Hello Team, Firstly, all of your documents are still pointing to PostgreSQL version 9.6, not sure whether you have noticed this. If not, kindly update it as it becomes too difficult for us. Secondly, need some clarification on tablespace handling on PostgreSQL v11 and v13. Will the FS level backup work when tblspc is created inside $PGDATA If not, when can we expect this fix?Regards,Kamal

1, we have more tag on Azure disk, when I backup Azure VM by Intellisnap, couldn’t see any tags on snapshot. How to inherit Azure disk tag on snapshot? 2, I restored one Azure VM, restore Azure VM inherit tag from source, but Azure Disk didn’t inherit tag from source disk, any chance to inherit automatically?

I have a media agent installed on sparc with SunOS 5.11 operating system on it, and it does not have DDB MediaAgent role assigned, thus i cannot create local deduplication database partition. Is there a way to assign a DDB MediaAgent role to this media agent?

Someone on my team wanted to try to add a new Tape Library to the environment using Command Center.  I had never done this in Command Center before, so I watched the user go through the steps.  We found that it had created the library and the storage pools.  But we could not find any way to create barcode patterns or to create another scratch pool from the Command Center.We are an MSP and this is an essential step in being able to use the library.We then tried to create the barcode patterns and other scratch pools from the CommCell Console.  We created the entities but then found we could not associate it to the pool/plan.It appears that the option to change the scratch pool is greyed out in this case.Is it expected that you cannot edit the scratch pool when the library/storage policy/plan is created from the Command Center?  Or are we missing something here?Furthermore I was expecting a much more user-friendly approach to adding tape to the

So this is deployment 3 of 3 this week. And the first two have gone flawless. Pointed out some notes and documentation errors to the Commvault staff as well. However, this 3rd one is giving me grief. I am receiving a Failed to validate cluster please check the cvmanager.log for details.Ok, So - Note that all three nodes are green with Checks for status. So those are fineThe logs - this is where it gets weird. I have checked all three nodes /opt/commvault/logs/cvmanager.log - is blank. Theres nothing is there. I even tried to tailf the log file during the install and it just sits . So there is nothign being written to the logs.Now what? Well i burned like 4 hours trying to solve this so i just blew them away- reimaged all 3 nodes and started over. Here I am- Same things with fresh installs. I checked NTP and date/time is all gtg as well. What else should I be checking? Network is all working- I can hit all IP’s and ssh , iscsi etc is GTG.  

Hi,we have an old Citrix XenServer cluster with 2 VMs.On this cluster there was a Commvault proxy running for backing up the VMs in the cluster.Now it seems that the storage have a problem. Actually rebuild is running but i don’t know if that works.Last backups running fine…..but is it possible to restore a VM without proxy? Filebrowse works fine and i can restore files and folders but not my complete VM.Any ideas how i can restore this VM? Actually the VM backup is on my B2D store.RegardsDennis

Hi, more time when server are fully loaded, when i restore guest file from a vm backup and on restore process i use DOWNLOAD from web console and i have “error” session disconnect.In this situation the web browser not download restored file, but from console i see restore process complete.i suppose that are the timeout of commandcenter session but the file processed are store in a temporary  folder of commserve?Thanks

I have LTO 7 tapes from another Commcell that I’d like to format and use in our new Commcell. Is it possible to Format / erase these tapes and import them into the new Commcell?

Hello all,I would like to discuss the different options for a CommCell separation:our customer is divided into different business units. Their licenses are currently installed in shared environments (commcell, mediaagents, disk and tape libraries, all shared). NOTE: deduplication is not used and would be enabled after the migration.Each business unit must now have an independent commcell.  So my first option would be asking Commvault to separate the licenses by business unit, perform a fresh install for each new commcell, and configure their respective clients. But old backup data (especially from tape) would remain at the original Commcell, which i must not depend on. Question:How could I move old backup data from the original CommCell to the new ones. This is moving some backup data to a new comcell, some other backup data to another new commcell and so on.Second option would be performing the Commcell MIgration pr

Hi, I made a backup configuration of SAP Hana. But when I start backup I get an error like below. This error persists for a while. But then it starts taking backups. After a while, the last update time of the job I started due to this error is getting longer and the backup does not continue. I think it is related to the codes executed on SAP Hana and unfortunately my company does not have HANA Admin. While trying to figure out how to gather BET for charging purposes I noticed that the size on disk as displayed both in Command Center and CommCell console for cloud libraries to be incorrect. I have opened a ticket for it and in particular referred to S3 buckets, but I was wondering it other customers see the same and if it also occurs on libraries using Microsoft Azure Storage or other types/vendors. Please comment in case you see identify the same. I noticed it while running FR26 and FR28 (2022e).

This client meets all the requirements correctly, but I get the following error: "Error: Failed to install File System Core with error code 0x80070643."I am also attaching the logs for your review.Thank you very much for your help. long story short story we observe error “The parameter used for the current operation is not supported by the Operating System, OS Drivers or the underlying Hardware” in our environment  It started few months ago and from this time it is more and more extensive. It already “survived” few MR updates First thought that is connected with some backup types but it already spread to ddb backup or index backup ...also exist in FS backup or vmware backup ...Often see tat also inside AUX copies  or in livesync replication  Second thought that mine MA’s OS is guilty so we changed many MA’s from 2012r2 to 2016 or even 2019 ….not help ….also play with many options from OS which not help also Next thought went to base where we store backups which s CIFS shares on Synology (especially that no so long ago we changed OS on them to DSM7 (from previous DSM6) . Here we also checked many things as for example blocking to use SMB3 and use only SMB2
