Hi everyone,I activated compliance lock on a storage policy, which prevents me from deleting any backup data linked to that policy. Afterward, I created a new library & Storage pool with a different storage policy, but I'm still using the same subclient as before. Given this new setup, why am I still unable to delete backup data after backing up new content?Thanks. 

Would you add the ability to check multiple folders in different drive letters of the same server to restore from using Command center ?

Hello, I already perfomed SP to PLAN migration but I want to know the difference between :creating a new server plan or converting an existing SP.Is there some limitations when converting to plan instead of creating a new one ? Thanks !

Hello,In one location i have two MAs(media agents) with local storage, each MA has:1. SSD storage for DDB (two disks in RAID1 array), single logical disk2. HDD storage for library (multiple disks in RAID6 array), single logical diskSo, I have two options:A. Create two Deduplication storage pools, one per server and manage how agents are spread between those pools manually. With this approach I'm familiar on practice, it is not very convenient to mage such setup. But i clearly understand how jobs and clients are spread between MAs and what happens if one of servers will fail.B. Create one big Storage pool with both MAs in grid, library paths will be shared between MAs using DataServerIP transport in read mode, pool will have common DDB with two partitions(one per MA). I'm not familiar with such setup and don't know potential downsides.So, questions regarding option (B):1. How agents and jobs are spread between MAs? How Commvault makes decision which local storage path to use, on MA1 or

Commvault Vmware 7 backup missing /opt dir contents (possibly others). I discovered this while trying to restore files (guest files) . I then did a full vm restore out of place and the files are not there uner /optThis is a serious issue haw can i ensure all files are backed up? I did for a full backup still same issue

Hi Commvault gurus! I have the following question. We need to test disaster recovery situation when loosing all infrastructure and having only tape backup available. Then, which option we should choose in CommServe Recovery Assistant - staging or recovery? As said, we just want to simulate disaster recovery situation and try to restore CommServe and couple of client in order to be prepared for such situation.What is the difference between Staging and Recovery option? I know, that when using Staging, all Backup activity is disabled, but of course it could be changed manually, couldn’t be?Is there any other pitfall, we should keep in mind? Hello Commvault Community,I'm trying to backup PostgreSQL with FSBased backup, somehow it failed at 74%. When I checked the log, it shows that there is invalid archive log directory (Log file attached). In our PostgreSQL.conf, we are using bash command in archive_command row. I also configured the postgres instance in Commvault using the path from archive_command bash file. So the path to archive log should be correct.In looks like Commvault managed to transfer data but it failed to stop the Backup Query.Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Hi together,in oine of our project we have the need to execute Exchange Single Item Recovery on a regular base. Due to this requirement we have to create a recovery point … but this takes very long (1 hour+).Is there any possibility to create a recovery immediately after the backup … or scheduled. Just to be prepared for the next single item restore?Thank you.Michael 

Dears,I'm encountering difficulties downloading the latest Outlook add-in for version 11.36. The downloader is only providing the version for 11.30.I would appreciate it if someone could assist me in obtaining the correct downloader for version 11.36.Additionally, I believe there may be an error in the documentation regarding the Outlook add-in version. It's possible that the shared version is outdated. I recommend the Commvault team verify the accuracy of the documentation to ensure it aligns with the latest version of the Outlook add-in.

I see below mentioned in storage utilization report Total Used SpaceTotal Data WrittenTotal Application SizeConsidering Total Application Size is Front End data , what is the difference between Total Used Spaceand Total Data Written , tried to find it in documentation but not able to .Why total used space is almost 50% higher than total data written ? 

We are archive exchange email using commvault,, now we want to restore the email,, is  it possible if we restore the email to another email account ? Let’s say account A archived then the email restored to Account B..

Currently I ma looking to do a restore from one server to another one, but it’s failing due to different SQL server version in the commVault Gui. I’ve confirm the server both have the same SQL version. They are also on the same environment version as commvault ( 11.32.59). I am looking to upgrade Method to the same version as Insurgent .Method SQL server version is showing 14.0.3475.1Insurgent  SQL server version is showing 16.0.4150.1  

I would like to manage the schedule in the client group.But the schedule doesn't come out  I can check it with Client computer schedule.  Is there a way to manage the schedule in the group?

Dear Commvault experts,during the planned DR test scenario our tape library should be a part of the testing DR environment, that is in the completely isolated environment. Therefore, this library will be marked as offline in the existing backup production infrastucture.My questions are: How can we ensure that the temporary test-DR CommServe can only read from the tapes and not write to them? Is it sufficient to disable the Scheduler and Data Aging features? Additionally, is it necessary to configure this tape library on the test-DR CommServe, or is it automatically recognized? Your input will be much appreciated!

Good evening folksWe currently use Commvault to backup our Exchange Online (EXO) environment and I have recently been reviewing Commvault DR options and have become a bit stuck for EXO.The components involved for EXO backups I believe are …-Access Node-Index Server-Web Server The access node and index server I understand why their needed but I am at a bit of a loss as what role the web server plays. If I change the web server under properties of the access node to another web server the restores fail so clearly the websites play a crucial role. I have read the CV documentation but am still no further forward - I can see that there is some sort of search svc installed.Any clarify that can be provided would be much appreciated.

Hi all, just looking for some advice.  I have a CommCell that had SSO enabled for years and I can see all the local Support Team accounts under users in the CommCell. I have disabled SSO on the AD domain’s configured and now I am planning on setting up MFA.  My thinking is to do the following Create an MFA group Enabled MFA for above group. Create new CV only local accounts for CV Admin staff and add these to the MFA group.Q, is this what others out there are doing ? also for old SSO accounts, can these be added to the MFA group so they can't logon and more with MFA. Thanks 

Dear Commvault experts, Could you please elaborate on the following error code: NetApp multi-streaming within an individual content path is not enabled because we could not create a snapshot on the path [content_path_name] [Event Code 39:515]?On the NDMP subclient properties tab, we attempted to enable NetApp multi-streaming within an individual content path. However, after starting the full NDMP backup job, we encountered the error message mentioned above.Is this something we can investigate on the Commvault side, or should we focus on the NetApp storage array? Based on your experience, are there any significant benefits if using this option?

Hi,In My env we created two different libraires recently we changed a storage policy for few clients and i didn’t run any manual backup after changing the storage policy. i leave as it as  schedule. my concern is Do i need to run manual full backup/ How SF will copy the previous Full?Note: We are using Same Index cache but Libraires are different. 

Hi all, In our case, it seems that the export location is nearly full. However, the jobs in both the disk and tape library associated with the DR backup appear to be of regular size. What’s strange is that the DR backup is committed every 3 hours.My questions are:Is it possible to change the default retention period (90 days) for the export location? Where can I check and modify the schedule for the DR backup? Is it possible to delete DR backup jobs from the export location when there is insufficient space? Your help will be much appreciated!

Hello Commvault Community,We have development commcell to test VMware and Nutanix Backup. We managed to add both to the Commcell environment, but somehow it always failed to fetch information about VM list in the VM group sections. And it only happened in the Command Center, we manage to browse fine in the Console.Is there any fix or log we can check for this issue.Note:CS, MA, Commandcenter is in single machine.Screenshot attached.
