My question is about Parameter sORARUNBKPONDBROLE.The documentation is not clear to me.I do not understand how commvault decides whether a backup is a log backupif I want to use the parameter sORARUNBKPONDBROLE to run my log backups, e.g. at standby site. Is the final rman script parsed for archivelog or Is the name of the subclient parsed for archivelog or ...

after upgrading from v11.22.17 to Maintennce Release v11.22.22 all our SyFull Schedule Policies (with Option “run Incr Backup before SyFull) stay in waiting Status after finishing the Pre-Incremental-Job.Suspending or Killing the Jobs is not possible. Only Cycling the Commserver-Services is helping. After Cycling the CS Services, the SyFull Jobs change to running State and the Jobs will be finished successfully.Anybody else having this Problems after installing MR v11.22.22?Regards, Alex

Hello, my aws backup jpb is configured like thisI am using intellisnapand I have selected the instances from By Region      Backup runs fine and also backup copy. now I want to change the content of the subclient, I do not want to use the default By Region  selection but By tag Can I remove all content, then select By tag and click on ok ? or is there some procedure to follow ?I know that one time I have tried to remove an instance from a subclient and after that I had a lot of error for the backup copy due to intellisnap I think. Thank you !!

When adding an instance to the RAC database in commcell console, there is a popup “name conflicted with the other instance” How can I find out which database is already setup with the instance. Ralf

Good afternoon everyone,As it says in the title, my problem is that when creating an index server to configure online Exchange backups, I assign a client with Index Store installed, but when accepting it remains loading for a long time to finish skipping an error for the 20000 that seems not to be working, it is a laboratory that I have set up so the Windows Firewall I have it disabled and I do not know well what this problem may be due to.Possible solutions? Hello,since we installed the SP23 Hotfix 7 on our commserve we have the following problem.After wie make a “Database Online Full Snap” on our Oracle-ASM DB (Linux-Server) the Snap-Job delete the SPfile. No chance to restart the DB.Why ? RegardsChris

It keeps saying “nfs directory cannot be found”. What’s the latest version that can work with it? Or an alternative thing to be done to solve the problem.

Hi!For different reasons I need to move On-prem Exchange mailboxes from one DB to other.I use intelliSnap backup so when I need to restore, first I must knew in which DB the mailbox is.My question is: if I need to restore, for example , an  email that was deleted before migration, in which DB I must look for it? The original when the item was deleted or the actual?Thanks

 We have a client that the software was uninstalled, the Commvault folder remains.I am performing a reinstall of Commvault software but before that. I changed my client name to 0001_old and clicked ok and pushed the network configuration The client name reverted back to the original client name  0001Question: is it normal for the client name to revert back to the original name when doing a push network configuration.

Hi Guys, I need your help. I have deployed a new FREL (VMware FR20) in the Customer’s environment. During Live Browse operation I am getting the following error.  Browse failed due to error while mounting virtual machine: FBR mount failed: Caught Exeption [][664][CvBlkDisk::waitForDeviceReady]:[Device FBR_2030087400-5005c102-1b7-2dcd=5495-25226756bafb-1 is not ready to mount] (CV .0x5). It doesn’t matter which virtual machine I choose.Any ideas?

Hi all, I’m trying to follow this process Maintenance Advantage Customer Support Portal - Articles - Article Details (commvault.com) to install the v9 SP10a software on a Win2K SP4 server. in a V11 CommCell. Additional setting bIgnoreCommServeVersion has been added to the registry of this client and the v9 SP10a DVD mounted on the server.After running Setup, I get as far as setting the CS and client name and specify comms is through a proxy.
