Hello Team. Customer has moved on-prem vmware ms windows vm’s to azure as azure vm instances. They say they have the vm’s in 4 separate subscriptions and provided 4 subscription ID’s. The CV Azure Client has only 1ea. field for a subscription ID. To protect these vm’s, will 4ea. CV Azure Clients need to be created ?

Does your organization have a mandatory password change policy and Commvault SQL accounts (sqladmin_cv and sqlexec_cv) are not in an exception? No worries. Hello Experts, Our client cant communicate directly with Commcell. They go through media servers. As and when a new backup request comes, we open bidirectional communication between client and media servers for port 8400 to 8403. we would like to understand that when Backup schedule will kick off, which port will trigger to start the communication with media server and which port will help with data transfer. We would also like to know that once the data transfer is started, what will happen to the port which was responsible for data communication between client and MA.

I need help in creating a sql query which can be used to fetch the data.  Select jobhistory from table where comcellname is abc and clientgroup is xyz. Could someone please help me with this. 

AWS Cross account backup configuration.senario: having 3 AWS accounts to backup resources from Account A to a media agent in Account B that has backup bucket in account C ( account B & C are fine that I do backup account B resources as MA /AN/Proxy is here) , Account B IAM user is allowed to access resporces from Account A while configuring the commvault client for Account A backup can list the ressources from account B only though the account B user allowed to access account A , any Idea is that still viable option and supported ? ThanksSK   

Hi ,I am trying to send an Daily Job summary report to Helpdesk team and keep my Manager in CC from COmmvault.But there is no option for “cc” field, it;s there in Alert section but not in reports.Can somebody help me if there is any option to customize the report and add CC form?

Im planning to move the web server/console out of the Commserver to reduce the load on the Commserve.  I would like to implement it in 2 sites ( active/active ) if possible to attain resiliency and high availability. This is sort of a hardware refresh with 2 additional web servers/consoles being built in 2 sites.  Hoping for some guidance on how to achieve this goal.Thanks for any information provided

Hello all!We do have a problem with a Windows server.There was server XYZ which was migrated to Server 2022.So a new server with the same name was created in VMware XYZThe old server was stopped, and new server was addressed with the same IP.Old server was renamed in VMware to XYZ_old.And now we do have a problem….We do have two entries in CommvaultXYZ and XYZ_oldFor VMware snapshot XYZ is our server which will be backed up.But after installation of SQL and FS Core package on NEW server it somehow appears on XYZ_old server… and whats even funnier i am able to browse server, and configure SQL backup. So wo have two entities in commvault now:XYZ_old which contains an FS and SQL agentXYZ which contains VM backup. In VMware the original XYZ server is not existing any more! it was deleted. Hello Community,I am a tenant admin in Commvault so I don't have access to Commcell or Java console. But I can add NAS, servers, virtualization. I currently have a problem with NAS backups from Isilon and each incremental job takes 7 or 8 hours. The data size is 1TB and there are more than 2 million files.I first added a NAS, i.e. Isilon (with array), using add server and then a CIFS subclient as backup source. Since we already started with version 11.28, I assume that the changelist for Isilon is enabled. But I don't understand why an incremental job takes so long every day. Strangely, I see that after a synthetic backup, the incremental job only takes about 30 minutes. But the next day it will take 8 hours again.I would like to ask if anyone has had a similar experience. Many thanks in advance.Thanks.

There are two tape media with identical barcode in the tape library. When try to export either of the media, it doesn't get exported to IEport. Try the other tape, there is no issue. What would be the procedure to take out the media and re-label one of them and get it work again? 

Is CV-BKRC-VM10 sku is include with immutable backup and prevent backup copies of data from any corruption or ransomware attacks. 

Hello, I’ve just deployed Teams Backup in FR23. After the first couple of backups, I’d like to clarify the followings:Backup: What types of objects are being backed up? - Files - looks ok - Channels - looks ok - Teams - looks ok - Posts - looks ok - Wiki - looks ok - Tasks by Planner? - Shifts? Restore: - During the deployment of the Teams App, I chose the custom deployment and used my own user account to get the token. Now at the restore, I am the owner of all posts - at least within a channel restored to a different channel within the same Team. - Files look fine, although Modified By is now “SharePoint App” - Wiki looks fine - Tasks by Planner objects are not restoredThank you in advance,Zoltan

Hello Teamwe have recently upgraded Commvault SP to 11.32.49 and we can observe in every 6-7 days backup went to hung state and waiting also backup job is not moving.we are facing issue after SP upgrade to 11.32.49.Please help its is bug in 11.32.49 or any fix of this issue.

Hi guys, I have a question, i will backup database oracle ,  the  oracle on windows server when i try backup show the error result “Error while backing up Oracle Database. Error Details [Found File [C:\Windows\system32\ORASBT.dll]: Please rename this file so that Oracle can load Galaxy Installed Library [C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\Base\ORASBT.dll] for Backup/Restore.]. Please check the logs.”  what do I need to change in the library?

I have multiple VM’s of Red Hat Linux OS.And in our environment, VM backups are configured at vCenter level.Our server team did OS upgrade from Red Hat Linux 7 to Red Hat Linux 8 (In place upgrade of OS).Even when new VM backup ran for the servers, the OS version is not changed to Linux 8.Do I need to delete VMClientDB file from all VSA proxies to rediscover the latest OS version of the VM’s?Or anything else.Please help me out here.

Hi,I have tried to restore oracle database to disk but I did not find the option restore to Disk.

We have more than 5800 deconfigured “client-less” vCenter based servers listed in Commvault which no longer exist or have data backed up. We would like to remove them and only keep what is actually still on the vCenters. What is the best practice for this sort of cleanup? We need to switch from subclient based backups to Server Plans.
