Hello guys. I was using the Commcell Console normally without problems, from one day to the next, without any change, an error started to be displayed "Commserve Connection is lost, Do you wnat to reconnect?".  Clicking on "yes", the user and password are asked again, and after inserting it, the same error is displayed, and the console no longer logs in. I followed the steps in this documentation, “https://kb.commvault.com/article/54133” which says it is a certificate problem related to the "CVSession.dll" file, but looking at the certificate, the certificate is installed correctly and is not expired. What should I do in this case?

Hi, We’re shortly rolling out OneDrive for Business in Prod and I am looking for the possibility to filter contents in Commvault so that only certain data gets backed up:exclude files / file types exclude folders only backup certain foldersI will need to deploy OneDrive backup at the time of the roll-out of the service. We are currently running 11.20 but I was told at the Webinar for 11.22 that this is possible in 11.22 (office365V2).In order to test, I installed a separate instance and connected it to our Azure UAT. I have the list of users discovered but cannot find the option to filter contents over the Admin Console. Moreover, the Office365 OneDrive App is not visible in Comcell Console at all.Am I missing something?Thank you,Zoltan

Hi All, We are performing the Oracle out of place restore from recent online full backup. During the restore job, it trying to restore data from the another full which was happened a month before and failied. We already raised a incident with Commvault and it is Development bucket.   I would like to know that anyone come across this kind of issue in your enviorment and any known solution available. Thanks,Mani

There is one particular file in a user's OneDrive that keeps failing to be backed up. Hello,We have running a Linux Database server (Oracle), the database data is sitting on LUNs on NetApp. Now in a case of hardware failure or any ransomware attack, we need recover the system with 1-touch recovery.We found issue to exclude the LUNs with 1-touch recovery.we created an autoanswer file, with (1-touch recover points), in the guy we are not able to unselect volumes which are coming from LUNs.During the recovery procedure it stops with error in the 2. stage, error: not enough space selected for restore.This was for a restore test to a virtual machine!In real scenario, to restore the server back to physical hardware, I see a similar issue a as we using VLAN tagging on our network. So we will not have our storage LAN online, which bring the LUNs to the server, so we need again to bring first only the OS back online, and configure then the LUNs.we are use:Linux Redhat 7.9CommVault V11SP28.36 (E2022)regards Juergen

Hi,I’m a relative newcomer to Metallic, and I’m working with one of our Oracle DBAs to form a recovery plan for his environment, a series of Oracle RAC instances.One of the tests we’re trying to run is a restore of a Table (as opposed to a Tablespace) - documentation is unclear on the subject, but Metallic allows us to step through and submit a job to restore In-place. We have a number of duplicated servers which show the server name with an appended number on the end but show up as duplicates in the console. An example is joebloggscs01 showing as joebloggscs01_2. Our 3rd party consultants say these are eating up licenses, even though they are showing as grey and deconfigured in the CommCell. We have a few servers showing like this and they have a job histories so I wasn't sure if they could be deleted because the job ID’s are not the same as the configured server, if that makes sense. Also in addition its showing as we have 261 servers licensed, when I deconfigured 10 servers to take it to 251, the Web Console report is still showing these servers as holding a license.  is there a time lag at all as to when the report will reflect the true number. I have logged a ticket with support but like coming to the community as you guys have helped me in the past. Please HELP!! 😀 ThanksTonyQ

I noticed a VM names mismatch in the JavaUI and WebUI.VMs in the JavaUI sometimes have a different name in the WebUI.Commvault support says it is probably because of the additional setting on the CS: “https://documentation.commvault.com/additionalsetting/details?name=%22DontRenameVMClients%22&id=7490” Unfortunately, it is not documented on our end why this is set on this particular CS.I would like to remove it, but would like to know when/why this setting should be used.Anyone? Thanks.

Hey, When trying to browse one of the VM’s for restoring specific file I get the following error:[MsgId[0x0e0000f4][Failed to initialize browse request. Check Browse.log on CommServe for more details.]: [1] Args Pushed, [0] Args expected.  I found in other thread that if I add some keys maybe it will help.Problem is I don’t know where and how to add it :) Commvault version 11.26.35

Hello Community,11.24.43intellisnap for vmware has two phases:1. snap backup/snap copy2. backup copy I am planning to implement IntelliSnap for VMware backup to WORM storage (Azure container), and according to the Commvault documentation, the 'SnapCopy (Job-based retention)' feature is not supported for WORM storage.https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/9251_configuring_worm_storage_mode_on_cloud_storage.htmlActually, Job-based retention is set at the subclient properties level. If I don't set job-based retention, will both SnapCopy and Backup Copy be supported by Commvault for this scenario? 

Hello,  We get new license for Metallic cloud to extend our librarie, last week added the new license via webinterface without probleem. But the extra 100TB i dont see on cloud librarie yet. But if i run license summary report then i can see that extra 100TB added to the librarie. Librarie  I dont know if you can see the screenshot.

Hi,One of our customer will get soon a NetApp Filer with Full Flash disks (SSD disks). They will have one volume in their NetApp system with more than 100 millions of files. I proposed to use NDMP backup type and configure the feature NetApp C-Mode Multi-Streaming Backups.But the customer is afraid that he will have performance issue using NDMP backups due to the high number of files in one volume.Any advice?Many thanks.

Hi, we have User Group with a custom role. This Users in the user group cannot see the Button ‘Equivalent API’ in the Command Center when they start a Restore for example.As a Admin with master role assigned it is possible to see this button.Is there a specific permission which I can add to the role? Kind Regards

Hi! sometimes we have to install custom packages on Linux VMs because the installation from the CommCell is not working. (idk why). We copy the custom package on the Linux VM and executing the ./cvpkgadd binary. The installation interface starts and everything is fine. Hello! I’m trying to restore some data from old tapes. The tapes were recalled and are in the tape library. When I try to do browse and restore on a particular job, I get “unable to find/get index cache for ….”. To confirm, cataloging tape should update the index, correct?
