Hi  we are currently setting up a Test Environment to test Live Mount and Live recovery functionality in Commvault.  When trying to Live Recover a previously backed up VM we get the following error message:Tdfs::TdfsConfigClient::SendCommand(1854) - Error attaching to server. Hi, Is there a simple way to browse/recover mailbox items from a specific incremental backup (exchange DB classic)?I do not think so, could not find anything,  but my customer is facing the issue that he needs to browse multiple pages (>100) searching for a specific item.There are advanced plan to migrate, but this does not solve the challenge the facing right now. Thanks,Danny

i see this all the time and i never understood it. we make backup copies from disk to tape, both attached to the same media agent. During these aux copies it has the Data Transferred over Network number, which I think should be 0, but there is usually a number there. For example this aux job has these numbers, still running:Total Data Processed: 3.23 TBData Transferred Over Network: 107.95 GBTotal Data to Process: 4.7 TB

The VSA proxies are virtual machines and they send the data to physical media agents.We got the question from our customer: which value do you take into account to make your disk capacity calculations from the VMWare RVTools? Upgrading my DDB’s to V5, trying to avoid fully stopping backups while I squeeze in the upgrade. Is it possible to check “Temporarily Disable Deduplication”  under Dedupe Engines > [DDB name] > properties > Deduplication > advanced tab, and perform the upgrade? Hello,We are running Commvault 11.28.32 / 2022E.I would need some help with cvCertTool (cvCertTool.cmd) utility, I have generated a wrong CSR and I would like to delete it and create a new one.Is there a way to do that “properly” ?Do I have to enable the force-actions=true parameter in the properties file ?Or do I have to create a new workspace, and then generate a new keypair, and CSR ?Thank you in advance.Regards

How do I schedule a backup job for say 10pm manually if I want to run a backup on something for a 1 time deal? I can’t seem to find how to do that. I want to run a manual Full but I don’t want it to start until 6pm.

Hi All,We are running PostgreSQL log backups every 15 minutes, daily incrementals and weekly synthetic fulls. The backups are FSBased.The synthetic fulls take about four hours. The log backups are in the waiting state until the full backup finishes.The customer points out that the 15 min RPO objective is not fulfilled during the 4-hour full backup runtime.Is there any option to backup the logs during the synthetic full backup?Thank you,Lubos

Hi All, Yesterday, we saw that the metadata database created by Optimize Scan on one of our servers filled the disk. So we stopped this by adding the "nStartDataClassifier" key.However, our disk is still full and we are looking for a way to delete or shrink this metadata database.  We are trying to create a restore Task via REST-API with the user having Master rights; but getting error token as unauthorized error --  GET /CVWebService.svc/Subclient/***** : HTTP code 'Unauthorized' any suggestions, how to resolve the same?

We want to keep yearly tape backups for an infinite amount of time, but the year should not start at 1st january, but 1st march. For daily, weekly and monthly I can choose, when the day, week or month is starting. But I cannot choose when the year should start.Is this not possible? I do not want a yearly backup at the time of 1st january, but 1-2 months later.  We also have monthly full backups, which we keep for half a year. Should I just retain one from them as infinite manually?Thanks!

I have an existing Schedule Policy which under its Backup Task Options, there is a check box that allows Run Incremental Backup under the Synthetic Full radio button when selected.  I would like to create a similar Schedule Policy with the same Run Incremental Backup option. But when Editing the Tasks for its Backup Option, I don’t see the Run Incremental Backup check box option. The diagram shows the Existing Schedule Policy which has the option at the top, and the newly created Schedule Policy which does not provide that option at the bottom.  I suppose a workaround is for me to create a clone of the existing schedule policy and make the adjustments. But I would still like to know what is involved when creating a new Schedule Policy to have the Run Incremental Backup option on Synthetic Full backup options. 

We are looking to automate Commvault IDA agents Installation and client settings configuration such as encryption, dedupe , storage policy , filters , schedules , database subclient settings such as oracle home, path etc. .Does anyone has custom workflows deployed for agent installation and client configuration ? if yes please share .Also , what is recommended way of achieving this ?Is it possible to achieve 100% configuration for client through RestAPI ?
