Hello, We need to use the chargeback details report, but we also need to create alerts that report.Within the chargeback details report, we can configure alerts per server (within the chargeback details window). But how can we create alerts onthe “chargeback summary”? (for example on total media size). note: no, we cannot use the standard chargeback report for that, as that on a private metric server, and not accessible by endusers.  

Hello Commvault Community, I am looking for a report that will help me extract information in an easy and comfortable way (for example during the audit), where I can see what, when and where was restored database, similar to those virtual machines (VM Restore Details Report). If it matters, I mainly care about reports that include SQL Server databases. VM Restore Detailshttps://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/#!/135/661/16848 Is such a report available somewhere? We have SAP HANA running on SLES VM on ESXi and we are getting Commvault Backup & Recovery For Virtual Machines but now realize that SAP HANA is an in-memory Database. Will commvault force memory to commit to storage when starting a backup? What other commvault options have we got?

Hi, i did some reaseach but did not find any valid information regarding license oversubscription.  So as seen we aquired 2000 Permanent Total Virtual Operating Instances but currently use 2008. I’am not seeing any grace period for oversubscription or any negative impact currently. Is there a X% allowance or grace period for this ? thanks

Hi,We are schedule to perform cv upgrade to target version 11.24.x. Part of our preparation is to download the target FR from the commcell console in Add/Remove Software but upon checking unable to select feature release from download and sync cache options. It is grayed out. If anyone who encountered this how do we enable the options so we could proceed to download our target update software. Regards.

We are currently trying to test a restore using a Linux VSA for several windows servers (2012R2,2016,2019). After the first backup and restore we haven't had any issues restoring specific files to the same server of to other servers (all windows).Unfortunately after last nights backup, today we tried again to restore some files, with no success.Every time we try to select the destination server we get prompted with user/password for that server and then we try to browse for the specific path, but we keep getting the same error:Something went wrong. Server may be under maintenance. Trace ID: cvtZsQyx9YDid something happened during the backup process and now the servers are not visible?This is a first time issue and cant get a solution for it.Any advises are appreciated. Thank you.

I am searching for older backups prior to the v2 indexing update. I remember there is a way to set that when doing the search. As it stands now, I can only see items after the indexing . Anyone else come across this?

Hi,Our customer was using Commvault without a web server and command center. We tried to add web server and command center packages to already installed commserve but it failed. We opened a case but they couldn’t resolve the issue. Our customer created new virtual machine for web server. I installed web server and command center packages on this new virtual machine but I can’t login with active directory users to them. We have a configured domain controller with SSO. We can login java console with both local and domain users but we can login web console only local users.Commvault version is 11.24.43

A server backup recently increased dramatically in size. Anyway to adjust the anomaly threshold for the time it takes getting backed up? Currently we receive an “long running job” alert every day only for that job. Thank you. Eric

Is there a way to receive, in a Commvault post process command, the name of the database being backed up?Additionally, if you have any links to any more documentation about Pre/Post Processes I would be very grateful.

We have a department that is going to be using Commvault APIs to pull restore job success / failure rates, but we only want them to pull the quarterly test jobs we run. With our old backup system we could name the restore jobs when we ran them, but with Commvault we don’t have that functionality. Anyone have a workaround to this?

I use the Activity Report to generate the Monthly Executive Summary Report on backup stats.There are two days of no information being reported, even though jobs ran over these two days.What are possible reasons for the Metrics server not reporting on two days even though there were successful backups?Thanks so much.  

Hi,We have data to backup with a retention period of 4 weeks. The challenge is the following:the data within the fist week of retention period must be copied to SSD disksthe data within 2nd week to 4th week of retention must go to NLSAS disks. So, the goal is to not have the data of the first week retention in NLSAS disks to reduce the space.Is there a way to reach this goal? ThanksRegards,

Hello!Just started with Plans and have a question regarding storage part in derivated plan.I created a “Base”Plan to derivate other plans from. I enabled override restrictions to required for storage and optional for the rest. When I create the derivated plan I add new storage detsinations, primary and secondary, abd generate the plan. In the Plan there is now 3 storage destination, the snap shot Primary copy wasn’t previously shown. Since it’s inherrit the settings it’s pointing to the wrong storage destination.Can that be changed from CommandCenter to either correct storage destination or deleted or do I simply have to delete it from GUI, if possible and recommended? BRHenke

We have a oracle node where the long term retention (7 years) not happening. It was happening successfully till last year. The node is part of  long term copy policy. I have attached the screenshot for reference.Note: We were getting multi channel warning message from this oracle backup from last few months however its resolved now.    Any suggestion will be really helpful 

Hello Team, We are configuring Exchange 2019 DB backup, while running backup it's showing an VSS related errors.The exchange DAG is configured IP less and without DNS feature. While adding DAG client in commcell is successfully added and discover DB also with out any issue. We checked DAG client check readiness, its showing communication error. Please advise any specific configuration needed for DAG IP less feature.
