Hi there,I have a quick question. I need to reset tape library to apply new changes, but some aux jobs are still running and I need them to be continued after resetting the library. So, should I put the aux jobs to suspanded state or rather then  to put the tape library offline for the maintenance and then reset it? The key thing is not to lost progress of running aux jobs.

Hello Community,  the source db has mssql native replication configured and it being replicated from one site to anotherCan we backup this source db /destination replica via Commvault mssql agent while sql native replication running? Can those two operations co-exist and is there any limitation on this type of config?

Need help in sending snmp traps for backup failures of only few storage policy to a seperate trap servers We have current configuration,where all alerts are sent to a trap serverOne customer wanted to get alerts only for their servers(shared environment where we backup servers from multiple customer in single commcell) to a seperate trap server.we cannot add their trap server in destination trap as they will recieve all alerts. Could you please help us how to achieve this.

Hi Everyone!A colleague (Who already had commvault installed) needed to re-install macOS Mojave 10.14.6 and used a “Time Machine” to restore his Laptop completely. -We do not use Commvault for making a full image of ours Laptops but just for User’s folders-This colleague tried to re-install commvault and he always get the following error over terminal:MacBook-Pro:Unix ironman$ sudo ./cvpkgaddUsing update installer /Users/ironman/.gxsetup/cvpkgadd/newinstall:v1182333Error in checksums: 112590792 is different from 2761742995 Commvault still have all his backed up files and we are wondering if there is a way to just re-install commvault in his MacBook without losing\deleting any of his data.Any ideas or suggestion?Thanks in advance for your time. 🙂

Without the typos re-done below (sorry)WE have CV 11 in our on-premises infrastructure as standard and are looking to extend into our Azure environment, which has been using Azure Backup to date 🤐A business priority is protecting our MS-hosted Office 365 SAAS implementation and I would like to do this using an extension of our existing CV with the Marketplace B&R appliance usage.I just need to know that their will be no lack of functionality in terms of what we can protect in Azure if we do it this way, instead of putting Metallic in, which my understanding is more for businesses who do not already have CV in-house..Basically, we want to be able to protect all O365 components (email,sharepoint etc) in granular fashion, whether they be hosted by MS or ourselves, across our Azure subscriptions. Weird issue here.  I’m attempting to disable an old, legacy storage policy.  However, if I try to make any change at all with this particular storage policy, I get this popup:"You need to select at least one log storage policy"  And I mean any change.  Name of the policy, retention, client association, disabling for backup, etc- they all generate this popup.  I had to move all of the clients to a different policy manually because the “reassociate all” function generated this popup too.  Deleting the policy isn’t an option because it has a copy with extended retention.  My goal is to rename the policy and disable it for backups.  Any ideas?  

Hi, We are thinking about implementing a Resource Pool for O365 in a MSP environment for ease of administration. There is not much details about this in the docs so I’m trying to reach out here to see if there is anyone with the correct knowledge. A few questions...Are there any recommendations about how to distribute Applications? Use one O365 Resource Pool or use separate Resource Pools for each App - Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams?Are there any sizing considerations on how much data or how many users can be managed by one single Resource Pool? How many Access Nodes and how many Index Nodes can we expand the Pool with as we grow?Is it possible to change current setup for our tenants from dedicated resources (i.e. their own AccessNodes and Index) to a Resource Pool? And if needed, is it possible to move a tenant from a Resource Pool to dedicated resources?  I would expect that a re-index will be needed in both cases?Regards, Patrik

We are an MSP, and we have a client who wants to be sure that we run a “Yearly Full” on a certain date in January.  And that would need to get copied out to tape that would be retained for much longer and go to a different off-site location, so we want separate tapes for this yearly.One of the junior admins tried to configure this in the Command Center and then came to me with questions.He has a Monthly Copy and a Yearly Copy configured to copy to the tape pool.But we couldn’t figure out whether simply marking this as a Yearly would make it run yearly.  We tried to create a schedule from the CommCell Console, with the yearly rules where we could state that the yearly backup runs on the X day of X month, etc.  But we couldn’t seem to find these types of rules on the Plan created copy, from Command Center nor CommCell Console.  It seems like the selective rules are different on the Command Center created policy and Advanced is greyed out next to yearly.We’re wondering what the correct Co

Hi All, We are currently using SQL idata agent to backup SQL Databases on Amazon EC2 VM.Should we move from SQL idata agent backup to Application aware backups for Amazon EC2 VM here hypervisor is Amazon.What will be the disadvantages and advantags of using Application aware backups on Amazon VM’s as compare to SQL idata agent backups. Please provide what Commvault recommends. Reagrdas,Rahul Raina

I read that I need to allow WMI users right access (its standard Admin user account with full rights), even I added our domain admin on WMI access list - SAME ERRORThen I read I need to start Remote Registry service  - its started and SAME ERRORThen I disabled Firewall and that machine - SAME ERRORWhat can be a problem?Thanks 

Hi All,how can we monitor when the discover process did not run? The Backup job is showing everything is good but in the backround the discover mailbox process faile. 

I am backing up a cluster, but each cluster drive has its own subclientAll the other drives on their own subclient are backing up fine.There are 2 errors I see.Process(72) - Could not get SIDB folders; cannot exclude SIDB folders from this backupERROR CODE [17:49]: Failed to further divide the collect files. Possible reasons: nonexistent path/file, hardware problems or full disk.The job for the cluster subclient run for over 30 hours before failing.The check readiness indicates there is no error on the sublient,Anyone have ideas on what logs I should look at the find the root cause.
