Hi there! Could you please address me to the right procedure how to deploy Standby CommServe Server? I have found this page (https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/essential/128066_deploying_standby_commserve_server.html), however we have no HyperScale Appliance it is just ordinary Commserve Server So, if I want to deploy Standby CommServe as DR site in case of speed failover, should I deploy the Standby CommServe as written there (https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/essential/106129_installing_standby_commserve_host.html) In general, is deploying of the Standby CommServe host time consuming process or is it more intuitive task?
Hello Commvault Community, Maybe you have an idea why there is a problem connecting to the Edge Drive via a laptop from a network other than the internal one. Unable to connect an off-site laptop to Edge Drive. Laptop is not added to Active Directory, it works in a workgroup. Authorizing access through the Edge Drive configuration to a domain account. An error with authorization to the given user account appears in the logs (the account and password are entered correctly, the ability to log in to the webconsole). Access infrastructure via DMZ and installed server with firewall issued port 8403. Network topology - network gateway (laptop) configuration between defined Laptop Clients groups and Commvault infrastructure servers. If the laptop mentioned above is on the internal LAN then everything works fine. Hi, one of my customers just noticed that after and upgrade most of the Data Protection Schedule Policy have double ! Original one : O365, duplicate O365 - Clone ? And in the Description is written Automatically cloned by system and the association count is higher in the clone one ! And ideas, should he just open a support call ?
Hi!I am looking for any advice, tips, pitfalls to avoid, things we should consider and such, with regards to plans for getting from the current commvault installation, to a planned new commvault installation. Current Installation:5+ year old (but updated) installation, with 1 virtual commcell, and 4 physical media-agents, 2 in each datacenter. Physical HW for both the media-agents and the storage are reaching their EOL in 2022 and needs replacing.The Commvault environment is currently in the production domain. New Installation (planned):New installation, with 1 virtual commcell (or possibly clustered?) and 4 virtual media-agents, 2 in each datacenter. Is it possible to have more than one commserve in my backup environment?
Hello,I have installed Simpana 11.20 on commvault backup server srvbck (on this machine is also installed media agent which serves backup on Tape library)Also I have four virtual machines, vsa-agent (which is installed on Citrix virtualization platform) and another media agent htmmediaagent1 which serves backup virtual machines.The backup is located at the htmmediaagent1 server location.I should add more virtual machines(which are located on different virtualization platforms) for backupon the Tape library. Then another media agent would be used for backup srvbck… My question is:Do I need to have another vsa agent installed (on other virtualization) to back up virtual machines to the Tape library?Do I need to have a separate all agents installed on for each virtualization?Thank you!Best regards,Elizabeta
