Hello,I need to send events from the commvault to SolarWinds. The SolarWinds guy want to do it from Microsoft event viewer, how can i send commvault event and alert to Microsoft event viewer.

Hello.I’m stuck in the remote software installation required to enable the AppAware backup for Active Directory.I’ve already read the following post:Failed to install Base Package Failed to install File System Core PackageBut my problem seems like a kind of union of the two.I followd the above thread suggestions and I can confirm that1. The Commserve is a Windows machine2. The communication between the Commserve and the DCs is fully opened.3. The WMI connection test has succeded. I can connect the the DCs with the wbemtest toolWMi testThe installation fails with the generic error “Install Software Failed Source: srvbkcv01, Process: DistributeSoftware”. Hi CommunityI am using CV 11.24.29.When I go to the Command Center and display the job history for a client I get a list of 170 rows.When I go to settings → export to CSV  … I get a CSV file.Unfortunately I allways get only 26 lines in this csv file (1 header line, 25 data lines).If I scroll down in the command center, I get different rows, but I do not get more than 25 lines.Do you have an idea what is going wrong. How can I increase the number of rows?Regards.Michael

commvault server is 11.28  mysql client is 11.28 when restore using full instance by xtrabackup , commvault server is always 70%,and the data already be restored,but the log of commvault server always loop link, and now the mysql server is already be started.the log is

Hello Team, Firstly, all of your documents are still pointing to PostgreSQL version 9.6, not sure whether you have noticed this. If not, kindly update it as it becomes too difficult for us. Secondly, need some clarification on tablespace handling on PostgreSQL v11 and v13. Will the FS level backup work when tblspc is created inside $PGDATA If not, when can we expect this fix?Regards,Kamal

1, we have more tag on Azure disk, when I backup Azure VM by Intellisnap, couldn’t see any tags on snapshot. How to inherit Azure disk tag on snapshot? 2, I restored one Azure VM, restore Azure VM inherit tag from source, but Azure Disk didn’t inherit tag from source disk, any chance to inherit automatically?

I have a media agent installed on sparc with SunOS 5.11 operating system on it, and it does not have DDB MediaAgent role assigned, thus i cannot create local deduplication database partition. Is there a way to assign a DDB MediaAgent role to this media agent?

Someone on my team wanted to try to add a new Tape Library to the environment using Command Center.  I had never done this in Command Center before, so I watched the user go through the steps.  We found that it had created the library and the storage pools.  But we could not find any way to create barcode patterns or to create another scratch pool from the Command Center.We are an MSP and this is an essential step in being able to use the library.We then tried to create the barcode patterns and other scratch pools from the CommCell Console.  We created the entities but then found we could not associate it to the pool/plan.It appears that the option to change the scratch pool is greyed out in this case.Is it expected that you cannot edit the scratch pool when the library/storage policy/plan is created from the Command Center?  Or are we missing something here?Furthermore I was expecting a much more user-friendly approach to adding tape to the environment.  For example, the user had to s

So this is deployment 3 of 3 this week. And the first two have gone flawless. Pointed out some notes and documentation errors to the Commvault staff as well. However, this 3rd one is giving me grief. I am receiving a Failed to validate cluster please check the cvmanager.log for details.Ok, So - Note that all three nodes are green with Checks for status. So those are fineThe logs - this is where it gets weird. I have checked all three nodes /opt/commvault/logs/cvmanager.log - is blank. Theres nothing is there. I even tried to tailf the log file during the install and it just sits . So there is nothign being written to the logs.Now what? Well i burned like 4 hours trying to solve this so i just blew them away- reimaged all 3 nodes and started over. Here I am- Same things with fresh installs. I checked NTP and date/time is all gtg as well. What else should I be checking? Network is all working- I can hit all IP’s and ssh , iscsi etc is GTG.  Ready? Go! 

Hi,we have an old Citrix XenServer cluster with 2 VMs.On this cluster there was a Commvault proxy running for backing up the VMs in the cluster.Now it seems that the storage have a problem. Actually rebuild is running but i don’t know if that works.Last backups running fine…..but is it possible to restore a VM without proxy? Filebrowse works fine and i can restore files and folders but not my complete VM.Any ideas how i can restore this VM? Actually the VM backup is on my B2D store.RegardsDennis

Hi, more time when server are fully loaded, when i restore guest file from a vm backup and on restore process i use DOWNLOAD from web console and i have “error” session disconnect.In this situation the web browser not download restored file, but from console i see restore process complete.i suppose that are the timeout of commandcenter session but the file processed are store in a temporary  folder of commserve?Thanks
