Hi Guys,First time poster here so hopefully I have completed everything correctly.I am trying to do a Full Backup for 2 Clients in my Environment but the ‘Full’ Backup option is greyed out like so:I can confirm that all Incremental and Synthetic Full jobs are completing absolutely fine with no errors and that ‘Enable Backup’ etc. is also selected in the properties of each:Can anyone advise what may be the issue here? I can confirm that both have completed Full Backups in the past but it has been some time (over 3 years). Curious, does anyone have cohesity setup as a file share. Using Commvault NAS agent to protect CIFS shares over SMB. What performance are you getting and or running into any issues. 

My OneDrive backups are configured to use my Tier 3 Prod (“other” production) storage policy which has a 14 day retention for all backups and a 1 year retention for monthly backup.Today I noticed that a coworker named Simon who moved on to greener pastures more than a year ago still appears in the list of clients when I do a Browse and Restore search on OneDrive users within the CommVault java GUI.  The Backup Time reported for Simon’s files falls within the weekly synthetic full backup that runs Saturday nights.I thought there might have been a failure to clean up Azure but when I check admin.microsoft.com, Simon does not appear as an active, guest, or deleted user.  I checked with my O365 administrator and Simon’s files appear to have been properly deleted.I don’t understand why his files are still appearing within the CommVault backups.  Shouldn’t his OneDrive files have expired by now?  Ken

Hey All, one question regarding the SQL Log backup.  We had 2 SPs  SPDB → FullSPlog → translog We are running every 10 minuts log backups and every 15 minuts auxcopy. The split is needed because after the full db backup the auxcopy take a long time. That we have the logs in DC2 we splited that the auxcopy for both SPs can run at the same time.  No we have the problem when 1 DB is converded to diff that the Hole job will associated to the SPDB SP.  Exampel: Server 1: DB1 / Recovery modus FullDB2 / Recovery Modus SimpleDB3 / Recovery Modus Full When the Backup job started it goes to SPlog when the second dbs runs the hole job is rerouted to SPDB.  Is there any possibility to prevent ths ? Yes i can create an new subclient for all dbs with simple recovery modus… But what happend when the dba create a new one.

Hello,I’m at the end of configuration of exchange Hybrid archivization in Commvault. It works for users without Exchange Public Folders in use, but fails for the ones using that feature. Documentation is not entirely clear for me in that matter:https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/93792_assigning_permissions_to_online_service_accounts.htmlFor public folders, service account should have owner permission at the root level (all public folder). For public folder backup and restore, the service account must have impersonation and view-only permissions.I don’t understand the difference, is granting the owner optional and when someone doesn’t want to grant that high permission then, the lower “impersonation” and “view-only” must be in place

Dear all,what does it happen when an auxiliary copy job is suspended and then resumed?I know this sounds like a strange question but comes from the following experience. We have auxiliary copy jobs that take a long time to be completed and often they are still running when new content is added.In this case (new content added) the values of Total Data to Process, Number of Readers in use and Current Throughput are not updated in the Job Controller and, even more serious, they remain the original ones for a long time.If I suspend the aux copy job and resume it right after, all the values are recalculated, a much higher number of Readers are allocated and the aux copy goes much faster.Is this normal? I mean, I expected that the load resources were recalculated periodically but it looks like it doesn’t happen. Thank you in advance for your helpGaetano

Hello team DDB hosts on Raid5 make up of SSD and observed DDB Q&I reach to 102%Questions:#1 Can we still run the iometer on the RAID...right?#2 CV doc stating ‘Recommend dedicated RAID 1 or RAID 10 group.’ and should we follow this to reconfig raid that use for hosting DDB: https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/111985_hardware_specifications_for_deduplication_mode_01.html 

We are installing Commvault 11.28.10 and seem to be having an issue with getting the Alerts/Events to send to our syslog server. We followed the instructions in the installation linkhttps://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/114237_configuring_syslog_server.htmlBut it doesn’t seem to work properly, we have validated that we can reach the logging serverfrom the os command line (we are running the commserver on linux)Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be missing to enable the alerts/events tosend to syslog server? We are getting them via email so that part does work. 

