Hello,I’m experiencing an issue with backups from an IBM i server using Commvault.Recently, the scheduled backup jobs finish with the status “Completed” and without errors, but when reviewing the backup contents, no data appears to have been backed up.In this case, the backup configuration is set to back up only one specific library, and this is precisely the library that is not being backed up.So far, I have verified the following:The Check Readiness test is successful on both the IBM i client and the Proxy. The IBM i user configured for Commvault has the required privileges. Backups were working correctly last week. The backups run during early morning hours, when there is no system activity. I tested the Save While Active parameter using “*LIB” and “*SYNCLIB”. No network connectivity issues have been detected.Has anyone experienced a similar situation where the backup job completes s

my current environment on primary side we are not using commvault dedup and compression using storage end. so when we are going to do the aux copy commvault dehyderate the data from storage and using the wan compression full data transfer to the DR side or second site and destination side we have data domain on primary we didn't have data domain. any possibility to dedup the data  before sending to the destination like DASH copy (only reference point transfer to the destination)  objective is to reduce the wan traffic instead of transferring whole backup. I know i am asking silly question.

   We’re in the process of moving from VMware to Hyper‑V, and I’m seeing a pretty significant difference in IntelliSnap performance. Our Hyper‑V IntelliSnap jobs are averaging around 57 minutes, while the same workloads on VMware average 5 minutes.    Is this typical for Hyper‑V environments? I’d really like to hear what snapshot durations others are seeing with IntelliSnap on Hyper‑V.    Below is a chart comparing the two platforms. Each line represents a snapshot job. As you can see, the VMware jobs all complete within roughly an hour, while the Hyper‑V jobs stretch across a five‑hour window, which isn’t ideal for maintaining a tight RPO.Thank you, 

We have a lot Team sites. Now we are getting site which emailaddress is skipped from the backup with the reason: The SMTP address has no mailbox associated with it.It has a emailaddress. Team site is active. I compared the site with some others, but I see no difference.Does anyone have a solution?Thanks in advance!

Hi,I have several CommServe installations in our different offices, and I’m experiencing the same issue in all of them. I can access the CommServe URL without any problem, but many sections and pages do not display the information.They keep loading indefinitely, and a “Not Found 404” message appears briefly. I have tried restarting the Tomcat services and running iisreset, but the issue remains the same. I’m running version 11.36.87.Everything has been working with no problem for a long time, but now it’s not. Any idea about what can I do?  

Literally - So did I miss some release notes that editing reports is no longer a thing? I have more than one CommCell doing this and I only noticed it when our backup summary reports suddently turned to “garbage” with essentially no content.11.40.34thanksI see I am late to the discussion in the Report builder thread. Hello everybody,I am posting here because the help from Commvault so far on this subject has been poor. We are ESM customers so pay extra for support, but my account has so far not been able to give me the answers that I need. About 4 years ago we had an HSX cluster installed into our environment. This was part of a global deployment, so I assuming that the install was carried out by a Commvault professional that would have performed all the necessary tests before installing the OS, like checking that the OS disks were mirrored. Nobody from Commvault has been able to confirm who did the installation. The install does not appear to have done correctly, and what I have here are three HPE DL380 Gen10 12LFF nodes with the OS installed on a Linux LVM volume that spans across two 480GB SSDs. I am new on linux commserv, i was experience on windows commserv and want to know  on windows we did manually commserv installation like extracting the package and extracting the setup file for upgrade the 1st instance and one is done then upgrade the 2nd instance. Can we do the same with linux based commserv.

I seem to be missing some logic in the workflow for approvers. If the default approver group is master, but I have an external DL / group of users who I want to approve changes, how can I get it to trigger the email to that DL?Meaning - I don’t just want the master group to be notified of something needing approval, but both master and the external group’s notified at the same time (so either another master OR one of the external DL members can)?I initially tried setting the default approver to the DL but no email comes out (yes the DL has a working email for it). The approvers in that DL don’t do anything in Commvault, they are simply authorized to approve.thanks

CVMongoRecoveryAssistant cannot launch due to missing CVMongoRecoveryAssistant.dll fileI would like to solicit some advice as this has happened to me twice already.  I have been wanting to test the recovery tool for MongoDB use by Commvault.  For some reason everytime I run it, it complains about a missing CVMongoRecoveryAssistant.dll file.  I look into it in the base folder and the file is missing. This results in the tool not being able to launch. I tried to lab the Commvault using a different media and I have the same result. The DLL file is missing.Is this a known issue?  Any advice is appreciated

NetApp is currently selling the successor to the ASA (SAN Only), the ASAr2, at an attractive price. Basically, it is a system from the ONTAP family, like the FAS or AFF systems. Unfortunately, the API has changed considerably, and Commvault does not yet support the ASAr2 API. I’ve heard that integration is being worked on. Is there a timeline for this?We have a few projects where Commvault (new customer) and NetApp would be a good combination.

Hello,By mistake I performed a recall  on a tape media that was already exported, we plan to take it offsite  but still in the library.The icon is changed  If I try to export it again I have this message.How to get back to Exported media state before taking the tape offsite.I just want to get back to the previous state.  Thanks !
