Hello,we have to recall stubs of about 2000 mailboxes. I want to use massrecall tool to recall the stubs. My question is, is there an option to define the complete mailbox of the user and to define exclusions of specific folders (calendar, deleted items, etc.). At the monent I don’t know which folders were created by users beside inbox. Or is it necessary to report all mailboxes and folders to create a input file which contains the folders that shoul be included for mass recall?Thanks and regards,Thomas

There is a data loss in customer environment. Customer wants me to check if there was anything which was backed up and could possible be restored. There are 2 incremental backups from which data needs to be restored. But while browsing the incremental data is stuck at “loading data….” and not actually loading data. Previous incremental backups are being browsed successfully.  

Hi, We are looking for a way to fetch from the Commserv - Jobs Copied By AuxCopy Job.Currently we use this API call - qoperation execscript -sn QS_JobsCopiedByAuxCopyJob,but the response we are getting includes details that are not aligned with what we see on the Console GUI. Jobs that are marked as ‘Copied’ on GUI doesn't show on the API response. Is there any other way to fetch that data and the get the latest status ?  Thanks

Hi Problem description:VMWare subclient  (with NetApp datastores via NFS) is running using:SnapShot (primary Snap) -> SnapVault -> Backup2Disk.First a full and since then always inc + 1 x a week synthetic full was backed up. The primary target (default disklibrary) must be changed and this is not possible in the storage policy :( I can set up a new primary target but the default library (for metadata SnapShot etc) is always the original library. So I have to set up a new storage policy with a new default library. How does it behave now with:a.) the Synthetic fulls? Do I have to start again with a real full or does CV just take the data assigned to the client from whatever library for the next synthetic full and if I delete the old storage policy I have still functionable backups?b.) if I move the SubClient to the new Storage Policy it keeps the CBT/SnapShot/SnapVault information? Unfortunately I can't test it easily a

Hi guys,We are planning to set up LiveSync and our Web Server is installed on the primary CommServe Instance001. I assume that if we don’t separate the Web Server, we will only be able to operate from the CommCell if a failover occurs (since LiveSync works at the SQL Server agent level). I did not see in the documentation that having a seperate Web Server was a requirement for LiveSync and I was wondering if it was absolutely necessary or if it would be a better practice to set it up as a separate server.Thanks for your help!

Hello, I have issue with live browsing of Exchange recovery point. I am getting next error : Cannot connect with Exchange Mining process, please check service running status on live browse server. I made commvault case 220731-163. But i want to ask here aswell if someone had same issue.Somewhere in juni restore worked correctly on the same MA Once thing i change after is commvault hotfix to 11.25.44 The MA and Exchange have same patch.  I tryed restore offline DB to MA, but after restore getting same error at browsing. I uploaded some logs aswell.

Hello Guys, since the upgrade from 11.25 to 11.28 i have an issue with our Exchange Index Server. On the Index Server the services are running fine and the content path is also the right one but i always get the issue “Content Server Down” when i try to search for a mailbox.  The Index Server Backup itself fails with the error “Configured Content does not exist” even the path hasnt changed.  Thanks in advance BR Marcel

Hi, A customer has a CPU constraint server with PostgreSQL DB running. DB is approx. 96GB in size. Dumpbased backup took 5h30m which is a very long time to backup 96GB of data. Commvault by default is using pg_dump with -Fc parameter which compresses backup by default I’m not a DB admin but as far as I know postgreSQL compression is very resource intensive. Is there a way to run PostgreSQL dumpbased backup without pg_dump compression?

I just enabled DDB verification system created schedule policy .Estimated completion time of DDB verification for some of Dedupe Stores is like 20-30 days .Should i disable ddb verification schedule policy as i can not allow running verification job for 20-30 days ?Also , is it worth running ddb verification ? if yes , Why ?Will it create any impact to backup jobs as its consuming many streams ?Also , should i consider switching from complete verification to quick verification ? what is major difference and benefits ?Regards, Mohit

Hello Dears, i have AIX server which act as file server for invoice application that saves millions of invoices every monththe directory which contains the invoices, the directory structure is consists of such directories stands for the year/month/day structure such as dir > 2021 > 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12  and 01 has directories for days and etc i configured the directory to be backed up as synthtic full and daily inc but the jobs are failing in the scan phase due to the huge number of files and folders i tried to create multiple subclients to minimized the scan window but still has the same issue, scan phase takes long time and fail in the end while directories other than the invoices is working normally.  appreciate to enlighten me with a solution or another backup starategy that will help to fix the issue and reduce the backup time. also, appreciate to advice if i increased the network agent on subclient le

He sent me a link to MS docshttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure-stack/hci/concepts/plan-volumes Customer is concerned about planning for volume sizes of VMs i.e. 2x10TB vs 1x20TB vm disk.So the question that remains is: does Commvault use Hyper-V RCT API and/or ReFS block cloning?Can I advice customer to go over 10TB vm disk without hurting performance? 

Hello All,We are planning to move the DDB and Index cache to new cloud media agent from old cloud media agent and then we would like to rename the new media agent with the name of old media agent name.In this scenario after the DDB and index migration I should power off the old cloud media agent and reinstall the new media agent with the old cloud media agent name, this is what i feel would be the best method.or this can be done differently, Any suggestions?RegardsAnanth

HelloCan anyone tell me what the unit of measure is on the report “Backup Job Summary Report” ?  The columns I need clarification on are all the size related columns. Size of Application     Data Transferred     Data Written     Data Size Change    I assume they are in bits or maybe bytes but I cannot find the answer for certain.   Also, does anyone know which API endpoint I could use in place of this report? Thanks

I have noticed when Auxcopying my Oracle logs and databases that the Auxcopy job sits at 99% and then copies a number of streams, goes into a waiting state and the select another bunch of streams. Can someone advise how the running Auxcopy job selects which “jobs to be copied to process” and whether there are any settings we can make to reduce the waiting state between selections. (Please note I am not asking how to mark jobs to be copied, but how the running Auxcopy selects the marked jobs)

After upgrading our Commvault environment from 11.26.35 to 11.28.18 we have problems browsing mailboxes. We also don't see any teams or sharepoint sites.When I browse a mailbox, the following message appears in the Commcell Console: "A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host failed to respond." On the Command Center I get the message: "This operation may take a long time. Please be patient."I suspect there is a problem with the CommServe DB, because we have a warning that the Commserve database tables are too large (8.52 GB) I have already run a DB Full Maintenance job what not solve the problem.The backup jobs that night ran through without error messages. Hello everyone,I need to configure two additional jump servers to open the netx.jar file and access the console.The Commvault infrastructure in place has separate servers for Commserve, Webserver and MediaAgents.Using the 'Port Requirements for Commvault' documentation page, I already opened the following ports :- Jump > WebServer. TCP 80-81-443- Jump > CommServe. TCP 8401But it seems it's not enough to have this properly working.SSO is not properly recognized, and none of them is going to the point of opening the console.I'm probably still missing a few ports. Could you please help me pinpoint which ones are still missing ?
