice but the same thing keeps happening. But I see that the formatting that it does does not take it to the drive, it only does it at a logical level with the data from Commvault. In Commvault, is there a way to format it and purge all the data to be able to use the tapes in their entirety?

Hello,Trying to test Azure file share backup and restore from on-prem Commcell using MA on Azure.Adding a new content group and browse the content of the storage account gives no results even though content is there ( on zure side ).Credentials were set properly ( Account name  + Access key ) and the file sahre entiity can be accessed.  Any ideas ? Thanks

I have two media agents and a DDB. The ddb has two partitions spread across the two ddbs. I want to decommission one media agent. is there a correct way to do this? i haven’t found a document on CV support that seems to cover this specific scenerio.

server a/b is VCS cluster databases will be running on only one node at a time, currently databases are running only on server “a” node and only if database failover happens databases will run from server “b”. as per DBA it’s not RAC, how to configure the oracle backup for the same.

Hello,We have backup server  CommServe Simpana version 11 on Windows sever 2012 R2 Standard, and we are planning to migrate the commserve from win server 2012 OS server to new hardware Windows server 2022E.But, we have a problem with a low space on backup server 4,39GB free of total 67GB..I have noticed that SoftwareCache is C:\Program Files\CommVault\Simpana\SoftwareCache is 15.5GB.Is it recommend to delete that SoftwareCache to free up space on old backup server?Best regards,Elizabeta

So I created a job summary report from the commcell GUI, filling in all items abd adding it to be scheduled. The report is created a a CONSOLE report. But when I look at the result in the scheduler it’s been, magically or by commvaults visdom, changed to be a job summary webreport. Nothing noticed me about the change and in the GUI there is a specific selection to create a Job Summary as a web report.Where can I find the announcement of this change?? The web report contains loads of informatiuon I don’t need, so now I have to go and build a new customized web report? Where as the GUI report had an easy click “summery” I need to create a new report with just that info.If anyone can point me to that “one button” on the web report I’d much appreciate it. I understand that Commvault is trying to make things easier and more streamline, but that defenetly is causing issues in some areas, specificlly if one is used to the more granular control of the environment.BRHenke  

Hello,I have 2022E version of Commvault server in Azure installed. Then I created a Windows media agent and one Windows Access node (VSA agent). I created a Azure cloud library and a server plan. Then I created an IAM AD application (the traditional authentication way) in Azure and then a hypervisor client in Commvault. The configuration seems to be OK, but all test backups are running via the 1st access node I created before.
