Hi.I am planning for the migration of TSM (Spectrum Project) backup data to Commvault.I have a couple of questions around the configuration:1. For backup data from Linux TSM clients, a Linux Commvault Proxy/Staging client is required?2. Same as above for Windows TSM clients, then a Windows Commvault Proxy/Staging client is required?3. Do these staging clients need the Web Server and Index Store package installed or can this run centrally from the CommServe?Please add anything that should be considered.  Thanks.Ignes 

Heyho,a customer is using lotus.In 2017, the backup was set up for this and we have a full backup in the transaction log subclient.Now it is not possible to trigger a full backup of the subclient and the command centre constantly reports that the subclient needs a full backup.Is there a way to deactivate the message for the subclient in the Command Centre? 

Anyone else experiencing the problem with Office 365 when trying to run a restore where the options were recently changed? Exchange restore I can only restore the items to the original mailbox or I need to pick another mailbox. I no longer have the option to restore to PST file. SharePoint, I can only restore to the same site or I need to pick another site. The option to restore to disk is no longer available and the same goes for OneDrive. I don’t like the limited options now for restoring Office 365 files. 

When backing up from Oracle RAC, Commvault selects an available server by default.Is it possible to select a specific server for backup? 

Hello, I am trying to do Azure Full VM restore, but i can't chose any storage account.  For the backup i am using LRS  StorageV2 (general purpose v2) in the same region as the vm. I added CVBackupRole to all subscription. For the networking we are using private endpoint But when i am trying to restore i got message "no storage account found”

Hello, I have Commserve LiveSync setup that is running version 11.32.83 on SQL 2016 SP3 on WS 2019.I want to upgrade this setup to 11.36 version which requires SQL 2022.Do I need to do some multi-step upgrade process? For example an SQL upgrade first and then commserve. Or I need to proceed as usually and SQL will be upgraded automatically? Have anyone real-life experience?Thank you in advance!

Hello All,I have Red hAt Openshift KUbernetes backup. I am backing up application via label selector as the following. We noticed that There is not some application in the backup. For example ; middleware-architecture-dev. I have tried to backup this project middleware-architecture-dev with seperate subcleint. Backup completed succesfully. BU twe saw that some object are missing. This applications are Openshift Servicemesh (istio) CRD. Does COmmvault support istio objects?  

I want to upgrade from 11.28.56 to 11.32.[latest] and want to know if I can "just do it via the Java console" (just download the software update into the cache via the Java console then push/upgrade commserve/livesync commserve via the java console) It appears you can at first glance.. but after going through the docs there appears to be some indications I cannot/should not.Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows if I cannot do it via java console only. Hi i want to doing  vm validations  with network.By design, vm validate  works without a valid network.But i need the execute post script after vm deployed to esx .Is there any way to validate vm with network ?   

On a linux RH 9.4 we are trying to configure a sybase DB. We keep getting this error and cannot find where is the error. Connectivity workd ok, FS backups of the server are working. Hi All, looking to get some feedback on the following scenario.Currently have 4 media agents with 2.5TB local SSD dedicated for DDB. A while back we decided to move to the cloud and thus created a new storage pool (deduplication enable) so we would only move changed blocks from primary to the cloud. The new DDB location for the cloud pool is on the same disk as the existing DDB for on-prem data. At the time, the capacity was ok and so we moved forward.Trying to make things easier to understand, I am adding the following screenshot;  As seen above all 4 MAs share DDBs for box Primary and Cloud and I am running out of space. We are purchasing additional drives with a higher capacity to address the problem and here is where my questions come in and would appreciate some feedback. I would prefer to avoid running new Fulls as a result of this tasks.I wanted to see if the options below are the only ones available and which one carries less down time and risk;Adding new partition: this option

Hi All, i´m looking for the requirments how much free disc space is needed on mediaagent for block level restore from exchange databse. I found this: Changing the Amount of Free Space in the Cache for Block-Level Restores for Exchange Databases but dont understand. Does it mean i need the free disc space for the summery of all incr backups ?

Hi, there is a chance to change the auxcopy automatic schedule from 30 min to 15 min in commandcenter or with a script? I’m in version 11.36 and with new installations commcel console GUI isn’t available. Additionalsetting Showschedulepolicy is not a valid way.Thanks