Do you have the option to change the compression algorithm for Commvault backups? (BROTLI, ZLIB, or LZMA). Documentation would be a great help. Thanks!

I am attempting to clean up workflows in my environment, but I want to archive the code in case its necessary at some point in the future.https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/49428_rest_api_get_workflow.html returns the workflows including all their versions.The workflow definitions can be grabbed using the workflow id, but I don’t see a want to get each version. Am I missing something? It there a way to get a list of the workflow ID for each version of a workflow? thanks.Chris.

Hello team We’re going to replace the on-premises disk library that use for 2nd copies  with a new immutable container that created in Azure Blob if it’s possible to migrate old data(dash copies) that currently store on the on-premises disk to this new immutable container by creating a new copy that takes the old 2nd copy as source and destination points to this new immu container  for two scenarios :2nd copy with mixed retentions2nd copies have the same retention  #1 If yes, once migration complete, can we run CV workflow to convert it to CV Worm storage lib or we should config the new cv lib to worm before migrate data?#2 More concern about the dash copies with mixed retention and data will not get aged until all jobs meet retention, should group copies with same retention into a dedicated immutable containers first?#3 Once all set (data migrate to this new immu storage and convert to

We are using the File System setup for backups and I am trying to Setup a Live Sync to replicate from a WFS cluster client over to our NetApp NDMP or WFS that we have in stalled on Commvault. I don’t see the NetApp client listed for an option in the Destination list on Live Sync like other clients do. Is there any way to get the NetApp client added to the Destination list? 

Hi All,I have upgraded the CommServe from 11.24 to 11.28.After the upgrade the windows do not open in Commcell Console - for example: Job Controller, Event Viewer, Alert, Scheduler, Commserve Browser,... Even the Commcell Console window itself does not close when I click the cross button.To check/reproduce it on another computer I ugraded the Commcell Console module on Media Agent server to 11.28 and the behavior is the same as on the CommServe server. Thanks for help,Lubos

Hi Commvault People, I am in the process of reworking our legacy filtering and exclusion settings.One thing which would be very beneficial is for the OS Filesystem agent to automatically exclude the database components from Filesystem backup, since we have the application agent already protecting the data. I then noticed this thread from this very forum which alluded to this being implemented in one of many possible service packs:-  However, it had different contributions from differing Commvaulters and was left a little open-ended. So I would like to ask the question again. If you have a SQL ida, and a Filesystem ida, is the Filesystem ida supposed to automatically exclude the database structures from backup?  Can I also throw Oracle into the mix here?

I can’t seem to get Livesync “test failover” to work with 11.28.24.   I got very close this time with the passive node able to restore the databases but failed when executing maintenance recovery tool.   Subsequently, all failover tests just failed on the fact that it couldn’t log in with sqladmin_cv.   I followed the instructions on how to get the databases out from restoring mode.. https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/105030_getting_database_out_of_restoring_mode.html   It almost seem like when it failed the first attempt, it left the configuration in a bad state which resulted in sqladmin_cv failing to log in on all subsequent tests.  I rebuild this so many times already...Any advice?   I appreciate your help and time.CSRecoveryAssistant.log

Hello, Please, could you help me with the following question:When adding a tape library to a set of non-clustered MediaAgents, I add the whole library to all of them and they decide which drive they are using, so there is never a conflict between mediaagents and drive utilization.When adding disk libraries (SAN FC) to a set of MediaAgents, I add one disk library per MediaAgent because Mediaagents cannot manage the possible conflicts that could happen if they tried to access the same volume at a time (non-clustered MediaAgents). How does it work for NAS and cloud (s3) libraries?For NAS, should I add one share per MediaAgent?  or just one share for all MediaAgents? For S3, should I add one bucket per MediaAgent? or just one bucket for all MediaAgents? Thanks.Sergio
